FORT STOCKTON - Luis L. Gonzales, 74, a heavy equipment driver, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997, at his residence.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at St. Agnes Catholic Church and Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Charles Geller officiating. Burial will be at the St. Agnes cemetery. Arrangements made by the Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 25, 1923, in Terlingua and had lived in Fort Stockton since 1973.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Petra V. Gonzales of Fort Stockton; daughters, Berta G. Ortega of Fort Stockton and Maria Quintela of Fort Stockton; sister, Nieves G. Cabello of Fort Stockton; brother, Erminio Gonzales of Fort Stockton; six grandchildren, one great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Alvin Chambers
SNYDER - Alvin Lloyd Chambers, 83, a retired railroad section foreman, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997, at Snyder Oaks.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Snyder cemetery with the Rev. Howard Jernigan officiating. Arrangements made by Bell-Cybert-Seale Funeral Home.
He was born June 12, 1914, in Corvell County and had lived in Snyder since 1962. He was a Baptist. Leonard McFarland
ODESSA - Leonard McFarland, 71, of Crane died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 1997, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

MONAHANS - Jessie Jewel Harvick, 85, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997, at Ward Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 1, 1912, in Marble Falls and was a Baptist.

ODESSA - Toby Miller, 92, a self-employed laborer, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Riesel and had been a resident of Midland for 50 years.

MONAHANS - Sebastian R. Terrazas, 74, a retired highway and transportation worker, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 20, 1923, in Marathon and came to Monahans 32 years ago from Marathon.

Melva Anderson
LUBBOCK - Melva 'Dean' Anderson, 60, cafeteria mangager at Marcy Elementary School, of Big Spring died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997, in a Lubbock hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Myers and Smith Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Horace Yanez officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Memorial Park.
She was born in Big Spring, and lived there most of her life. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.

MIDLAND - Mark S. Lynch, 27, a correctional officer with the Federal Correctional Institute in Big Spring, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997, in Anthony, Fla., after being struck by a car.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Midland. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery in Midland County. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Little Rock, Ark., and was a resident of Greenwood. He worked for the Federal Correctional Facility in Big Spring.

JAL, N.M. - Billy C. Ball, 70, plant superintendent for El Paso Natural Gas, died Monday Sept. 15, 1997, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Gordon and was a resident of Jal for 10 years. He was a Methodist.

He was lifetime resident of Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua, Mexico.

BIG SPRING - Lola 'Honey' Knowles, 69, a retired advertising agent, died Monday, Sept. 15, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Big Spring with the Revs. James Liggett and Michael Jasper officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements by Myers & Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
She was born in Big Spring and was a resident of Big Spring before moving to Odessa. She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
