MONAHANS — Susan Carol Hall, 48, of Monahans, a cook, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Gordon Cox officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Vancouver, Wash. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Larry Hall of Kermit, John Hall, Robert Hall, Donny Hall, Mark Hall and William Hall, all of Monahans; daughters, Bonnie Clark, Cynthia Hall and Kathy Hall, all of Monahans; brother, Dan Stodghill of Irving; sisters, Pat Hall of Huntington Beach, Calif., Betty Crane of Lewisville and Bonnie Cole of Trabuco Canyon, Calif.; grandmother, Thelma McNair of Mena, Ark.; and 10 grandchildren.

Clifford Horn

LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Clifford D. Horn, 75, of Las Cruces, N.M., a retired machinist, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, in Las Cruces.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. David Vistine officiating. Arrangements by Blessing Funeral Home.

He was born in Parsons, Kan., and had been a resident of Kermit. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Norma Lee Horn of Las Cruces; sons, Clifford Reginald Horn of Las Cruces and Kevin Horn of Cold Springs; daughter, Laura Lee Tate of Fort Worth; brothers, Maurice Horn and Hubert Horn, both of Watertown, Tenn.; sister, Frances Wilson of Parsons; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Nila Luce

FORT STOCKTON — Nila M. Luce, 79, of San Angelo, a retired teacher, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, in San Angelo.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A.D. Jackson officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

She was born in Lohn and had been a resident of San Angelo since 1978. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Buddy Luce of San Angelo and Bubba Luce of Fort Stockton; sisters, Juanita Allen of San Angelo, Nell Hutton of Sewickley, Penn., and Billie Jo Cowan of Freemont, Calif.; brother, Bob Lindsey of El Paso; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Anabel Matta

PECOS — Anabel Matta, 37, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Catherine Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Alcuino officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Pecos and had been a lifelong resident. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Mother, Lydia Matta of Pecos; brother, Armando Matta of Abilene; sisters, Sylvia Carrasco of Pecos and Rachel Matta of Carlsbad, N.M.; and grandparents, Jose Tercero of Pecos and Santiago Matta of Odessa.

Jose Medrano

MIDLAND — Jose Manuel Medrano, 19, of Midland, a welder at TomCat USA Inc., died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Ray Wilhelm officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Reyes-Garcia Chapel. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery. Arrangements by Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home.

He was born in Delicias, Mexico, and had been a longtime resident of Midland. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Jasmine Medrano of Midland; parents, Hector and Martha Medrano of Midland; and grandparents, Juventina Carmona of Midland, Ernesto Loya and Catalina Lozano, both of Meoqui, Mexico.

Carmen Nunez

MARFA — Carmen Mediano Nunez, 85, of Marfa, a homemaker, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, in Alpine.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Merced cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.

She was born in Ruidosa and had been a resident of Marfa since 1940. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Herminia N. Salcido of Fort Davis and Estella N. Quintela of Fort Stockton; son, Antonio Nunez Jr. of Alpine; brothers, Jose Mediano and Celedonio Mediano, both of Marfa; sisters, Lupe Nunez and Consuelo Parras, both of Marfa; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Julia Plumbley

MARFA — Julia Marlowe Ellison Plumbley, 95, of Marfa, a retired organist, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at Big Bend Memorial Hospital in Alpine.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Duncan Parish officiating. Burial will be at Marfa cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.

She was born in Marfa.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Rosemary Cox of Marfa; son, Jim Plumbley of Houston; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Bernice Prichard

DENVER CITY — Bernice Leona Prichard, 100, of Denver City, a homemaker, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Canterbury Villa Nursing Home in Denver City.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Denver City Memorial Park with the Rev. Jim Auld officiating. Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral Home.

She was born in Rockford, Ohio.

SURVIVORS: Son, Jack Prichard of Alto, N.M.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Robert Baty

JAL, N.M. — Robert E. Baty, 75, of Jal, N.M., a retired employee of El Paso Natural Gas Co., died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, in Albuquerque, N.M.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Jal United Methodist Church with the Rev. Patti Butts officiating. Burial will be at the Jal cemetery. Arrangements by Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors.

He was born in Gilliand. He was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Shirley Baty of Albuquerque; son, Jerry Michael Baty of Denham Springs, La.; stepsons, Eugene Eddy and Robert Eddy, both of Albuquerque; daughter, Karen Gayle Harper of Jal; brother, L.B. Baty of San Angelo; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

DALLAS — Susan Jane Larsson-Matthews, 45, of Mesquite, an employee of Ron Morris and Associates, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jann Aldredge-Clanton officiating. Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home.

She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and had been a resident of Midland.
