Karen Anne Seals Boone
ODESSA — Services for Karen Anne Seals Boone, 54, of Lewisville are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Antioch Christian Church with the Rev. Don Fankhauser officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Boone passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. She was Born Dec. 20, 1946, in Mineral Wells and married
James "Jim" Boone Dec. 19, 1970, in Odessa.
Karen moved to Odessa in 1947 from Mineral Wells. She enjoyed spending time with family, volunteering as a den mother and a band parent and she was a great cook. She spent time working with arts and crafts and also worked at the Antioch Christian Church library, where she was a member from 1973 to 1992. Then she and Jim moved to Lewisville where they were members of North Point Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, James L. Boone of Lewisville; mother, Lucille G. Seals of Odessa; sons, Terry C. Boone of Dallas and James L. Boone of Joplin, Mo.; daughters, Kimberly D. Boone of Las Vegas and Rebecca M. Boone Jones of Lewisville; brother, Vernon M. Boone Jr. of Odessa; and granddaughter, Heather M. Arnada of Odessa.
The family suggests memorials be made to Vocal Majority, P.O. Box 29904, Dallas, Texas 75229.
Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

ANDREWS — Willie Velma Crain, 93, of Andrews died Oct. 21, 2000, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Andrews Church of Christ with Glen Long and Moody Conner officiating. Burial will be in Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements are with McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
She was born Feb. 4, 1907, in Erath County, Texas.
SURVIVORS: Son, Derrel Crain of Andrews; daughters, Anna Lou Hooper of Center and Dolores Pryor of Andrews; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

ANDREWS — Dorothy Mae Coon, 83, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, at Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church Chapel with the Revs. H.A. Hanks and Cameron Givan officiating. Burial will be at the Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Sand Springs, Okla., and moved to Andrews in 1949. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Linda Bartlett of Sayulita, Mexico, and Dorothy "Dotti" Blanks of Andrews; sister, Mary Lou Pierce of Fairfax, Okla.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

STANTON — Phillip Charles Gomes, 68, of Stanton, a retired laborer, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at his residence.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at Evergreen cemetery with Van Pendergrass officiating. Arrangements by Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.
He was born in Los Angeles and had been a resident of Stanton since 1985. He was a Marine Corps veteran.

She was born in Odessa and was a lifelong resident.

She was born in Millersview and had been a resident of Odessa and Goldsmith. She was Methodist.

He was born in Piedras Negras, Mexico.

She was born in Van Horn. She was Catholic.
