He was born in Frankclay, Mo., and moved to Odessa in 1975 from Cabot, Ark. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was Baptist.

ODESSA — Services for Karen Anne Seals Boone, 54, of Lewisville are scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Antioch Christian Church with the Rev. Don Fankhauser officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Boone passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. She was Born Dec. 20, 1946, in Mineral Wells and married
James "Jim" Boone Dec. 19, 1970, in Odessa.
Karen moved to Odessa in 1947 from Mineral Wells. She enjoyed spending time with family, volunteering as a den mother and a band parent and she was a great cook. She spent time working with arts and crafts and also worked at the Antioch Christian Church library, where she was a member from 1973 to 1992. Then she and Jim moved to Lewisville where they were members of North Point Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, James L. Boone of Lewisville; mother, Lucille G. Seals of Odessa; sons, Terry C. Boone of Dallas and James L. Boone of Joplin, Mo.; daughters, Kimberly D. Boone of Las Vegas and Rebecca M. Boone Jones of Lewisville; brother, Vernon M. Boone Jr. of Odessa; and granddaughter, Heather M. Arnada of Odessa.
