HOBBS, N.M. — Melvin "Bud" Hampton, 80, of Hobbs, N.M., a retired employee of El Paso Natural Gas Company, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at his residence.
Services were held Tuesday at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Dean Mathis officiating. Burial was at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
He was born in Comanche and moved to Hobbs from El Paso. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Claudia Bailey Hampton of Hobbs; son, Melvin M. Hampton of Odessa; daughters, Darlene Donalson of San Angelo and Peggy Hammer of Hobbs; brothers, Enos Hampton of Potose and J.D. ODESSA — Billie "Bill" Lee Harden, 89, of Odessa, a retired drilling superintendent for Hamilton Brothers Oil Company, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Roff, Okla.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Viola Harden of Odessa; son, Danny Harden of San Angelo; daughter, Susan Jernigan of Houston; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

KERMIT — Donna Heard, 77, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kermit cemetery with Billy Riley and John Bell officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
She was born in Sedan, Kans., and was a resident of Kermit for 39 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was born in Penon Blanco, Mexico, and had lived in Odessa for four years. She was Catholic.
