ODESSA — Noel Ray Henkell, 81, of Odessa, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, at a local hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
He was born in Hatch, N.M.

PECOS — Ismael M. Lara, 68, of Pecos, a retired Pecos Balley Southern Railroad employee, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, at Reeves County Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangments by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Mertzon. He was Catholic.

ANDREWS — Maxwell Porter, 66, of Odessa, a former Union Oil Company employee, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, at Snyder Oaks Nursing Home.

He was born in Fayette, Ala. He lived in Andrews for 44 years before moving to Odessa four yeas ago. He was Baptist.

ODESSA — William J. "Buddy" Smith, 79, of Odessa, a former self-employed milk salesman, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, at his home.

IRAAN — Billy J. Smart, 70, of Iraan, a retired city of Iraan employee, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, at his home.

He was born in Cross Plains. He lived in Iraan for 50 years.

He was born in Phoenix, Ariz. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

ANDREWS — Robert Samuel "Bob" Dillard Jr., 79, of Andrews, a retired employee of Phillips Oil Company, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at his residence.

He was born in Coryell County and was a longtime resident of Andrews. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Church of Christ.
