ODESSA — Dianna Carrasco, 31, of Bryan, manager for Albertson’s Food and Drug Store in Bryan, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, in Navasota.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Frey officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Odessa. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Benito Carrasco of Bryan; daughters, Brittany Carrasco and Victoria Carrasco, both of Bryan; father, Cosme Valenzuela of Odessa; mother, Sulema Valenzuela of Odessa; brothers, Gilbert Valenzuela and Adolfo Valenzuela, both of Odessa; and sisters, Dora Venne of Dallas and Irma Limpe of Houston.

Vance Cline

ROSENBERG — Vance Cline, 41, of Needville died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, in Karnes City.

Services were at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at Angeles Funeral Home with the Rev. Harvey Abke officiating. Burial was at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements by Angeles Funeral Home.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Kim Lynn Cline of Needville; daughter, Kimberly Cline of Needville; son, Tony Nguyen of Houston; sister, Dorinda Cosper of Dallas; and brother, Mike Lepard of Odessa.

Charlie Ellis

ODESSA — Charlie K. Ellis, 72, of Odessa, a retired oilfield worker, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services were at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at Ector County cemetery with the Rev. Ernie Bever officiating. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.

He was born in Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Brother, Mack Ellis of Odessa; sister, Imogen Marshall of Odessa; and a grandchild.

Doyle Reed

PECOS — Doyle A. Reed, 47, of Pecos, a retired laborer, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Mount Evergreen cemetery with the Rev. James Henderson officiating. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

He was born in Corsbyton and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. He was Baptist.

SURVIVOR: Mother, Diane Reed of Pecos.

Gregorio Tarango

KERMIT — Gregorio Gonzales Tarango, 70, of Candelaria died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital in Kermit.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at the Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.

He was born in Coyame, Mexico, and had been a resident of Candelaria for five years. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Elvis Tarango of Van Horn, Eloer Tarango, Elias Tarango, Jose Tarango and Gregorio Tarango Jr., all of Los Fresnos, Mexico; daughters, Elohena Pando and Elda Herrera, both of Kermit, and Eulaya Valeriano of Midland; brother, Jesus Tarango of Candelaria; sister, Maria Gonzales of Burlington, Colo.; and 10 grandchildren.

Lora Waybourn

KERMIT — Lora Juanita Waybourn, 74, of Sherman, a homemaker, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Huguley Memorial Hospital in Fort Worth.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Kermit cemetery with Billy Waybourn officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.

She was born in Onia, Ark., and had been a resident of Jal, N.M., for 50 years. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Charles Waybourn of Joshua and Billy Waybourn of Dalworthing Gardens; daughters, Joann Dement of Austin, Linda Wilson of Sherman, Judy Hale of Grandview, Debbie Atkinson of Big Spring, Vickie McCormick and Tammy Whittemore, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother, Daniel Balentine of Bowie; sisters, Nola George of Okehma, Okla., and Lourve Boggs of Azel; 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Wallace Wilson

McKINNEY — Wallace F. Wilson, 78, of McKinney, retired owner of an auto-mobile body shop, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at North Central Medical Center in McKinney.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel with Ralph Edge officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Dallas-Fort Worth National cemetery. Arrangements by Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors.He was born in Winters and had been a longtime resident of Odessa. He was a Marines veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: Son, Wallace F. Wilson of Dallas; daughter, Deborah K. Edge of Allen; brother, Foy Wilson of Austin; sisters, Ruby Rougas of Winters and Betty Harville of El Paso; and three grandchildren.

ODESSA — The Rev. R.E. Norman, 92, of Odessa died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

BIG SPRING — Florence Vivian Seay, 89, of Big Spring died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, in Big Spring.

Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Alec Bassett

ODESSA — Alec Clifford Bassett, 85, of Odessa, a construction business owner, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at his residence.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Sherry Holloman officiating. A private burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Stanton and came to Odessa in 1945. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was Presbyterian.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Melba Bassett of Odessa; sons, Billy Bassett and Don Bassett, both of Odessa; sisters, Dot Wiginton of Plano and Carrie Mayo of Texarkana; and five grandchildren.

Maria Ramos

SEAGRAVES — Maria Ana Ramos, 65, of Seagraves, a homemaker, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at her home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Asamblea Apostolica Church with the Rev. Fernando Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at Seagraves cemetery. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.

She was born in Guerrero, Mexico. She moved to Seagraves in 1975 from Mexico. She was a member of Asamblea Apostolica Church.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Ramon Ramos of Seagraves; sons, Juan Ramos of San Marcos, and Joel Ramos, Samuel Ramos and Jeremias Ramos, all of Seagraves; brothers, Juan Moreno of Canada, Isaias Moreno of Arizona and Josue Moreno of El Paso; sisters, Eva Flores of Odessa, Santos Cordona of Mexico and Teresa Barrientos of Odessa; and eight grandchildren.

Florence Seay

ODESSA — Florence Vivian Seay, 89, of Big Spring, a driver’s education instructor, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, in Big Spring.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jim Ray Brown officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

She was born in Sweetwater. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Roscoe Seay of Big Spring; daughter, Loraine Redmand of Big Spring; brothers, Marvin Smith of San Angelo; sisters, Leona McClellan of Odessa; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mildred Trammell

KERMIT — Mildred G. Trammell, 81, of Kermit, a housewife, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at Kermit Health Care Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Belvue Baptist Church with the Rev. Emmett Upchurch officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.

She was born in Chambers County, Ala. She lived in Kermit for 42 years. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, DeValle Trammell of Kermit; daughters, Martha Pittinger and Jerri Stanley, both of Kermit, Peggy Brannon of Carlsbad, N.M., and Jane Carter of Ardmore, Okla.; brother, Kenneth Findly of Alabama; sisters, Cordelia Tidwell of Alabama and Mable Howard of Washington; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Fernando Valenzuela

ALPINE — Fernando Salcido Valenzuela, 87, of Alpine, a cook, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at his home.

Rosary will be said at 9 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.

He was born in Terlingua. He was a lifelong resident of Alpine.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Roy Valenzuela and Chris Valenzuela, both of Alpine, Oscar Valenzuela and David Valenzuela, both of Oceanside, Calif. and Johnny Valenzuela of Corpus Christi; daughters, Flora Fuentez, Fidela Valenzuela and Dominga Wright, all of Alpine, Rita Baxter of Corpus Christi, Sylvia Zamora of Sequin, Virginia Bohrn of Boise, Idaho, Patra Rodriguez of Grandfalls and Elizabeth Valenzuela of Del Rio; sisters, Pema Mata of Hadyen, Ariz., Luciana Valenzuela of Alpine and Lydia Porras of Crane; brother, Gregorio Ortega of Fort Stockton; 26 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Mary Pargas, 67, of Odessa died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
