ODESSA — J.C. Williams, 84, of Odessa died Monday, May 8, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2000, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Kidd officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
He was born Aug. 16, 1915, in Sweetwater. He married
Rubye Young Dec. 12, 1934, in Sweetwater.
Mr. Williams moved to Odessa in 1959. He was a retired salesman for Galbarith Steel and Supply Co. and he also worked at Busby’s Bowling Lanes from 1979 to 1986. He was a member of Eisenhower Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rubye Williams; sisters, Wanda Cleckler and Faye Suggs; and great-grandson, T.J. Davidson.
Survivors include his daughters, Cheryl Wilson and her husband, Beau, and Barbara Watt and her husband, Jack, all of Odessa; son, John Williams and his wife, Jean, of Lubbock; brother, Margel Williams of Victoria; sister, Hortense Cleckler of Roscoe; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Harper, Ron Turner, Glenn Kindle, Roy Morris, Roger Searcy and Fred Haney.

Alvin J. Squire
ODESSA — Services for Alvin J. Squire, 78, of Odessa are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday at Eisenhower Church of Christ, 21st Street and Eisenhower Avenue, with Eddie Parrish and Burt Groves officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Mr. Squire passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2000. He was born March 10, 1922, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Griffin Squire; his son, Robert Nelson "Bobby" Squire and his wife, Nancy, of Houston; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of dear, loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Squire was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Williams Squire (mother of Bobby) in 1949; second wife, Faye McCown Squire in 1994; his parents, William and Jean Squire; one brother, Russel Squire; and two sisters, Virginia and Lois Squire.
Mr. Squire was a member of the Eisenhower Church of Christ, serving through the years as an elder, deacon, teacher and song leader. He was also a member of the Board of Directors for Odessa Christian School for 18 years. He has been a resident of Odessa since 1947, and was employed by the Ector County Independent School District as a teacher, vice-principal and principal for 35 years until his retirement in 1982.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Odessa Christian School.

Christopher Eaton
ODESSA — Christopher Eaton, 71, of Odessa died Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bobby Phillips officiating.
He was born Sept. 2, 1928, in Henryetta, Okla. He married
Rita Riddle Feb. 21, 1957, in Clovis, N.M.
Mr. Eaton had lived in Odessa for 40 years. He had been a salesman and store manager for Sooner Pipe and Supply. He was a member of Vine Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Eaton of Odessa; son, Bobby Don Eaton of Austin; daughters, Debbie Crawford of Brandon, Fla., and Carrie Smith of Copperas Cove; brother, Bill Eaton of Odessa; sister, Joyce Johnson of Tahlequah, Okla.; four grandchildren, Misty and Amy of Brandon, Fla., and Ashley and Whitney of Florence; and four great-grandchildren, Christopher, Aaron, Kera and Emory, all of Brandon, Fla.

Johnnie "John" C. Roberts
GARDENDALE — John C. Roberts died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.
He was born Oct. 20, 1937, in Lordsburg, N.M.
Memorial Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Temple Baptist Church in Odessa.
John grew up in Hobbs, N.M., and moved to this area in 1975. He worked as a mechanic until 1984 when he purchased hot-shot trucks he leased to McClatchy Bros. Trucking. He quit driving trucks in November 1990 because of a disability. He was later diagnosed as having Parkinson’s disease and sold all his trucks in 1994. He enjoyed having his wife read out loud to him.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine "Jo" Roberts; daughter, Cheryl Leigh Malicoat and her husband, Rusty; sons, Matthew Kelvin Martindale of Media, Pa., Curtis Wayne Martindale of Odessa and wife Katherine, John Vernon Roberts of Gardendale.
Jenna (Jay) Aley Wilson
ODESSA — Jenna (Jay) Aley Wilson, 75, of Odessa died Monday, March 8, 1999, in Odessa. She was born Sept. 15, 1923, in Norton. She moved to Odessa from San Angelo in 1955 and was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and member of the Northside Senior Citizens Center who enjoyed dancing and loved to travel.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Aley in 1976; and married
OdeIl Wilson Nov. 22, 1978, in Odessa.
Survivors include her husband, OdeIl Wilson of Odessa; son, Danny Aley of Odessa; daughters, Sandra Powell of Plano and Lesa Benton of Midland; grandchildren, Janet, Julie, and Jennifer Shreiner and Rachel and Daniel Benton. She is also survived by sisters; Thelma Overman of Levelland, Katherine Patterson of Stephenville and Virginia Tomlin of Galveston; stepdaughter, Nanette Idell of McCamey; and stepson, Warren Wilson of Midland.
Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Kevin Strempke officiating.

Anita S. Hillger
ODESSA — Anita S. Hillger, 80, of Odessa died Monday, March 8, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born April 3, 1918 in Andrews to Edward and Annette Shields. She was a 1935 graduate of Odessa High School and Methodist. She married
George Hillger, June 3, 1954, in Lovington, N.M.
Her son, Bobby Webster, preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1956.
Survivors include her husband, George Hillger of Odessa; and stepson, George Hillger III.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Bob Todd officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
Zelma Ruth Tellez
ODESSA — Services for Zelma Ruth Tellez, 65, of Odessa, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Jim Ray Brown officiating.
Mrs. Tellez died Monday, March 8, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Jan. 31, 1934, in Bronte. She married
Abel Tellez in 1981 in Odessa.
Mrs. Tellez was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Abel Tellez of Odessa; sons, David Young of Nacogdoches and Robert Young of Odessa; daughter, Debra Muniz of Odessa; four sisters; two brothers; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Ray Greebon
HOBBS, N.M. Ray Greebon, 72, of Hobbs, N.M., a retired pumper for Texaco Oil Co., died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, at Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Gavin Vaughn and Gene Whitehead officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
He was born in Bowie and had been a lifelong resident of Hobbs. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Glenda Greebon of Hobbs; son, L. Ray Greebon of Misawa, Japan; daughter, Bonnie Brannan of Odessa; brother, Roy Greebon of Hobbs; sister, Evalee McDonald of Hobbs; and five grandchildren.
