Mary Bobo

SEMINOLE — Mary Ellen Bobo, 68, of Seminole, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the West Side Church of Christ with David Williams and James T. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Gaines County cemetery. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

She was born in Rainier, Ore., and had been a resident of Seminole since 1943. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Juhree Lehmberg of Mason, Dee Ann Churchwell of Plainview and Carrie Ford of Lubbock; brother, Fred Erwin of Seminole; sister, Charlotte Wright of Atkins, Ark.; and seven grandchildren.

Mary Bryan

ALPINE — Mary Bryan, 65, of Alpine, a retired teacher, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, in Dallas.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Elm Grove cemetery with the Rev. Judith Burgess officiating. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.

She was born in Galesburg, Ill., and had been a resident of Alpine since 1985.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Linda Keller of Forney; son, Michael Bryan of San Angelo; and a grandson.

Lee Davidson

ODESSA — Lee Estal Davidson, 83, of Odessa, a retired truck driver, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Warren Canady officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Red Star, Ark., and had been a resident of Odessa since 1960.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Glen Ray Pace of Petroleum, Lonnie Charles Pace of El Paso, David Lee Davidson of Odessa and GW Davidson of Gardendale; daughter, Mary Eilene Field of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Jewell Jolly

LAJITAS — Jewell Marie Jolly, 69, of Lajitas, a retired nurse, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at her residence.

Memorial services will be at noon Saturday at the Lajitas Mission. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.

She was born in Oklahoma City and had been a resident of Lajitas for six years.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Joanna Lynn Trudnak of Marshall and Leahana Kim Steed of San Fidel, N.M.; son, Darryl Mark Jolly of Dayton, N.J.; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Malcolm Thurman

PORTALES, N.M. — Malcolm Thurman, 77, of Portales, N.M., a retired truck driver, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M.

Services will be at 1 p.m. MDT today at Wheeler Mortuary Chapel with Scott P. Reeves officiating. Burial will be at the Portales cemetery. Arrangements by Wheeler Mortuary.

He was born in Ridgeway. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Mike Thurman of Las Cruces, N.M., and Alford Thurman of Odessa; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Connie Abney

ANDREWS — Connie Dell Abney, 87, of Andrews, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, in Andrews.

Arrangements are pending with McNett Funeral Home.

Ella Butler

ODESSA — Ella Mae Butler, 90, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at Seabury Nursing Center.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jerry Thorpe officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Pilot Grove. She was Baptist.

Robert Calderon

CRANE — Robert "Bobby" Calderon, 28, of Odessa, a city of Odessa employee, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, in Odessa.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

He was born in Odessa and had been a resident of Crane. He was a Jehovah’s Witness.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Edna Calderon of Odessa; sons, Robert Corey Calderon and Ethan Kobey Calderon, both of Odessa; parents, Jose and Martha Calderon of Crane; brother, Joe Calderon of Odessa; and sister, Dora Heilda Rodriguez of Crane.

Dru Carruth

ANDREWS — Dru Carruth, 63, of Andrews, co-owner of Chocks Well Service Co., died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at her residence.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Means Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eddie Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at the Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Alpine. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Chock Carruth of Andrews; son, Chris Carruth of Andrews; daughter, Paula Sommers of Andrews; and five grandchildren.

Ruth Ely

JAL, N.M. — Ruth R. Ely, 75, of Jal, a homemaker, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael May officiating. Burial will be at Cooper cemetery. Arrangements by Calvary Funeral Home.

A former resident of Wink, she was born in Little Rock, Ark., and had been a resident of Jal since 1942. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Mike Ely and Steve Ely, both of Jal; and five grandchildren.

J.D. Thomas

ODESSA — J.D. "John" Thomas Jr., 62, of Odessa, a technical operator for Texaco Inc., died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, in Odessa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. Lon H. Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Calvert and had been a resident of Odessa since 1958. He was Baptist.
