Maleta F. Rasberry
ODESSA — Maleta F. Rasberry, 82, of Odessa went to be with her Lord and Savior Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2000.
Mrs. Rasberry was born July 26, 1918, in Sylvester. She married
Clyde Rasberry in 1940 in Odessa. He preceded her in death in 1972. She was a longtime member of the Pentecostal Church and a woman of great faith.
She is survived by three brothers, L.C. Hamlin of Wichita Falls, Carl Hamlin of Odessa and Johnny Hamlin of Houston; two sisters, Laura Keith of Odessa and Ruth Smith of Austin; several cousins, including Jim Hamlin of Odessa, Don Hamlin of Marina, Calif., Melissa Smith of Longview and Helen Scott of Ocean Shore, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at Odessa cemetery with the Rev. Dick Brown officiating.
Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

BAIRD — Eva Brandon, 102, of Baird, a homemaker, died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Parker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Gaumond officiating. Burial will be at the Ross cemetery Annex. Arrangements by Parker Funeral Home.
She was born in Callahan County and had been a resident of Baird for 40 years after moving from Putnam. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Marjorie Evans of Kermit, Leta Mitchell of Tyler and Bobbie Evelyn Jobe of Putnam; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Ruth C. Farris, 80, of Longview, a homemaker, died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First United Pentecostal Church with the Revs. J. T. Pugh, Terry Pugh and A. D. Spears officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Muskogee, Okla. She was Pentecostal.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Carol Ann Wilson of Odessa; sister, Winifred Campbell Rutland of White Oak; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

ODESSA — Erlinda M. Rios, 56, of Odessa, a teacher, died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Eisenhower Church of Christ with Eddie Parish officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
She was born in Big Spring.

COMANCHE — Doyle Norman Shanks, 78, of Comanche, a retired employee of Phillips Petroleum Company, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

He was born in Proctor. He moved from Odessa to Comanche in 1996. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Methodist.

SEMINOLE — Jane Warren, 95, of Seminole, a homemaker, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at Memorial Health Care Center in Seminole.

She was born in Howard County, Ark. She moved from Andrews to Seminole in 1980. She was Baptist.
