Annie Guinn Miller
ODESSA — Annie Guinn Miller passed away Jan. 22, 2001. She was born in Loving County on March 31, 1908, to James Guinn and Beulah Hawkins. She and Claude Miller were married
June 5, 1926, in Young County.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Guinn Hawkins and her mother, Beulah Hawkins. Guinn was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Claude Miller, in 1979, her son, Charles Eugene Miller and her son-in-law, Walter L. Fletcher, husband of daughter, Mickey.
She is survived by three daughters, Anna Miller Connally and her husband David of Midland, Betty Miller Lain and her husband Leland, and Mickey Miller Fletcher, and a son, James F. Miller and his wife Doris, all of Odessa.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Larry D. Lain and wife, Julie, Nancy Lain Campbell and husband, Jon, Marc Miller and wife, Jena, and Phillip H. Miller, all of Odessa, Debra Miller Nix and husband, Don, of Slidell, La., Brian D. Miller and wife, Karen, of Charlotte, N.C., Jan Miller Clark and husband, Gary, of Tulsa, Okla., Lesa Fletcher Wolf and husband Dr. James Wolfe of Lubbock, and Diane Fletcher Burnett and husband John of Odessa. She is also survived by Marcellene Miller, widow of Charles E. Miller, of Odessa, 18 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Guinn was a lifelong Methodist and was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church of Odessa.
A visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, located at 601 N. Alleghaney Ave.
Services for Guinn will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, located at 1601 E. 42nd St., with the Rev. Kevin Strempke officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Lain, Marc Miller, Phil Miller, Brian Miller, Douglas Lain and Travis Lain.
Honorary pallbearers will be Guinn’s great-grandsons.

Hettie Lavelle Sides
ODESSA — A longtime resident of Odessa, Hettie Lavelle Sides died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at the Hospice House in Odessa. She and her family moved to Odessa on March 11, 1938, from Ranger.
Lavelle was the eldest child of James D. and Minnie (Flournoy) Litton. She was born Feb. 10, 1909, in Strawn. She married
William F. Sides on July 8, 1925, in Plainview.
The family will meet with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at First United Pentecostal Church, where she had been a member since 1938. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Lavelle was preceded in death by her husband, William in May 1967. "Bill" worked for many years as an employee of Phillips Petroleum Co. in the gasoline department. Other decedents were her parents and a younger sister, Fern Mace.
Survivors include her children and their families: Jerry and Martha Sides of Midland, Arlin and Wanda Sides of Odessa and Dr. Jerry Brumlow and Rosalie (Sides) Brumlow of Floresville. She had nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Other survivors are her sister, Hazel Phipps of Midland and a brother, J.D. Litton of Waco.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Hospice House Foundation, Inc., 903 N. Houston Ave., Odessa, Texas, 79761.

Donna Lee Sullivan
ODESSA — Donna Lee Sullivan, 60, of Odessa passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village.
She was born Aug. 14, 1940, in McCamey. She had lived in Odessa since 1984. She worked as a floor supervisor for Furr’s Cafeteria for 11 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Temple Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and loving mother.
Survivors are her son, Lynn R. Sullivan of Odessa; daughter, Lisa Segraves of Laurel, Miss.; mother, Vera Mae Barton Hale of Odessa; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Elsie Lewis Williamson
ODESSA — Elsie Lewis Williamson, 86, of Odessa passed away peacefully at her home Monday, Jan. 22, 2001.
She was born June 21, 1914, in Mansfield, La., and came to Odessa in 1946. She was a member of El Minya Court #46. Elsie was an avid antique collector and world traveler. She charmed everyone she met with her honesty, her witticisms and her unpretentious attitude. Elsie was one of a kind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Zettie Lewis, a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Held and Linda Werhane and husband Randy, all of Austin; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved friend and companion of 45 years, Eddie Hutchings.
A special thanks to Delores Hernandes for her unending devotion and boundless energy in caring for Elsie during her illness and special thanks to Home Hospice.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel.

Scottye R. Wright
ODESSA — Scottye R. Wright, 79, passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Born Nov. 24, 1921, in Olden, Scottye was the third of Henry and Frances Roberts’ children. Her siblings, John D. Roberts, Hope McIlroy and Lou Helen Glaze enjoyed lives as rich and loving as Scottye’s. Their closeness sustained them through a fascinating century.
Scottye lived in Odessa for 42 years. She was a member of Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ. She was a charter member of Watercolor Horizons and a member of the Odessa Art Association. She loved gardening, books and art. She was a gracious hostess and a wonderful friend. Many will miss her.
Scottye taught shorthand in the Odessa College Adult Education Program. She was a loan counselor for Educator’s Credit Union. She was a loan officer and assistant branch manager for First Federal Savings and Loan.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jarvis and Jan Wright of San Angelo; son and daughter-in-law, James and Cathy Wright of Coleman County; granddaughters, Carie Wright of Huntsville and Jill Pennick of Marble Falls; and great-granddaughters, Ashley Wright and Bailey Jo Ann Reeve of Marble Falls. Many friends also survive her.
The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Jan. 23, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Beth Songenberg, Floetta Stafford, Gene Foutz, Billie Duncan, Ava (Brownlee) VanBramer, Christie Ray, Suzy Colgin and Billy Jean Brown.
Memorials may be made to Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ.

Lillian M. Franklin
ODESSA — Lillian M. Franklin was born on Oct. 5, 1918, in Henryetta to Morgan Grey Franklin and Rosa Pearl Childress Franklin. She passed away Oct. 6, 2000, at Terrace West Nursing Center in Midland.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 8, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Trout of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Lillian was raised in San Angelo and was a graduate of Lakeview High School. She married
Wilson Franklin on Jan. 28, 1938. He preceded her in death in 1976. She was a 40-year resident of Odessa, working 25 years as a membership secretary for the First United Methodist Church.
Her sister, Luellen Roller, and two brothers, Jim Franklin and Bob Franklin, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Sarah "Sally" Franklin of Midland and Marian Cobb of Austin; four grandchildren, Kathy Farmer, Jeff Votaw and Lynda Lawson, all of Midland, and Jill McCoy of Floresville; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
