DALLAS — Elva Crumley Marble, 94, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Restland Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Restland cemetery. Arrangements by Restland Funeral Home.

She was born in Festus, Mo. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Dorothy Crumley Willison of Odessa; son, Jimmy W. Crumley of Quitman; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Madge Ragsdale

AZTEC, N.M. — Madge Ragsdale, 84, of Aztec, N.M., a homemaker, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, at her residence.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, at Memory Gardens with the Rev. Tura Hays officiating. Arrangements by Cope Memorial Chapel.

She was born in Western, Neb., and had been a resident of Odessa for 50 years before moving to Aztec.

SURVIVORS: Son, Steven Ragsdale of Aztec; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

I.O. Smith

IRAAN — I.O. Smith, 81, of Iraan, a retired employee of Marathon Oil Co., died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at McCamey Hospital in McCamey.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Wright officiating. Burial will be at Rest Land cemetery. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Home.

He was born in Trickham. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Jerry Smith of Odessa; sister, Cleta Gorden of San Antonio; brother, Howard Smith of Abilene; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Stella Wallace

SPUR — Stella Lorene Wallace, 92, of Spur, a homemaker, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Spur Memorial cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Henderson officiating. Arrangements by Campbell Funeral Home.

She was born in Big Spring. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Emmett Wallace of Odessa; one brother; two sisters; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Betty H. Donaldson

ODESSA — Betty H. Donaldson, 75, of Odessa died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at Deerings Nursing Home.

Arrangements are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

DALLAS — Susan Jane Larsson Matthews, 45, of Mesquite died Friday, Sept. 15 2000, at Baylor Medical Center.

ANDREWS — Morris Sullens, 66, of Andrews died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at Permian General Hospital.

Connie Abney

ANDREWS — Connie Dale Abney, 87, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, at the Andrews Healthcare Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at McKinney Acres Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Short officiating. Burial will be at the Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Froglevel, Ark. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sons, James Abney of Odessa, Roy Wayne Abney of Vivian, La., and Franklin Glenn Abney of Andrews; daughters, Mary Lawrence of Vivian, Wanda Ruth Williams, Yvone Simmons, Cherry Abney and Linda Sue Bagley, all of Andrews, Alene Duley of Paris, Texas, and Marjie Ann Abney of Big Rapids, Mich.; sister, Ellen McDonald of Midland; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Laurencia Chavez

KERMIT — Laurencia "Ruena" Chavez, 81, of Wink, a homemaker, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, at her residence.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at the Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.

She was born in Marfa and had been a resident of Wink for 56 years. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Son, Jesse Chavez of Lubbock; daughters, Ramona Hernandez of Wink, Ermalinda Chavez of Pecos and Gloria Gantz of Odessa; sister, Maria Montez of Stanton; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

William Reynolds

TULSA, Okla. — William "Bill" Wilkens Reynolds, 75, of Tulsa, Okla., a retired sales-man, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, in Muskogee, Okla.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Oliver-Whisenhunt Chapel with Dr. Darryl DeBorde officiating. Burial will be at Fort Gibson National cemetery in Fort Gibson, Okla. Arrangements by Oliver-Whisenhunt Funeral Services.

He was born in Athens, Ala., and had been a resident of Odessa. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: Leora Reynolds, mother of his daughters, of Tulsa; daughters, Judith Tucker of Tyler, Pamela Liton of College Station and Tenna Whitsel of Tulsa; sister, Olive Black of Ocala, Fla.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

J.J. Robertson

CISCO — J.J. Robertson, 77, of Odessa, a retired truck driver, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Oakwood cemetery with the Rev. Joe Philpott officiating. Arrangements by Kimbrough Funeral Home.

He was born in Tucumcari, N.M. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

SURVIVOR: Sister, Jeffie J. Thomas of Jackson, Miss.

Margaret Whittenburg

BEAUMONT — Margaret Owens Whittenburg, 84, of Beaumont, a retired registered nurse, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at Memorial Hermann Baptist-Beaumont Hospital.

Services were at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at Broussard’s Mortuary with Dr. James Killen officiating. Burial was at Magnolia cemetery. Arrangements by Broussard’s Mortuary.

She was born in Knoxville, Tenn., and had been a resident of Odessa before moving to Beaumont. She was an Army veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: Son, Jo Ben Whittenburg III of Beaumont; sisters, Dorothy Cooley, Ruth McMillan and Helen Zachary, all of Knoxville; brothers, Ken-drick Owens and Kenneth Owens, both of Knoxville; and two grandchildren.
