He was born in Roxanne, Ill., and was a resident of Monahans. He was a Christian.

ODESSA - Herb Stiefvater, 85, a former tool pusher with McQueen-Stout Drilling Co., died Saturday, Aug. 30, 1997, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa with the Rev. Jess Little officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Valders, Wis., and was a resident of Odessa from 1951 to 1993 before moving to Natchitoches, La. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Bob Stiefvater of Natchitoches, La., and Dan Stiefvater of Houston; seven brothers; four sisters; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was born in Del Rio and was a resident of Winkler County for 40 years. She was a Catholic.
