Robert McKee

ODESSA - Robert Dee McKee, 57, foreman of oilfield and construction company, of Odessa died Monday, Sept. 1, 1997, at his residence.

Mass was celebrated Thursday, Sept. 4, at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel A. Burial was in Rosehill cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Sonora, and was a member of Mission Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Dolores McKee of Odessa; sons, Virgil McKee of Odessa, Wesley McKee of Atlanta, Ga.; step-son, Larry Poyner of Odessa; step-daughters, Debbie Jenkins of Odessa; Tammy Mills of Odessa; brothers, Mitchell McKee of Odessa; Joe McKee of McCamey; Bruce McKee of Imperial; Frank McKee of Pampa; Charlie McKee of McCamey; sisters, Margarey Wagner of Dallas; Linda Brown of McCamey; Joyce McKee of McCamey; two grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

Willie Shortes

TAOS, N.M. - Willie Epley Shortes, 87, of Taos, N.M., died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1997.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Evergreen cemetery in Stanton. Funeral arrangements by Gilbreath Funeral Home.

She was born in Midland and lived in Odessa from 1936 to 1994 when she moved to New Braunfels. She had lived in Taos for the past nine months. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Odessa and the Republican Women Organization.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Sue Davis of New Braunfels; Nancy Stewart of Taos, N.M.; brother, Ernest Epley of Pecos; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Eula Stewart

SEMINOLE - Eula Orlena Stewart, 97, homemaker and hat maker, of Seminole died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 1997, at Memorial Health Care Center.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mount Hope cemetery in Anson. Funeral arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

She was born in Limestone County and was a Methodist. She had been a resident of Seminole since 1995.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Joe Ed Stewart of Seminole; Ray Dell Lefevere of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Robert Walker

PECOS - Robert Neal Walker, 82, superintendent for Cotton Oil Mill, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1997, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Church of Christ in Pecos. Funeral arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

He was born in Ballenger and had been a resident of Pecos for 47 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Sons, G.W. Walker of Pecos; Bob N. Walker of Leaday; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Timothy Collier

MIDLAND - Timothy Reed Collier, 34, of Midland died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1997, at his residence.

Services are pending with Pipkin Funeral Home of Midland.

Joe Bob Ballard

ODESSA - Joe Bob Ballard, 73, a veteran who served in the United States Navy, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1997, at his home in Odessa.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial cemetery with the Rev., Glen Harlin officiating. Funeral arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.

He was born in Crowell.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Ann M. Ballard of Odessa; Son, Gary R. Ballard of Odessa; Daughters, Julie B. Wyatt and Susan Magee, both of Odessa; Mother, Lela F. Ballard; and five granddaughters.

Elias G. Carrillo

ODESSA - Elias G. Carrillo, 67, a lifelong Odessa resident, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Martinez Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Odessa. Burial will be at Rosehill cemetery. Funeral arrangements by the Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Mexico.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Josefa Carrillo of Odessa; Daughter, Nancy E. Baeza of Odessa; Sons, Arturo N. Carrasco, Antonio Carrasco and Elias Carrillo, Jr., all of Odessa and Pedro Carrillo of Beaumont; and four grandchildren.

Timothy Collier

MIDLAND - Timothy Reed Collier, 34, teacher, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1997, at his residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at West Side Church of Christ with the Rev. Don Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Pipkin Funeral Home.

He was born in Midland, and attended Robert E. Lee High School. He was a substitute teacher for all Midland schools.

SURVIVORS: Father, Richard D. Collier of Odessa; step-mother, Kathryn Collier of Odessa; sisters, Melissa Breden of Phoenix, Ariz.; Sarah Kasky of Hillmond, Mich.; Janice Hill of Odessa; brother, Bobby Meroney of Odessa.

Jalen M. Moore

SEAGRAVES - Jalen M. Moore, 3, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1997, at the Brownfield Regional Medical Center in Brownfield.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Freedom Missionary Baptist Church in Odessa with the Rev. Hezekiah Lewis officiating. Burial will be at the Seagraves cemetery at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Funeral arrangements by the Head Family Funeral Home of Seagraves.

He was born July 18, 1994, in Odessa and recently moved from Lubbock to Seagraves.

SURVIVORS: Parents, Johnal Moore of Odessa and Cheryl Wilson of Seagraves; Brother, J.J. Moore of Odessa; Sister, Jalessa Moore of Odessa; Grandparents, Archie and Earsie Moore of Odessa and Curtis and Louise Wilson of Seagraves.

Robert C. Salinas

MCCAMEY - Robert C. Salinas, 30, an electrician, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1997, after an electrical accident near McCamey.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCamey with Father Barry McClean officiating. Burial will be at the Resthaven cemetery in McCamey with the Rev. Amauri Rodriguez officiating. Funeral arrangements by the Richard W. Box Funeral Home.

He was born in Brownfield and was a resident of McCamey since 1980. He graduated from McCamey High School in 1986.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Monica A. Salinas of McCamey; Daughter, Erianna Salinas of McCamey; Sons, Cody Salinas, Robert Salinas and Tristian Salinas, all of McCamey; Parents, Amelia 'Millie' Salinas of McCamey and Tommy C.
