She was born in Ohio.

ODESSA — Jake Yates, 84, of Odessa, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Detroit and moved to Odessa in 1934 from Lovington. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Stella Birchfield of Houston; son, Steve Yates of Houston; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

CRANE — Wayne Burman Brown, 83, of Crane, a retired Chevron employee, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Crane County Care Center.

He was born in Hastings. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was Methodist.
