Shirley Dumas
PAMPA — Shirley "Billie" Dumas, 73, of Odessa died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at Memory Gardens cemetery with the Rev. John Glover officiating. Arrange-ments are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
She was born Nov. 2, 1927, in White Deer. She had been a resident of Pampa most of her life. She married
J.B. Dumas in 1951. He preceded her in death April 12, 1987. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Chambliss, in 1975.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Margie Dumas of Odessa; daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Jerry Holt of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Josh, Jarod and Abby Dumas, all of Odessa, Natalie Dumas of Lewisville, Lindsey Pankey of Odessa, Kristie Holt of Nashville, Tenn., and Nicole Pankey of Dallas; niece, Kim Charles of Pampa; two great-grandsons, Tanner and Dakota Jennings of Odessa; a brother and three sisters.
Raymond Eugene "Buck" Bible
CLEBURNE — Raymond Eugene "Buck" Bible was born March 25, 1919, in Donley County. He was the son of Cecil and Lydia Abbott Bible. He moved to Canyon in 1929 where he received most of his education. After moving to Odessa in 1939, Buck married
Louise Johnson on April 13, 1941.
Buck served in the Air Force during World War II and was stationed at Midland Air Force Base. He farmed in Tulia from 1948 to 1958 when he returned to Odessa. He retired from Johnson Brothers Oil Co. after 30 years of employment. In 1991, he and Louise moved to Cleburne to be near children and grandchildren.
Buck accepted Christ as his savior at the age of 13. He was an ordained deacon and a member of First Baptist Church. He had worked with youth for many years as well as serving on numerous church committees. Displaying his love for God, his family and church, Buck was known for his sweet smile and his willing attitude to help anyone in need. This love and his uncanny ability to fix almost anything that was broken made him a treasured husband, father, brother and neighbor.
Three sisters preceded him in death: Faye Bell, Zudie Edwards and Bonnie Dowdy.
Buck is survived by his wife, Louise; two daughters and their husbands, Linda and Leon Harville of Crowley and Kay and Mike White of Cleburne; his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Laurette and Kevin Waller of Bloomfield, N.M., Loren and Leland Harville of Dallas, Amy White of Temple, Abbi White of Arlington and Jacob White of Cleburne; and three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Abby and Jeremy Waller, all of Bloomfield. He has a brother, Horace Bible of Canyon and a sister, Juanita Neal of Smyer.
Buck died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Nov. 8, 2000, at First Baptist Church of Cleburne with Dr. Danny Crosby conducting the memorial service, assisted by Kevin Wauer and nephew David Johnson. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park, in Cleburne.
His nephews served as pallbearers.
The family suggests that memorials be given to First Baptist Church or your favorite charity.

Fernando Carnero
ODESSA — Services for Fernando Carnero, 63, of Odessa are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Rosario Hill officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
Mr. Carnero died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Deerings Nursing Home. He was born March 1, 1937, in Midland. He married
Juanita Carillo
in November of 1982.
He was a self-employed contractor. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Carnero of Odessa; sons, Fernando Carnero Jr., Sammy Carnero and Michael Carnero, all of Midland; stepsons, Fabian Barreraz and Jesse Barreraz, both of Odessa, and Larry Barreraz of Mesquite; daughters, Gloria Carnero, Rosemary Gonzalez, Diana Castillo and Alicia Valdez, all of Midland; stepdaughters, Rosa Barreraz and Eloisa Martin, both of Odessa; brother, Arturo Espinoza of Midland; sisters, Olivia Martinez, Gloria Pena, Adela Juarez, Leonara Tena and Rosa Maria Arizpe, all of Midland, and Yolanda Cradle of Houston; 16 grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

Paz Carrillo
ODESSA — Paz Carrillo, 29, of Houston died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, in Tappan, N.Y.
He was born April 11, 1971, in Odessa. He was a construction worker. He was Catholic.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Blanca Carrillo of Houston; mother, Manuelita Carrillo of Odessa; two sons, Paz Carrillo Jr. and James Paul Carrillo, both of Houston; one daughter, Valerie Carrillo of Houston; two sisters, Nora Carrillo of Odessa and Sulema Carrillo of Houston; and three brothers, Noel Carrillo Jr., Rafael Carrillo and Javier Carrillo, all of Houston.

Laura Michelle Harrell
ODESSA — Services for Laura Michelle Harrell, 24, of Odessa are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at St. James Baptist Church, 300 S. Hancock Ave., with the Rev. James Ellis officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
Ms. Harrell died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1976, in Odessa to R.L. Gilbert Jr. and Sharion Griffin (Thursby). She was a nursing student at Odessa College School of Nursing and was employed as a telemarketer for West Teleservices. She was a 1994 graduate of Permian High School.
Survivors include a daughter, Zabreya LaShay Harrell of Odessa; mother and stepfather, Sharion Griffin (Thursby) and Alfred Ingram of Odessa; father, R.L. Gilbert Jr. of Midland; sister, Shannon Harrell of Midland; grandmother, Gracie Harrell of Odessa; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Wesley Dean Tims
ODESSA — Services for Wesley Dean Tims, 39, of Odessa are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at Rosalie cemetery in Rosalie. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Mr. Tims died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at Valley Medical Center in Vernal, Utah. He was born Nov. 20, 1960, in Rankin. Mr. Tims moved to Odessa in 1962 from Rankin. He was presently working for Cutter Wireline Co. in Vernal.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Tims.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer of Odessa; father and stepmother, Tommy and Patsy Tims of Midland; grandmother, Lois Moses of Kerrville; brother, Barry Tims of Whitney and Brad Tims of Midland; and sisters, Laura Tampke and Jeanie Holloway, both of Houston.

Burnie Ruth Coleman
PARIS, Texas — Burnie Ruth Coleman, 68, of Paris died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at her home.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home scheduled services for 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at the United Pentecostal Church in Paris with the Revs. Robert Myre, Benny Grissom and Johnny Grissom officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 6 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa and chapel services there will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Coleman was born Oct. 28, 1931, in Athens, the daughter of Frank and Maggie Thompson Grissom. She married
Olen W. Coleman on Nov. 12, 1948, at the United Pentecostal Church in Odessa. They resided in Odessa and moved to Big Lake in 1974 where they owned and operated a water well business and farm. They moved to the East Texas area in 1996. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Paris, Prime Time, was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and enjoyed baking and cake decorating.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Paula Jean Smith and husband Glen of Midland, Connie Lynn Lavario and husband Lewis of Big Lake and Bonnie Sue Whitehead of Odessa; one son, Terry DeWayne Coleman and wife Nancy of Gilmer; two brothers, M.O. "Billy" Grissom of Houston and Benny Grissom of Lewisville; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; along with numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.
The pallbearers in Paris will be: Duane Bryson, Sam Coleman, Jim Coleman, Kenneth Millsap, Jerry Grissom and Phillip Hendricks. An honorary pallbearer will be Jim Parsons. The pallbearers in Odessa will be: Sam Coleman, Jim Coleman, Tren Coleman, Bill Smith, Terry O’Steen and Darren Anthony.

Carlos A. Dominguez, Sr.
ODESSA — A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Carlos Dominguez Sr., 65, of Odessa at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Frey as celebrant. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dominguez died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at a local hospital. He was born Sept. 11, 1935, in Imperial. He married
Juanita Sosa Aug. 4, 1955, in Fort Stockton.
Mr. Dominguez had lived in Odessa since 1966 and worked for the Ector County Independent School District for 28 years until he retired in September 1999. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Juanita Dominguez of Midland; sons, Carlos A. Dominguez, Jr., of Birmingham, Ala., and Albert Dominguez of Midland; daughter, Sofie Ann Dominguez of Odessa; seven brothers, Raymond Dominguez of Odessa, Emilio Dominguez of Odessa, Johnny Dominguez of Crane, Nemerio Dominguez of Andrews, Dario Dominguez of Imperial, Mike Dominguez of Imperial and Guillermo Dominguez of Odessa; five sisters, Anita Carrasco of Crane, Manuela Tover of San Angelo, Minnie Granado of Odessa, Mary Rey and Nirma Mayben, both of Mertzon; and five grandchildren.

Cary David Reeves, Sr.
ODESSA — Cary David Reeves, Sr., died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Wimberley Oct. 20, 2000, after a courageous battle against cancer. He was 54.
He was born Jan. 24, 1946, in Pampa and moved to Odessa in 1953. He graduated from Permian High School in 1964 and attended the University of Texas at El Paso. On June 3, 1966, he married
Kay Morton. A former Realtor and homebuilder, he was involved with the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang and the Odessa Board of Realtors. He led a full and fun life in Odessa, including enjoying weekends at his lake house at Oak Creek surrounded by family and many friends.
In 1990, he moved to Austin where he reunited with his wife, Kay Reeves. Cary and Kay routinely hosted Sunday night dinners for family and friends of his children. In 1995, Kay and Cary moved to their home in Wimberley. Cary graduated from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos that year. He and Kay then embarked on a job that he loved, traveling around the state as a candle distributor for Designs in Wax.
Cary’s loves were home, family and friends, grocery shopping, cooking and reading newspapers from around the state and nation.
He is survived and dearly loved by his wife, Kay; his daughter, Kelsi of Alexandria, Va.; his son and daughter in law, Cary David Reeves, Jr., and Patricia Jaramillo of Longmont, Colo.; his parents, Leon and Jean Reeves of Odessa; his sisters and their families, Shana McGill of Odessa and JoAnne York of Montgomery; his grandmother, Jimmy "Mur" Jordan of Pampa; and many wonderful friends and extended family members around the world.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin at 4700 Grover. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.

Mary Sanders
ODESSA — Mary Sanders, 79, of Odessa died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 1:50 p.m Thursday. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Rose Hill cemetery with Brother Larry Tate officiating.
She was born July 26, 1921, in Oklahoma City to Mae Blue and Eli Green, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a Jehovah’s Witness.
Survivors include her son, Dale Hicks of Lynwood, Calif.; sister, Gertrude Farris of Paramount, Calif.; special nephew, Sam Sanders and wife Betty of Roswell, N.M.; special niece, Katherine Hairston and friend Truman Smith of Odessa; and special friend Pete of Odessa.
