Jeff W. Wilkerson
ODESSA — Jeff W. Wilkerson, 93, of Odessa, died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
He was born Feb. 21, 1907, in Brownwood. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1927 until his retirement in 1948. He moved to Odessa from Phoenix, Ariz., in 1988 and married
Ruby Tacker March 25, 1989, in Odessa. He was a member of Parkview Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby, June 15, 2000.
Survivors include sisters, Velma Dansby of Tyler, Lena Soukup of Ingram and Ann Williams of Tolar; brother, Wilmet Wilkerson of Big Spring; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by stepsons, George, Carl, Rick and Butch Tacker of Odessa; and stepdaughters, Molly Upshaw of Spearsville, La., Jenny Duncan and Joyce Tomlin, both of Odessa.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2000, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with Charles Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Dorothy Elizabeth Burton
ODESSA — Services for Dorothy Elizabeth Burton, 76, of Odessa, are scheduled for 4 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Pastor Ken Davis officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Burton died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at Seabury Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Fort Worth. She married
Jack R. Burton Jan. 30, 1956.
Mrs. Burton was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she had taught Sabbath School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruth Voorhies.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Burton of Odessa; sons, Bobby Stevens of Dallas, Randy G. Burton of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Danny R. Burton of Austin; brothers, Edward Voorhies of Fort Worth and Larry Voorhies of Hurst; sisters, Billie Crites and Maria L. Shockley, both of Fort Worth; and two grandchildren.

Mariana Valenzuela Flores
ODESSA — Services for Mariana Valenzuela Flores, 80, of Odessa, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Fidelo Lugo officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Flores died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Jan. 1, 1920, in Presidio.
Mrs. Flores was a homemaker and a Catholic. The greatest memories that she left were the love for everyone and everything.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Flores Sr.; son, Jose Flores; daughter, Susie Flores; parents, Francisco and Cruz Valenzuela; five brothers; one sister; and one grandson, Michael Flores.
Survivors include her son, Juan Flores Jr. of Odessa; daughters, Maria Flores, Josephina Flores, and Olivia Flores, all of Odessa, Connie Badillo of Laguna Hills, Calif., and Cruz Cockrell of The Woodlands; brothers, Lupe Valenzuela and Simon Valenzuela, both of Monahans, and Maximo Valenzuela of San Antonio; sister, Maria Cruz Cantano of Odessa; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be her great-grandsons.

Zelma Sue McLain Hale
ODESSA — Zelma Sue McLain Hale, 72, of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. Mrs. Hale, a homemaker, was born July 13, 1928, in Lamesa to Earl and Sally Ella Gunter. She married
G.D. "Red" McLain Aug. 29, 1949. G.D. died in 1994.
A Pecos resident for 30 years, Mrs. Hale moved to Odessa in 1996. She married
Charles Hale Aug. 4, 1997, in Colorado City. She was a born-again believer in Jesus Christ.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. William Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hale is survived by her husband, Charles Hale of Odessa; her sons, Wade McLain of O’Donnell, Mitchell McLain of Abilene and Michael McLain of Greenwood; her stepsons, David Hale of Houston and Russell Hale of Monahans; her daughters, Karen Watts of Odessa, Fonda Hazel of Pensacola, Fla., Nan Graham of Granbury and Sherma Bowen of Monahans; her stepdaughters, Kathy Purcell and Shirley Gutierrez, both of Seagraves, and Kara Sue Hale and Regina Isabell, both of Brownfield. She is also survived by her brothers, Harrell Gunter of Sacramento, Calif., Donny Gunter of Union City, Calif., and Bobby Gunter of Ceref, Calif.; her sisters, Velma Frost of Oakfield, Wis., Renee Khoury of Amarillo, Isabel Cannady of Oakdale, Calif., and Nita Chase of Kingman, Ariz. Mrs. Hale had 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Robert Noel Crenshaw Sr.
ODESSA — Robert Noel Crenshaw Sr., 61, of Odessa, went to be with our heavenly Father and his three children July 26, 2000. He was born Jan. 14, 1939, in Morehouse, Mo., to Noel Crenshaw and Alvie Mayers.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
Mr. Crenshaw married
Tommie Laverne Boshell Crenshaw Nov. 15, 1958, in Sikeston, Mo., and had nine children. He retired from the United States Navy after serving his country for 20 years and was a Vietnam veteran. After moving to Odessa in 1979, he worked in the oilfield and was currently employed at Eckels Manufacturing as a night janitor. He was Baptist.
He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Noel Crenshaw Jr.; two daughters, Carol Laverne and Jeannette Marie Crenshaw; his parents, Noel Crenshaw and Alvie Mayers; one brother, Kenneth Crenshaw; and one sister, Barbara Taylor.
Survivors include his wife, Tommie Crenshaw of Odessa; five sons and one daughter, Mickil Crenshaw, Thomas Crenshaw, Bobby Crenshaw and Timothy Crenshaw, all of Odessa, Terry Crenshaw of Lacy, Wash., and Tammy Scott and her husband, Pete, of Odessa; one brother, James Griffen of Morehouse, Mo.; two sisters, Anna Anderson of Sikeston and Betty Tooley of Chicago; 18 grandchildren, Randy, Jeannette, Tia, Trina, Josh, Misty, Eric, Scotty, Tuesday, Mikey, Tiffany, Angel, Sammy, Stormy, Dakotah, Andrea, Zach and T.J.
To my husband: I want you to know that you are the best husband in the world and if I had the chance to change anything, I wouldn’t because you made my life complete. I love you forever and ever.
To our dad: I hope you know dad how much we truly do love you and how much we are going to miss you. If we could have picked any dad in the world we want you to know that we would have picked you because not only were you the best dad and grandfather anyone could have but you were also our best friend and we knew we could come to you for anything. You gave us everything and then some and dad, we just want to say THANK YOU for being you. We love you more than there are stars in the sky. We love you, daddy.

Nellie Lorene Brady
LONDON, Texas — Nellie L. Brady, age 79, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at an Austin hospital after a nine-month battle with colon cancer and suffering from a broken leg.
Nellie Lorene Brady, of Ingram, was born in Menard County Sept. 9, 1920, to George Marion and Nellie Lodusky Hight. She grew up on farms near London, McCullough County, and attended schools in the Little Saline community and London. When the high school was moved to Junction, some 16 miles away, she quit school after completing the ninth grade. She married
E.B. Brady Jr. Aug. 11, 1939. In 1950, they moved to Odessa to find work in the oilfields of West Texas where they raised their family and lived until 1991. Then they moved to Ingram. Her husband preceded her in death in 1991. Her younger son, Larry Glenn Brady, died in an automobile accident in 1968.
She is survived by daughters, Janice French of Ingram and Darlene French and husband, David Kiser, of Cedar Creek; son, Donald Brady and wife, Carole, of Norman, Okla.; grandchildren, Stephen Ward of Lawton, Okla., Debra Meyer of Kerrville, Donna Ellis, Darryl Brady and De Wayne Brady, all of Odessa, Melissa Holt and Blake French, both of Austin, and Barrett Cox of Geneva, Ill.; and eight great-grandchildren.
No one ever went hungry in Mama’s house as she loved to cook and her homemade yeast rolls were always in demand. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and will be missed by all family members and many, many friends. She took in many stray animals and family members over the years. She was at her best when helping her family members who were trying to better themselves. She also gardened and canned fresh fruits and vegetables until she became too ill to do so.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Stephen Ward, Darryl Brady, De Wayne Brady, Blake French; and also granddaughters’ husbands, Steven Holt and David Ellis.
Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Wright’s Funeral Parlor in Kerrville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of London. Graveside services will follow at Little Saline cemetery in London with Paul McClung officiating the services.
All arrangements are under the direction of Wright’s Funeral Parlor of Kerrville.
Jo Brown
ODESSA — Josephine Ethel Brown was born Sept. 26, 1918, in Zwolle, La., to Clarence and Macadia Parrie. She passed away at her residence July 27, 2000.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Jo married
Tom Brown in Lafayette, La., June 2, 1940. They moved to Odessa over 50 years ago. They enjoyed fishing and bowling together. She worked over 13 years for Kmart and retired in 1985.
Her husband, parents and one brother, Clarence Parrie, Jr., preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Dale Brown of Odessa; a daughter, Geneva J. McAfee of Monahans; a brother, Sam Parrie of Zwolle; four sisters, Louise Wilkerson, Francis Downs and Pauline Parrie, all of Zwolle, and Bessie Armstrong of Kenner, La.; four grandchildren, Josephine Inez Peters of Stephenville, Michael Brown of Odessa, John Shelton McAfee of Dayton, Ohio, and Julius Jacob McAfee of Desdemona; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
