Gerald Woods

ANDREWS - Gerald Clyde Woods, 47, a truck driver, died Tuesday, Aug. 26 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church in Andrews with the Revs. William Jackson and Kennedy Young officiating. Services will also be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Shady Grove Baptist Church in Cason with the Rev. Ulysses Fort officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove cemetery in Cason. Funeral arrangements by McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.

He was born in Cason and lived in Andrews from 1979 to 1994 when he moved with his family to Sweetwater. He moved back to Andrews in 1997. He was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Melinda Woods of Andrews; sons, Jamall Jones of Dallas; Geremy Woods of Andrews; daughters, Christia Rogers of San Marcos; RitaNitra Woods of Andrews; father, Arthur Woods of Cason; brothers, Willie Woods of Dallas; Winford Woods of Cedar Hill; Lawrence Woods of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sisters, Argie White of Fort Worth; Joyce Gholston of Longview; Vivian Gibbs of Dallas; and four grandchildren.

Enorse Jackson

BIG SPRING - Enorse Jackson, 82, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997, at V.A. Hospital. Funeral arrangements are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

H.C. Robinson

ODESSA - H.C. Robinson, 77, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997, in Odessa. Funeral arrangements are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

R.L. Blair

ODESSA - R.L. Blair, 76, service manager for Oil Transport Co., died Monday, Aug. 25, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. L.D. Green officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Abilene, and was a resident of Odessa. He was a member of University Park Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Peggy Blair of Odessa; son, Robert K. Blair of Visalia, Calif.; brother, Preston Blair of Odessa; sister, Emma Jean Cornutt of Colorado City; and two grandchildren.

Enorse Jackson

ODESSA - Enorse 'Buck' Jackson, 82, a retired truck driver, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997, at the V.A. Hospital in Big Spring.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Martinez Funeral Home with the Rev. R.C. Norris officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Springfield, and had been a resident of Odessa for 11 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Earnest James Jackson of Odessa, Willie Jackson of Arlington, Enorse Jackson Jr. of Los Angeles, Billy Ray Jackson of Odessa and Michael Jackson of Arlington; daughters, Bennett Jackson and Shirley Jean Jackson, both of Fort Worth; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Ruth Randolph

MONAHANS - Ruth Randolph, 81, a retired beautician, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997, at Ward Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church of Wickett with the Rev. Sue Hart officiating. Burial will be in Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Fairland, Okla., and was a longtime resident of Wickett. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Woodrow Randolph of Wickett; sons, Woody Van Randolph of Wickett and James L. Randolph of Cedar Park; daughter, Pamela Jane Taylor of Houston; sisters, Dorothy Hudspeth of Afton, Okla., Jessie M. Eagle of Grove, Okla., and Carolyn Arrowood of Fort Worth; and three grandchildren.

Maria M. Sanchez

FORT STOCKTON - Maria M. Sanchez, 88, a housekeeper, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997, in Fort Stockton.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at the Fort Stockton Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim Chaumont officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

She was born in Presidio and had been a resident of Fort Stockton since 1967. She was a Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Alberto Sanchez of Fort Stockton; sons, Oscar Sanchez, Alfredo Sanchez and Daniel Sanchez, all of Fort Stockton; daughters, Margarita Sifuentez of Fort Stockton and Maria De Jesus Samaniego of Presidio; brother, Guillermo Rodriguez of Phoenix; sisters, Esperiaza Franco of Los Angeles, Anita Contreraz of El Paso and Hortencia Enciso of Alpine; 28 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Virgie Kelley Tidwell

ODESSA - Virgie Kelley Tidwell, 91, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997, in Houston.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Thomason officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Stephenville, and had been a resident of Odessa since 1946. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Joe Tidwell of Odessa, Allen D. Tidwell of Snyder and M.K. Tidwell of Alvin; daughters, Jessie Webb of Odessa, Betty Turner of Houston and Barbara Staggs of Corpus Christi; brothers, Ollie D. Livingston of Lubbock and D.H. Livingston of Ranger; 22 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Carl Scott Morgan

ODESSA - Carl Scott Morgan, 54, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997, at his residence.

Otis Thursby

ODESSA - Otis Thursby, 74, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital. Funeral arrangements are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Sibyl Long

HASKELL - Sibyl Long, 79, a homemaker and hairdresser, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997, in Haskell. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. today at the Church of Christ in Haskell with Dale Huff, Ford Cole and the officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m. today at the Kermit cemetery in Kermit with the Rev. John Cary officiating. Arrangements by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.

She was born in Quanah and was a resident of Kermit before moving to Haskell. She was a Baptist. SURVIVORS: Son, Gene Long of Haskell; brother, F.B. Cook of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Tomasa Calderon

ODESSA - Tomasa Calderon, 98, died Aug. 29, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Juan Ramos officiating. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.

She was born in Marathon, and was a resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Rudolph Henri of Devine, Antonio Calderon of Marfa and M.E. Calderon, Adalberto Calderon and Robert Calderon, all of Odessa; daughters, Elizabeth Rodriguez of Wendell, Idaho, and Ella Alvarez of Santa Maria, Calif.; 27 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Yolanda Peregrino

HOUSTON - Yolanda Peregrino, 47, a homemaker, died Aug. 27, 1997, at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston. Rosary was said at Friday at Martinez Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Luis Cepeda officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Odessa, and was a resident of Houston for seven years. She was a Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Jose Peregrino of Houston; ; sons, Jose Peregrino and Inez Peregrino, both of Houston; daughter, Marisol Tavarez of Houston; father, Tony Bernal Sr. of Odessa; mother, Gumecinda Tavarez of Bethany, Okla.; brothers, Tony Bernal Jr. of Edmond, Steve Bernal of Odessa and Richard Bernal of Bethany, Okla.; sister, Virginia Carrasco of Houston; and one grandchild.

Francisca Mata

PECOS - Francisca C. Mata, 81, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 29, 1997, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel in Pecos. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Pecos with the Rev. Antonio Mena officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home in Pecos.

She was born in Ruidosa, N.M., and was a resident of Pecos. She was a Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Felix Mata, Domingo 'Mingo' Mata and Enrique Mata, all of Pecos; daughters, Julia Contreras, Catalina 'Cato' Ybarra, Flora Ybarra and Anita Evaro, all of Pecos and Vicky Ybarra of Midland; brothers, Lupe Carrasco and Nick Carrasco, both of Pecos; sisters, Eugenia Sanchez of Toyah, Manuela Contreras of Pecos and Catalina 'La Wera' Meraz of Amarillo; 34 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.
