Ella Chasteen

PECOS — Ella Evelyn Harrel Chasteen, 76, of Midland, a retired bookkeeper for Pecos Automotive Co., died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at West Park Baptist Church with the Revs. James Sain and J.E. McCormick officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Dallas. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Shirley Mariott of Midland; sisters, Velma Meulengracht of Golden, Colo., and Juanita Jason of Nunan, Ga.; brothers, Jack Harrel of Forsyth, Mo., and Ray Harrel of Surprise, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Randall Gipson

POTEAU, Okla. — Randall Gene Gipson, 45, of Poteau, Okla., a sound engineer, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, in Poteau.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Randy Weaver, Reed Gipson and Dell Glenn and Joe Hanna officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Rankin cemetery in Rankin. Arrangements by Grace Manor Funeral Home.

He was born in Tulsa, Okla., and had been a resident of Rankin. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Vicki Hanna Gipson of Poteau; daughters, Tori Turley of Mary Esther, Fla., and Trista Gipson of Poteau; father, Reed Gipson of Odessa; brothers, Rusty Gipson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dennis Gipson of Winterhaven, Fla.; and sister, Susan Jones of Jenks, Okla.

Joseph Poucher

ODESSA — Joseph Poucher, 73, of Odessa, a retired service technician, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at his residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Frankclay, Mo., and moved to Odessa in 1975 from Cabot, Ark. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Eavlyn Christine Poucher of Odessa; sons, Donald Eugene Poucher, Joseph Edward Poucher and Thomas Allen Poucher, all of Odessa; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Jane Ross

PECOS — Jane Ross, 86, of Pecos, retired district clerk for Reeves County, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at her residence.Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Abbott officiating.

Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Pecos and was a lifelong resident. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Numerous nieces and nephews.

Kathlene Stout

ODESSA — Kathlene Noell Stout, 82, of Odessa, a retired registered nurse, died Monday, March 12, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Sherry Holloman officiating.

Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Addison. She was Presbyterian.

SURVIVORS: Son, Fred Arthur Stout III of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; daughters, Anne K. Tyre of Jacksonville, Fla., Laura R. Stout of Kerrville, Mary L. Stout of Odessa and Noell E. Ince of Gonzales; and seven grandchildren.

Marshall Tarrant

ODESSA — Marshall Ivry Tarrant, 86, of Odessa, a retired employee of Standard Oil Co., died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crescent Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Ernest Easley officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in Itan and moved to Odessa in 1942. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Mike Tarrant of Odessa; and three grandchildren.

Hubert Coats

ODESSA — Hubert Coats, 62, of Odessa died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at a local hospital.

Services are pending with Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel.

Karen Anne Seals Boone

ODESSA — Services for Karen Anne Seals Boone, 54, of Lewisville are scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Antioch Christian Church with the Rev. Don Fankhauser officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Boone passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. She was Born Dec. 20, 1946, in Mineral Wells and married James "Jim" Boone Dec. 19, 1970, in Odessa.

Karen moved to Odessa in 1947 from Mineral Wells. She enjoyed spending time with family, volunteering as a den mother and a band parent and she was a great cook. She spent time working with arts and crafts and also worked at the Antioch Christian Church library, where she was a member from 1973 to 1992. Then she and Jim moved to Lewisville where they were members of North Point Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, James L. Boone of Lewisville; mother, Lucille G. Seals of Odessa; sons, Terry C. Boone of Dallas and James L. Boone of Joplin, Mo.; daughters, Kimberly D. Boone of Las Vegas and Rebecca M. Boone Jones of Lewisville; brother, Vernon M. Boone Jr. of Odessa; and granddaughter, Heather M. Arnada of Odessa.

The family suggests memorials be made to Vocal Majority, P.O. Box 29904, Dallas, Texas 75229.

Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Prajedi Arredondo Jr.

SANDERSON — Prajedi Martinez Arredondo Jr., 91, of Sanderson, a retired laborer, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, in Terrell.

Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will be at Santa Rita cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.

He was born in Sanderson. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Felipe Arredondo, Roberto Arredondo, Humberto Arredondo, Marcelino Arredondo, Ricardo Arredondo and Luis Arredondo; sisters, Aurora Barrera and Elena Calzada of Sanderson; and 16 grandchildren.

Essie Dittman

FORT STOCKTON — Essie Dittman, 89, of Fort Stockton, a retired licensed vocational nurse, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, in Fort Stockton.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel with David Brockman officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

She was born in Crab and had been a resident of Imperial before moving to Fort Stockton in 1975. She was Baptist and a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Stepsons, Don Dittman Jr. of Big Lake, Charles Dittman of Grandfalls and Clarence Dittman of Killeen; stepdaughters, Donna Chipman of Belton and Ruby Chipman of Temple; sisters, Irene Jampell of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Ruby Burgess of Winter Spring, Fla.; brothers, Dave Wallace of New Hampshire and Bob Wallace of Midland; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Charles Dugan

ODESSA — Charles Dugan, 66, of Odessa, a retired oilfield salesman, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in Haskell County. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Earlene Dugan of Odessa; sons, Jerry Dugan and Lyndon Dugan, both of Odessa; daughters, Becky Echols of Odessa and Lisa Prall of Midland; sister, Elda Bryant of Old Glory; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Rafael Garcia

FORT STOCKTON — Rafael Garcia, 109, of Fort Stockton, a retired farmer, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at Fort Stockton Nursing Center.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.

He was born in Presidio. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Fermin Garcia of Fort Stockton and Oscar Hermosillo of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughters, Manuela Sanchez of Fort Stockton and Patricia Ortega of Midland; brothers, Victor Garcia and Rafael Garcia, both of Ojinaga, Mexico, and Timoteo Garcia of Balmorhea; 51 grandchildren; 115 great-grandchildren; 62 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

Barbara Allen

ODESSA — Barbara J. Allen, 72, of Odessa died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Odessa Regional Hospital.

Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
