Jean Hudson Page
Jean Hudson Page, 75, of Odessa joined her savior, Jesus Christ on July 15, 2000. Jean was born to Arch and Emma Elizabeth Yates in Ovalo. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J. D. Hudson in 1974, their infant daughter, Cleda Pauline in 1942, and her late husband, Marvin L. Page in 1994.
She is survived by her children, Linda Nash of Odessa, Michael Scott Hudson and his wife, Evie, of Lewisville, and Rick Page of San Antonio. She also leaves her granddaughters, Judy Hudson of Odessa and Yeni Hudson of Lewisville; great-granddaughter, Page Holley of Odessa; nephew Kent Yates of Champaign, Ill; nieces Janelle and Diana Yates of New York City, and faithful dog, Sugar, of the family home.
Jean also was the sister of the late Wayland Yates of San Angelo.
Jean moved to Odessa in 1955 and was a bookkeeping supervisor for Sears for 23 years. Her large circle of friends included, among others, her loving neighbors, her fellow bowlers, domino players and church members.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2000, at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Frank Stone
ODESSA — Frank Alvin Stone, 65, of Odessa, died Tuesday, July 11, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 27, 1935, in Vernon and lived in Odessa since 1938.
He attended Odessa schools and graduated from Odessa High School in 1954. Al received an associate science degree from Odessa College in 1956. He received a master’s degree from North Texas University in 1960 and obtained 30 hours toward a doctorate degree.
On July 10, 1965, he married
Hazel Adams.
He was a teacher and coach in Odessa for 10 years and was a principal in McCamey from 1970 until he retired in 1992.
Al was also a painter, an accomplished wood worker and an avid golfer. Al coached Odessa Little League teams for many years.
Al Stone was a member of the First Church of God where he was on the board of trustees. He was head usher and was in charge of communion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Wretha Stone, and his sister, Rosa Lee Riley.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel of Odessa; son, Jeff, daughter-in-law, Kelly, and grandson, Hunter Stone, all of Odessa; daughter, Amy, son-in-law, Jason Ching, and grandsons, Steven and David Ching, all of Fort Worth; twin brother, Cal Stone of La Porte; sister, Glenna Welborn of Waskom; brother-in-law, Cleo Riley of Odessa; and several nieces and nephews,
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2000, at First Church of God with Dr. Martin Kehler and Pastor Paul Jones in charge. Joe Neill will deliver the eulogy. Frank Wilson Funeral Home will be in charge and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Church of God building fund or Community Hospice of Odessa.

Delia Gonzales
ODESSA — Maria Delia Valenzuela Gonzales, 69, of Odessa, died Tuesday, July 11, 2000, after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2000, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Frank Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Delia was born Nov. 22, 1930, in Fort Stockton, to Monico Lujan Valenzuela and Petra Hernandez Valenzuela. She married
Antonio Minjarez Gonzales on Jan. 12, 1947, in Fort Stockton and moved to Odessa in 1950.
Delia Gonzales was a retired Ector County Independent School District food-service manager for 20 years. She received numerous awards for her accomplishments as a food-service manager and her dedication for food nutrition of elementary children. She also was an instructor at Odessa College. Delia was a member and a founder of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and served as president of the Altar Society. She also was president of the Parish Council, the Diocese Council and a member of the Mexican American Student Association.
Survivors include her husband, Antonio Minjarez Gonzales of Odessa; sons, Antonio V. Gonzales of Kennedale and Raymond V. Gonzales of Odessa; daughters, Linda Ann Gunn of Odessa, Betsy Tenneson of Clyde, Patsy Allen of Abilene, Barbara Kay Sedillos of Andrews and Monica Charlene Perez of Odessa; sister, Henrietta Gonzales of Odessa; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Campbell Allen Smith
ODESSA — Campbell Allen Smith, 82, of Odessa died peacefully in his sleep at 6:17 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2000, in Medical Center Hospital.
He was born Aug. 21, 1917, in Evening Shade, Ark., to Rufus Allen and Lula E. Smith.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2000, at Crescent Park Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Dickerson officiating. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Smith moved to Odessa in 1958. He was employed by Shell Pipeline for 20 years. He was a member of Crescent Park Baptist Church, and was a 50 year Mason, Scottish Rite. Smitty was an avid deer hunter and loved the outdoors. Opal and he enjoyed traveling as members of the WBCCI Airstream Club. Smitty was known for his sense of humor and delighted his children and grandchildren with his unique jokes.
Opal Mae, a loving and devoted wife of 62 years, survives him. He also leaves one son, Allen Howell Smith, and Allen’s wife, Paula, of Sapulpa, Okla. Three daughters include, Sue Scott and her husband, Nelson, of Keller, Cheryl Gill, whose husband is Bob, of Springfield, Kan., Bonnie Bell and her husband Greg, of Castle Rock, Colo.
His 10 grandchildren are Sandra Hansen of Huntington Beach, Calif., Sharon Reynolds and her husband, Scott, of Flagstaff, Ariz., Staci Reynolds and husband, Jeff, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Rachel Ann Gillespie and her husband, Jim, of Arcadia, Okla., Leah Sue Gajan, married
to Kevin, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Kristin Lasater and her husband, Brent, of Broken Arrow, Robert Allen Gill of Spring Hill, Kan., Lindsay Sue Gill of Fort Collins, Colo., Brian Campbell Bell of Castle Rock, Colo., Harrison Truman Bell of Castle Rock.
Smitty was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Jeremy, Jackson and Joseph Reynolds, Jacob and Regan Gillespie, Taylor and Conner Gajan, John Colton Lasater, Cole Nelson and Trey Reynolds, Madeline and Mattie Hansen.
The one surviving sister is FIoy Johnson of Memphis, Tenn., and he leaves several nieces and nephews as well. His beloved brother-in-law is Edwin Howell, whose wife is Lynn of Mabank.
He leaves behind a host of friends and hunting partners.
Campbell Smith, "Smitty," was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a good, faithful friend. He will be greatly missed by all.

Ralph Clark Russell
KINGSVILLE — Ralph Clark Russell, 93, a resident of Kingsville passed away Sunday, June 4, 2000, in Corpus Christi.
He was born July 5, 1906, in Comanche, to Lyman Russell and Jessie Clark Russell. Mr. Russell had been employed for 28 years at Texas A&M University as an accounting professor until his retirement in 1975. He was a certified public accountant practicing in the states of Mississippi, Alabama and Texas.
Mr. Russell is survived by sons, Thomas W. Russell and wife, Jeanne, of Odessa, Texas and Dwight C. Russell and wife, Margaret, of Austin; sisters, Mary John Lynch of Rockport, Virginia Kurzon of Edinburg and Victoria Lowenstein of Corpus Christi; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Jesse Leos officiating. Burial followed in Kingsville at Chamberlain cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Russell Professorship at Texas A&M University at Kingsville or a charity of choice.
Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas, was in charge of arrangements.
Josepha Benavides
ODESSA — Josepha Benavides, 81, of Odessa died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at her daughter’s residence. She was born March 13, 1919, in Sierra Blanca. She married
Ramon Benavides in August 1933 in Midland.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2000, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriquez officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel.
Josepha came to Odessa in 1938 from Midland. She was the previous owner of The Welcome Inn in Odessa. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Mateo Sotelo; and two sisters, Augustina Marmolejo and Erlinda Sotelo.
Survivors include her son, Miguel Benavides of Odessa; daughter, Trinidad Lambardia of Odessa; sisters, Lupe S. Benevides of Odessa, Maria S. Diaz of Amarillo and Pilar Hull of Midland; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
