Ruby Oleta Stout
ODESSA — Ruby Oleta Stout, 83, of Odessa died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mrs. Stout was born Feb. 24, 1917, in Stigler, Okla., and moved to Odessa in 1950. She married
Loyd Harper Stout Aug. 15, 1936, in Stigler, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Stout was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was retired from the Ector County Independent School District where she worked as a cafeteria manager for many years.
She is survived by sons, Don Stout and wife, Barbara, of Odessa, Bill Stout and wife, Alice Faye, of Stigler, Okla.; and daughter, Judy Evans and husband, Ronnie, of Odessa; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Oscar Parsons of Stigler, Okla.; sisters, Thelma Phillips and Mary Scates, both of Odessa, Vineta Vinzant of Muskogee, Okla., and Noretta Livesay of Stigler, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Henery Parsons; her mother, Beulah Mae Parsons; stepmother, Grace Parsons; and sisters, Iona Forrest, Geneva Johnston and Naomi Henslee.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2000, at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Thorpe officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Albert Adams, Jeff Houston, Webbie Russell, Randy Myers, Johnny Thomason and Corky Crowan.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Nelle Healy
ODESSA — Nelle Healy died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at the age of 97 in Albuquerque, N.M.
Her husband, Bernard Healy, preceded her in death in Odessa March 27, 1967.
Nelle is survived by nieces, Patsy Estes of Albuquerque, N.M., and MaryAnn Conley of Arlington; and nephews, Thomas Joe Berry of Mesquite and Patrick J. Berry of Dallas.
She was born Aug. 27, 1902, in Bridgeport of Swedish immigrant parents, Peter Hanson and Tena Ogren. At 22 years of age, she moved to Fort Worth to assume her lifelong career as a bookkeeper.
She met and married
Bernard Healy in 1931. They then moved to Monahans where he was active in oilfield drilling and lived there until 1933, at which time they moved to Odessa. When arriving in Odessa, she became active in the First Presbyterian Church where she was known as the oldest member of the church and served in many capacities from janitor to pianist to treasurer.
In early years, First Presbyterian Church was located in a frame building on Texas Street, and during the depression, she kept the church money in a paper sack at her home since there were no banks. During her years in Odessa, she worked as bookkeeper for the Odessa American, Alps Oil Co., Paul Moss and Paul Slater, finally retiring in 1989 at the age of 87.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2000, at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Sherry Holloman officiating.
Interment took place Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at Mount Olivet cemetery in Fort Worth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nelle Healy’s name to First Presbyterian Church in Odessa.

Deacon C.J. Drones
CRANE — Deacon C.J. Drones, 65, of Crane died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at North Texas Health Care Veterans Administration Hospital in Dallas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at the First Baptist Church of Crane with the Rev. J.M. Jeffery officiating. The Rev. H.A. Bowens, of Faith Missionary Baptist Church of Kermit, will deliver the eulogy. All services are under the direction of Richard W. Box Funeral Homes.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, at Richard W. Box Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 14, 1935, in Marlin. He attended public school in San Angelo.
He worked for Ruthco as an oilfield worker for many years. He opened Triple J Bar-B-Que in January 1976. As a result of health problems, he was forced to close the business in May 1999.
He was preceded in death by his father, A.Z. Drones; and his sister, Effie Lee Drones.
His survivors include his mother, Ruth Ann Tate Drones; wife, Irene Drones; daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline Denise and Lloyd Caldwell of La Marque, Demetra Ann and Lawrence Montegut of La Marque and Jo Ann Davenport of Odessa; sons, Cedric James Drones and Luther Bernard Davenport, both of Crane; four grandchildren, Luther Bernard Davenport Jr. of Crane and D’Lara Denise Montegut, Lawrence Montegut Jr. and Lauryn Nicole Caldwell of La Marque; six brothers, Frank Drones and his wife Dorothy of Abilene, Deroy Drones and his wife Lois of Dallas, Alvin Drones and his wife Evelyn of San Francisco, A.Z. Drones Jr. and his wife Charlotte of Fort Worth, Jerry Drones and his wife Jo-Rita of La Marque and Elder Eddie Lee White and his wife Barbara of Oxnard, Calif.; and a host of relatives and friends.
Jenny Lind Malone
MONAHANS — Services were held for Jenny Lind Malone at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at Harkey Funeral Chapel in Monahans with Jeff Box officiating.
Pallbearers were her nephews: Blake Cox, Chase Cox, Dewain Finley, Mickey Finley, Glen Finley and Tommy Finley.
She passed to her new life early Feb. 3, 2000, in Midland at a personal care home. She was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Anson.
Jenny was the wife of H.M. Malone, who preceded her in death. Jenny and Hub were rnarried for 56 years. She lived in Monahans for over 30 years.
Jenny was a very creative person and, through the years, made many beautiful items. She did a lot of beautiful handwork, but is especially remembered for her refinishing of antique furniture and hand-painted porcelain.
Jenny had seven nephews and five nieces and she took every opportunity to spend time with them when possible.
She is survived by one sister, Joan Cox of Monahans; one brother, Orville Finley of Andrews; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Rae Evelyn McIIwain; and one brother, Charles Don Finley.
Jenny was very much an individual and will be remembered for her smile, her kindness and her generosity.
Edith Lear Pettit
RANKIN — Edith L. Pettit, 82, of Rankin passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at the Reagan County Care Center in Big Lake.
Our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother has gone to a peaceful place.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at the First United Methodist Church in Rankin with the Rev. Chip Allen, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Rankin, and the Rev. Alan Speed, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church of Jal, N.M., officiating. Burial will follow at Stiles cemetery. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home of San Angelo.
Edith "Mother" was born Feb. 16, 1917, in Roby, to Dick Lear and Stella Woods Lear. She married
J.B. Pettit Jr. on July 15, 1936, in Big Lake. He preceded her in death June 21, 1980. She worked at the school cafeteria and retired from the Rankin Independent School District after 30 years of service. Edith was a member of the Rankin First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Nina Gayle Michum of Rankin and Marie Plott of San Angelo; son, J.B. (Jim) Pettit III and his wife, Toni, of Jal, N.M.; brother-in-law, Japson Pettit and his wife, Dorothy, of Big Lake; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Lear of Lubbock; a granddaughter, Kelly Pettit of Las Cruces, N.M.; and three grandsons and their wives, Jeff Pettit of Jal, N.M., Danny Michum and wife, Daun, and Paul Ray Michum and wife, Connie, all of Rankin; great-granddaughter, Baleagh Michum of Rankin; and one great-grandson, Dalton Michum of Rankin.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Mitchell, Tommy Owens, Dod James, Stanley James, Charlie Peterson and Libb Wallace.
Teddie Troice Davidson
ODESSA — Teddie Troice Davidson, 62, of Odessa died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, at his residence.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at Parkview Church of Christ with Charles Jones and Joe Cross officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
He was born July 14, 1937, in Cross Plains. He married
Barbara Lilly on May 31, 1961, in Odessa.
Mr. Davidson has lived in Odessa since 1946. He was the owner of T.D. Engine & Pump for 13 years and later Consolidated Services. He was a member of Parkview Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Davidson of Odessa; sons, Farron Davidson and wife, Kristi, and Jay Davidson, all of Odessa; daughter, Tina Clark and husband, James, of Edmond, Okla.; mother, Jonnie Mae Jernigan of Fairhope, Ala.; brothers, Jimmie Davidson of Palmer, Alaska, and Bobby Jernigan of Fairhope, Ala.; and six grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Odessa Christian School, 2000 Doran Dr., Odessa, Texas, 79761.
