STANTON — George Rodriguez, 33, of Big Spring, an employee of Sharp Energy Company, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, in Big Spring.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Revs. Arturo Pestin and Ernie Sanchez officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery. Arrangements by Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.

He was born in Stanton.

SURVIVORS: Brothers, Pete Rodriguez Jr. of Stanton and Daniel Rodriguez of Big Spring; and sisters, Toni Rodriguez and Teresa Rodriguez, both of Stanton, and Lupe Aguirre of Granbury.

B.D. Litton

CRANE — B.D. Litton, 73, of Crane died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at his residence.

Arrangements are pending with Justice-Mason Funeral Home.

Eulalia Maldonado

PECOS — Eulalia "Lala" Fuentes Maldonado, 71, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at her residence.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Toyahvale.

SURVIVORS: Brothers, Rosendo Fuentes of Carlsbad, N.M., Pedro Fuentes Jr. of Odessa, Santiago Fuentes and Abundio Fuentes, both of Pecos; and sisters, Rosa Ramirez of Odessa and Maria Chavez of Hobbs, N.M.

Rita Martinez

FORT STOCKTON — Rita Martinez, 69, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Avalon Nursing Home.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Marfa. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Pedro Martinez of Somerset and Manuel Martinez of Odessa; and seven grandchildren.

Thurman McLemore

HUGO, Okla. — Thurman Harold McLemore, 73, of Paris, Texas, a retired employee of Phillips Petroleum Company and Odessa College instructor, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paris.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Edwin D. Bernard officiating. Burial will be at Fort Towson cemetery in Fort Towson, Okla. Arrangements by Miller & Miller Funeral Home.

He was born in Rotan and was a resident of Paris since 1993. He was Presbyterian.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Doris McLemore of Paris; son, Phillip N. McLemore of Dallas; sister, Siddie Stewart of Lubbock; and one stepgrandson.

Virgil Meek

CARLSBAD, N.M. — Virgil L. Meek, 77, of Carlsbad, N.M., retired owner and operator of Bond Ice Company, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park with the Rev. Erwin Van Essen officiating. Arrangements by West Funeral Home.

He was born in Belleville, Ark., and had been a resident of Carlsbad since 1937. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Juanice M. Meek of Carlsbad, N.M.; sons, Lee Meek of Carlsbad, N.M., and Barry Meek of Midland; daughter, Cindy Taylor of Carlsbad, N.M.; mother, Janice D. Meek of Carlsbad, N.M.; sisters, Martha Lipscomb of Brookeville, Md., and Marilyn Meek of New York City; and six grandchildren.

Amalie Long

MONAHANS — Amalie Long, 83, of Monahans, a retired nurse, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at Odessa Regional Hospital.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Fickencher officiating. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Orange Grove and had lived in Monahans since 1950. She was Lutheran.

SURVIVORS: Several nieces and nephews.

Angie Edge

ODESSA — Angie Mae Edge, 85, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, in Gardendale.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Odessa cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Law officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Tipton, Okla., and moved to Odessa in 1943 from Whiteface. She was Protestant.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Bill Edge and Gary Edge, both of Odessa, and Jim Edge of El Paso; daughters, Mary McWilliams of Odessa, Carol Reneau and Linda Moore, both of San Angelo; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

K.C. Edge

ODESSA — K.C. "Jake" Edge, 89, of Odessa, a retired car salesman, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Odessa cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Law officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Hill County and moved to Odessa in 1944 from Whiteface. He was Protestant.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Bill Edge and Gary Edge, both of Odessa, and Jim Edge of El Paso; daughters, Mary McWilliams of Odessa, Carol Reneau and Linda Moore, both of San Angelo; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Arcadia Urquidi

PECOS — Arcadia G. Urquidi, 88, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Pecos Nursing Home.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Santa Rosa cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Balmorhea and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Son, Antonio "Tony" Urquidi of Mount Ida, Ark.; daughters, Anita Urquidi Vasquez of Bedford and Lydia Urquidi Garcia of Las Cruces, N.M.; brother, Ricardo "Callo" Gutierrez of Pecos; sister, Goya Morales of Pecos; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Carol Anderson

SEMINOLE — Carol Jean Anderson, 60, of Seminole, a homemaker, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Seminole with the Rev. Tod Delay officiating. Burial will follow at the Gaines County Memorial cemetery North. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

She was born in Sioux City, Iowa, and had been a resident of Seminole since 1964. She was a member of the Church on the God.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Raymond Anderson of Seminole; daughters, Cheree McGuire and Jamie Rae LeBlanc, both of Seminole; brothers, Clayton Cox of Pittsburg and Carl LeRoy Cox of Alamagordo, N.M.; and six grandchildren.
