ABILENE — James Mayfield, 74, of Abilene died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, in Abilene.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at North’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. P.B. Middlebrook officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Park cemetery. Arrangements by North’s Funeral Home.
He was reared in Brownfield and was a veteran of the Navy.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Winona Mayfield of Abilene; daughter, Patricia Rehmert of Odessa; sons, Larry Mayfield of Hobbs, N.M., Tommy Mayfield of Abilene; brother, Marvin Mayfield of Odessa; sister, Virginia Kyle of Arlington; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Marriza Palares
DENVER — Marriza Palares, an infant, of Denver, Colo. died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Denver Health Medical Center Hospital.
Rosary will be said 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Martinez Funeral Home of Pecos. Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Greenwood cemetery.
SURVIVORS: Father, Jose Palares of Denver, Colo.; mother, Diana Palares of Pecos; sister, Kindra Rodriguez of Pecos; grandparents, Dona-ciana Palares of Chih Chih, Mexico.

Louise Moorhead
ODESSA — Louise Moorhead, 71, of Odessa died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at her residence.
Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Ruby Kemper
ODESSA — Ruby Kemper, 84, of Midland died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Tom Paris officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Kress. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Allen Kemper of Amarillo and Joe Kemper of Midland; sister, Opal Strother of Red Oak; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Basilia Ramirez
ANDREWS — Basilia S. Ramirez, 71, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Primera Iglesia Bautista with the Rev. Benny Ramirez officiating. Burial will be at Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Aspermont and moved to Andrews in 1989 from Afton. She was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista.
SURVIVORS: Sons, David Ramirez of Liberty and Frank Ramirez of Andrews; daughter, Eva Pesina of Spur; sisters, Maria Luna of Shamrock and Mersed Soliz of Sundown; brother, Francisco Soliz of Vernon; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

ODESSA — Sewilla Aikens, 87, of Monahans died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, in Monahans.
Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

IRAAN — William "Bubba" Chambers, 23, of Buford, Wyo., died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, in Ozona.

Sadie Longbotham
SNYDER — Sadie Estelle Longbotham, 82, of Snyder, a retired bookkeeper, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Manor Park in Midland after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Marty Akins officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
She was born in Fluvanna. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Betty Richardson of Dunn and Connie Williamson of Odessa; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Willie Watson
SEMINOLE — Willie Jewel Watson, 91, of Seminole, a homemaker, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at Seminole Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie Poe officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County South cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Oplin and had been a resident of Gaines County since 1984. She was Baptist.

Joe Beaty
EASTLAND — Joe Glenn Beaty, 60, of Eastland, a retired pilot, died Thursday, March 2, 2000, at Eastland Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Wright officiating. Burial will be at Eastland City cemetery. Arrangements by Edwards Funeral Home.
He was born in Boxelder. He was an Army veteran. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Mary Beaty of Eastland; son, Kelly Beaty of Kerrville; mother, Ruby Beaty of Boxelder; brother, John Beaty of Royee City; sister, Pat Rotan of Garland; and two grandchildren.

Nettie Edwards

He was born in Anson and moved to Andrews in 1962. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Goldie F. Finley of Andrews; sons, Orville Dewain Finley of Anson, Glen Finley of Andrews, Tom Finley of Midland and Mickey Finley of Arlington; sister, Joan Cox of Monahans; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.
