BELTON — Joyce Utsler, 87, of Salado, a homemaker, died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at Temple Health Care Center in Temple.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Skip Blancett officiating. Burial will be at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
Arrangements by Heartfield Funeral Home.
She was born in Herman, Minn. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Son, William Neil Utsler of Odessa; daughter, Marie Joyce Utsler Bolding of Salado; brothers, Clifford Hanson and Neil Hanson, both of Herman, Minn.; sister, Glenice Giese of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Velma Taylor, 82, of Odessa, died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at Avalon Place Nursing Home.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Armando Armendarez
PECOS — Armando “Mando” Armendarez, 41, of Pecos, a roustabout, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at his home in Pecos.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home of Pecos.
He was born in Pecos and was a lifetime resident. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Diana Lara Armendarez of Pecos; stepfather, Abel “Wero” Leos Jr., of Dallas; daughters, Elva Armendarez of Midland, Amanda Armendarez of Pecos and Alessandra Armendarez of Pecos; brothers Arturo Leos of Dallas, and Alvaro Leos Sr., of Dallas; sister, Rosemary A. Urias of Pecos and three grandchildren.

Lillian Bell
ODESSA — Lillian C. Bell, 66, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at her home.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Childress. She lived in Odessa for 54 years.
SURVIVORS: Son, Tony Ross Bell of Odessa and one grandchild.

PECOS — Helen Hildreth, 76, of Pecos, a retired federal employee, died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Greer Willis officiating. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery.
She was born in Center. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Edith Joyce Thomas of Midland; brothers, Charles Titus and James Titus, both of Pecos; sisters, Elizabeth Schmidt of Pecos and Frances McCasland of Midland; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

ANDREWS — William “Bill” Keck, 64, of Andrews, a retired oilfield worker, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Andrews West cemetery with Bob Dupont officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Sanford. He lived in Andrews for 25 years.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Shirley Keck of Andrews; sons, Billy Keck of California, Greg L. New of Andrews, and Danny Keck of Andrews; brother, Ron Keck of Oklahoma; sisters, Jean Osborne of Midland and Nita Ellis of Duncan, Okla.; and three grandchildren.

HOBBS, N.M. — Cindy “Sissy” Morris, 42, of Hobbs, N.M., a warehouse supervisor, died Friday, July 21, 2000, in Hobbs.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with Tracy Roby officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Home, Inc.
She was born in Hobbs. She worked as a teacher’s aid for many years. She was named as KPER’s hardest working woman of the week twice. She loved crafting, computers and children. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Florence Snow of Hobbs, N.M.; father, Ray King of Odessa; sons, Michael James Morris and Ray Bryce Morris, both of Hobbs, N.M.; brothers, Rodger Cunningham of Port Charlotte, Fla., Howard King of Lubbock and James King of Odessa; and sister, Connie Powell of Hobbs, N.M.

WOODROW — Evelyn Posey, 83, of Odessa died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

She was born in Davenport, Fla. She lived in Sanderson for 10 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
