ODESSA — Mauro Garcia Sotelo, 44, of Odessa died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico.
He was born Jan. 15, 1956, in Rancho Pena, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a sandblaster and painter. He was Catholic.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 5, 2000, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eleno and Patricia Sotelo.
Survivors are his wife, Alejandra V. Sotelo of Odessa; son, Mauro Sotelo Jr. of Odessa; daughters, Sonia Sotelo Rios, Elsa Sotelo, Sandra Sotelo Orona and Veronica Sotelo, all of Odessa; brothers, Cipriano Sotelo of Chihuahua, Mexico, Rodolfo Sotelo of Odessa and Toribio Sotelo of Cactus; sisters, Sara Sotelo and Micaela Sotelo Armendariz, both of Chihuahua; and grandson, Luis Felipe Rios.

Wyneta ‘Granny’ Nunley
JACKSBORO — Wyneta “Granny” Nunley, 92, of Ruidoso, N.M., and formerly of Eastland and Jacksboro, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, in Ruidoso, N.M.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 5, 2000, at the Oakwood cemetery in Jacksboro with Joe Williams officiating, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.
Mrs. Nunley was born June 13, 1908, in Jack County to Edward Morton and Donna Elizabeth Brown Pringle.
She was baptized into the Church of Christ at a young age. She married
Elisha Franklin Nunley March 20, 1926, in Jacksboro. She earned her licensed vocational nurse degree from Odessa College and worked for J.H. Wood Hospital and later Medical Center Hospital as well as private nursing in Odessa for 30 years.
Mr. Nunley preceded her in death in 1982 as well as her son Ken Nunley in 1996 and two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, L. Ray and Mary Lee Nunley of Ruidoso, N.M.; six grandchildren, Richard Alan Nunley of Odessa, Kenneth David Nunley of Boston, Mass., Betty Ann Forbes of Midland, Lonnie Edward Nunley of Mesa, Ariz., Donald Ray Nunley of Payson, Ariz., and Robin Lea Anne Nunley of Ruidoso; and 11 great-grandchildren.
ODESSA — Margaret Ann Slater, 66, of Odessa died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at Martinez Funeral Home with Larry Powell officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.
She was born Nov. 18, 1934, in Oklahoma City to Buenice Evelyn See and Emmett Dudley Gordon. She was a homemaker. She married
Dean Franklin Aug. 25, 1951.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Larry Dean Slater.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Slater of Odessa; sons, John Dudley Slater (Kelly) and Patrick Wayne Slater (Diane B.), both of Odessa; brother, Charles Ross of Beggs, Okla.; grandchildren, Carle R. Rojelio Josiah Orocso
ODESSA — Services for Rojelio Josiah Orosco, four months, of Odessa are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at Rose Hill Babyland cemetery with the Rev. Fidelo Lugo officiating.
Rojelio died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born July 26, 2000, in Odessa.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles Flores and Tomasa Flores.
Survivors include his father, Rojelio Orosco of Odessa; mother, Joann Flores of Odessa; brother, Anthony Ray Orosco of Smithville; sister, Janette Villanueva of Odessa; nephew, Isiah Villanueva of Odessa; niece, Alexis Villanueva of Odessa; brother-in-law, Ketcho Villanueva of Odessa; grandfather, Tomas Orosco of Odessa; grandmother, Enedina Orosco of Odessa; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Hattie Marie Hall
ODESSA — Services for Hattie Marie Hall, 89, of Odessa are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Terry Pierce officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hall died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center. She was born May 19, 1911, in Fonde, Ky.
Mrs. Hall came to Odessa in 1970 from St. Louis, Mo. She was a retired nurse’s aid. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her daughter, Othelia Swinney and husband Mike of Odessa; sons, Jerry Hall and wife Jean of San Diego, Calif., Henry Hall and wife Joyce of Tulsa, Okla., and Sherrill McCarty of Middlebury, Vt.; brothers, Kenneth McCarty and Elgin McCarty, both of Clinton, Tenn., James B. McCarty of Parkville, Mo., and Estal McCarty of Louisiana; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Harold D. Goodson
MIDLAND — Harold D. Goodson was born January 20, 1937, in Childress to William Goodson and Nellie (Fromm) Goodson. He was a graduate of Childress High School and Texas Tech where he played football as a full scholarship athlete. In the mid-’5Os, he had a band, “Hal Goodson and the Raiders,” which released several recordings that are currently being re-released in England. He married
Joyce Lee Duncan Aug. 4, 1958, in Muleshoe. Mr. Goodson was employed with Fields and Company in Odessa and Amarillo, retiring in June of 1999. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.
Mr. Goodson died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at a Midland hospital.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister, Naomi Gupton.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Goodson of Midland; four children, Cynthia Mills of Midland, Mark Goodson of Bedford, Marsha Etter of Lubbock and Robin Horst and her husband, Dirk, of Grand Prairie; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth Mills, Zachary Mills, David Mills, Alex Goodson, Dylan Goodson, Conner Goodson, Logan Etter, Camille Etter and Sarah Etter; a brother, Marion Goodson of Hobbs, N.M.; four sisters, Pansy Johnson and Patsy Wylie, both of Dallas, Mary Cox of Bosque Farms, N.M., and Lena Ford of California.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 5, 2000, at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at Crestview Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Ashlock officiating. This will be a time to remember and celebrate his love and his life. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dirk Horst, Lawrence Barber, Robert Johnson, Norman Gooch, Jim Bryan and Burt Thomas.

He was a devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His motto in life was “I tried” and he gave all of himself to everything he did.
Robert James Willison
ODESSA — Robert “Bob” Willison, 78, of Odessa died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born April 24, 1922, in Cook County, Ill., to Gardner and Margaret Willison.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. B.J. Foster officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He moved to Odessa in July 1971 from Knox City. He was employed by Occidential Petroleum for 20 years as a pipeline superintendent. He was a member of the Methodist church in Knox City and a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home and was a member of the Sandhills Ramblers RV Club.
Mr. Willison is survived by his wife, Dorothy Willison of Odessa; sons, Dick Willison and wife, Terry, of Tulsa, Okla., and Robert Willison Jr. and wife Teresa of Odessa; sister, Peggy Billingsley of Houston; grandson, Trae Willison III of Broken Arrow, Okla.; granddaughters, Kim Willison of Tulsa, Okla., and Heather and Meagan Willison of Odessa; great-grandsons, Cade Willison and Gage Willison of Broken Arrow, Okla.; step grandchildren, Crystal Gensicke and P.T. Sherman; and step great-grandchildren, Erica, Kyle and Kadyn Gensicke.
The family will receive visitors from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
Following the service, there will be a reception at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4901 Maple Ave.
Mary Wright Pargas
ODESSA — Services for Mary Wright Pargas, 67, of Odessa are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Church Fourth and Adams with Larry Tate officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
Mary Pargas died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Nov. 21, 1933, in Alpine. She married
Senaido B. Pargas on Oct. 31, 1968, in Kermit.
Mrs. Pargas moved to Odessa in 1974 from Pecos. She was a nurse’s aid and of the Jehovah’s Witnesses faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Josefina Wright; son, Joel Lambrano; and daughter, Nora Lambrano Garcia.
Survivors include her husband, Senaido B. Pargas of Odessa; sons, Hector Rey of Alpine, Frank Lambrano, Glenn Lambrano and Higinio Garcia, all of Odessa; daughters, Norma Enriguez of Pecos and Hilda Rodriguez of Odessa; brothers, David Wright, Mike Sam Wright and Nick Wright, all of Alpine, Isreal Wright of Austin and Abel Wright of Odessa; sister, Neomi N. Wright of Alpine; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Aurelia DeHay
ODESSA — Aurelia DeHay, 78, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital after a short illness.
She was born April 23, 1922 near Casper, Wyo. She married
C.C. DeHay in Odessa on Nov. 1, 1963. She retired on March 31, 1994 after working for Doctors Payne and Zeeck of Permian Basin Orthopedic for 31 years. She was a member of Eisenhower Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, C.C. DeHay of Odessa; son, Ken Stewart of Uvalde; three grandsons, Barry Stewart of Denver, Colo., Stephen Stewart of San Angelo, and Jeffery Stewart of Lubbock; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson, half-brother, Henry Labban of Washington. She had five step grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren.
Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home and will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eisenhower Church of Christ with Bill Love officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden.
Nina Robbins Eaves
ODESSA — Services for Nina Robbins Eaves, 85, of Odessa are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at the Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Terry Wright officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Eaves died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born July 28, 1915, in Woodville, Okla. She married
R.C. Eaves on March 9, 1937 in Madil, Okla. He died Dec. 17, 1991.
Mrs. Eaves was a retired employee of the state of Texas. She was a member and past worthy matron of O.E.S. Floyd Easterling Chapter and a past noble grandmother of the Rebekka Lodge. She also was a member of the Westover Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Fern Stark and her husband, Robert, and Illa Fitzgerald and her husband, James R. Sr., all of Odessa; sister, Ethel Upchurch of Weatherford; sister-in-law, Effie Fraker of Electra; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
