KERMIT — Paul R. Carman Jr., 72, of Kermit, a retired plant operator for El Paso Natural Gas, died Monday, July 24, 2000, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. today at Kermit cemetery with the Rev. Tim Duncan officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Liberty, Ky., and had been a resident of Kermit for 20 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Mary Carman of Kermit; daughters, Debby Bailey of Odessa and Nancy Savoie of Jal, N.M.; sister, Maxine Allen of Liberty; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Keesey Kimball
ALPINE — Keesey H. Kimball, 72, of Alpine, a retired rancher and custom gun builder, died Monday, July 24, 2000, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Alpine and was a lifelong resident.

MIDLAND — Braulia Natividad Nollola, 93, of Midland, a homemaker, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at her residence.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Primera Iglesia Bautista. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Primera Iglesia Bautista with the Revs. Ernesto Gil and Axel Chavez officiating. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery. Arrangements by Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home.
She was born in Hot Springs. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Marcelino Brito and Ricardo Nollola Jr., both of Midland, Cecil Nollola of Colton, Calif., Silverio Nollola of Ontario, Calif., and Rudy Nollola of Upland, Calif.; daughters, Sarah Chavarria of Big Spring, Rebecca Acosta of Midland, Jovita Castillo of Houston and Hope Soria of Austin; brother, Demetrio Natividad of Midland; 66 grandchildren; 117 great-grandchildren; 46 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
Jewel Zeigler
ODESSA — Jewel Zeigler, 91, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at her residence.
A private graveside service will be held today at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Comanche County and had been a resident of Odessa since 1935. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Thomas R. Zeigler of Staunton, Va.; sister, Lona Sapp of Odessa; brother, Jim White of Odessa; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

FORT STOCKTON — Jason Randal Munoz, 19, of Sanderson died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at Pecos County Memorial Hospital.

Betty Hart Donaldson
ODESSA — Betty Hart Donaldson was born March 31, 1925, in Ackerly to Hal and Ora Wells Hart. She passed away Sept. 17, 2000, at Deerings Nursing Home. Her parents preceded her in death.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services are under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Betty Hart married
Charles E. Donaldson July 10, 1948, in Odessa. They moved to Colorado for four years before moving to Kent, Texas, where they lived for 38 years before moving back to Odessa in February of 1990.
Betty was a homemaker. She enjoyed collecting antiques, searching for arrowheads and she loved flowers.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Charles E. Donaldson of Odessa; her daughter, Sue Ann Donaldson-Yarbrough, and her husband Tyler of San Leandro, Calif.; her sister, Frances Hart Henderson and her husband Lyle of Shattuck, Okla.; and nephews, Scott and David Henderson.
Margaret M. Head
ROSWELL, N.M. — Margaret M. Head, a resident of Sherwood Place in Odessa, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at South Park cemetery in Roswell, N.M. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
Margaret was born Dec. 1, 1927 in Lakewood, N.M. She married
Rue O. Head in Roswell April 10, 1947. Rue preceded her in death April 19, 1981. She was a longtime resident of Roswell, a retired Southwestern Bell employee, a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers and a member of the First Baptist Church of Odessa.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Head and his wife Boydette of Florence, S.C., and Terry Head and his wife Shelley of Midland; three grandchildren, Zachary Head of Norman, Okla., Paul Head of Arlington and Stacey Head of Austin. She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Home Hospice of Midland, 1802 West Wall, Midland, Texas, 79701.
Wesley Monroe "W.M." Byrd
ODESSA — Wesley Monroe "W.M." Byrd came to the end of his lifes journey Aug. 23, 2000.
Graveside services for Mr. Byrd will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. James Qualls officiating. The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Byrd began his life Sept. 8, 1923, in Jesse, Okla., where he was born to Jeff Byrd and Alma Goodrich. W.M. married
Dorothy Mary Killion. She preceded him in death. From this marriage, came two sons, Curtis Byrd of Tyler and Wayne Byrd of Big Lake. Both survive their father. Four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, from his first marriage, also survive their grandfather.
After his wife of 43 years passed away in 1984, Mr. Byrd married
Ida Jean Scott. Mr. Byrd received Mike Rowe and Andy Rowe as his new sons. W.M. and Ida Jean had celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Byrd was a resident of Odessa since 1952. Many of you will recall him as a skilled carpenter and a master craftsman. Mr. Byrd was employed by J. Gary Whitehead for the past 25 years.
Services are under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
W.C. "Lucky" Landreth
ODESSA — Wylie "Lucky" "Toby" Coleman Landreth, age 81, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, of natural causes. Born March 11, 1919, in Thurber to Emzley Van Landreth and Rosie Bell Chestnut, he spent most his childhood in Knox County on the Bush and Burnett Ranch.
He served four and a half years (March 1941 October 1945) during World War II with the 57th Field Artillery, Battery B, Seventh Infantry Division, final rank Technician Fifth Grade. Island campaigns included Attu in the Aleutian Islands, Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands, Leyte in the Southern Philippines and Okinawa of Ryukyu in Japan. Decorations include Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Good Conduct, American Defense Service Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon (4 Battle Stars) and Philippine Liberation Ribbon (2 Battle Stars). He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
He moved to Odessa in 1948 and served 32 years with the fire department. He also owned and operated ABC Rug and Carpet Cleaning. He became a Christian in 1953 at Trinity Baptist Church where he served as deacon before moving his membership in the early 60s to his current church, Sherwood Baptist.
He was preceded in death by first wife, Laura Regina Morris (married
Jan. 1953, died Nov. 1953); second wife, Gladys Ruth Webb (married
1955, died July 1997); brothers Elmer and Lee both of Rule; and half-sister, Lillie Tucker of Waco.
Survivors include sons, Rodney Landreth and wife Susan of San Antonio and Gary Landreth of Big Spring; brother, Cranford Landreth of Perryton; brothers-in-law, Elmer Lawrence Webb and wife Shirley of Carriere, Miss., Billie Joe Webb of Midland; sisters-in-law, Betty Ruth Landreth of Knox City and Mavis Webb of Midland.
Military graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services are under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Eva V. Tovar
ODESSA — Eva V. Tovar, 50 years of age, passed away on Aug. 24, 2000, at her Odessa residence. She was born March 18, 1950, in Marathon. She was a beautician and a member of the Catholic Church.
Mrs. Tovar is survived by her husband, Marcos Tovar of Odessa; daughters, Amy Tarango and Paz Acosta, both of Odessa; brothers, Jesus Villarreal, Lolo Villarreal, Manuel Villarreal, Jose Villarreal and Adan Villarreal, all of Odessa, and Tony Villarreal of Marathon; sister, Vicky Aguilar of Crane, Elodia Martinez of Odessa, Maria Ellena Mondova and Elida Fierro, both of Alpine; grandchildren, Zackery Noah Tovar, Arissa Eva Acosta, Joey Acosta, Steven Acosta and Alyssa Acosta.
Rosary will be recited today at 7 p.m. at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers are Tony Acosta, Rogelio Tarango, Pete Avila, Simon Tovar, Jessie Acosta and Efrain Rodriguez.
