Robert Graham Scholl
ODESSA — Services for Robert Graham Scholl, 52, of Odessa were scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jack Watkins officiating. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Dr. Scholl died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1948, in Allentown, Penn. He moved to Odessa in 1983 from Fort Worth. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was also an accomplished drummer.
His father, Joseph Scholl, preceded him in death in 1989.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Scholl; aunt, Marjorie Baker of Memphis, Tenn.; and multiple cousins, Charles Pace and Rita Evans, Tammy and Terry Crouch, Beverly and Kelly Evans and Robbie and Wayne Maass, all of Odessa, July Bently of Austin, Steve Graham of Dallas, Charlie Graham of Midland, Jan Vaughn of Weatherford, Bob Graham of Dallas, Georgia Wohlforth, Mike Baker and June McClellan, all of Memphis, Tenn.

Debra White
ODESSA — Debra White, 44, of Odessa died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born March 1, 1956, in Andrews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at the Frank W. Wilson Chapel with Odessa Police Chaplain Kyle Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at Andrews North cemetery in Andrews.
Mrs. White graduated from Andrews High School in 1974 and attended Odessa College and the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. She moved to Odessa in 1989. Mrs. White was employed by the Odessa Police Department as a clerk. She was a member of the Sociology Club of Odessa. She was Baptist.
Survivors include her sons, Jason Lowe and Shawn Lowe, both of Odessa; husband, Dale Lowe of Odessa; parents, Orivil and Jackie White of Noodle; brother, Steve White of Noodle; sisters, Cynthia Jackson of May and Judy Johnson of Roscoe; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Manuela M. Serrano
ODESSA — Manuela M. Serrano, 75 years of age, passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. She was born Dec. 14, 1924, in Ocampo, Coahuila, Mexico.
A homemaker and member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, she was preceded in death by her husband Vicente; and her son, Celso Serrano; sisters, Irene Flotte and Catherina Torres.
She is survived by her sons, Sixto Serrano, Miguel Serrano, Jesus Serrano, Braulio Serrano, Jesus Manuel Serrano and Raul Serrano, all of Odessa; daughters, Irene Marquez, Elvira Suchil, Julieta Dutchover, Olivia Medrano and Irma Valenzuela, all of Odessa; brothers, Inez Melchor of Presidio and Dolores Melchor of Odessa; sisters, Maria Madrid of Lubbock and Conrada Armendariz of Odessa; 49 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Odessa Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday in the funeral home chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
Her pallbearers will be her six sons.

Ysmael M. Ruiz
ODESSA — Ysmael M. Ruiz was born May 17, 1930, in Colonia Esperanza, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Jose and Julia Martinez Ruiz. He passed away the evening of Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of San Juan Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ruiz came to Odessa in 1969 from Pecos. He was a member of Our Lady of San Juan Catholic Church.
He was a lathe operator for Wooley Tool Company until his retirement in 1991.
Survivors include his wife, Santos Ruiz of Odessa; his sons, Javier and wife, Sarah, and Jose M. Ruiz and wife, Rosie, all of Odessa; his daughters, Graciela Evaro and husband, Rubin, and Julia Ruiz, all of Odessa, Marta A. Lujan and husband, Richard, of Arlington and Leticia Lucio and husband, Moses, of Midlothian; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services are in the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

FORT STOCKTON — Gary Barr, 51, of Fort Stockton, a plant operations manager, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, in Fort Stockton.

He was born in Hobbs, N.M. He lived in Fort Stockton for 25 years.

ODESSA — Marjorie Fern Carlisle, 76, of Odessa, a school teacher, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Avalon Nursing Home in Odessa.

She was born in Bowlingreen, Fla. She lived in Odessa for 45 years. She was a member of the West Texas Gem and Mineral Society, Order of the Eastern Star, Odessa Prospectors Club and was an adjutant professor at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Larry Carlisle and John Carlisle, both of Odessa; sister, Charlotte Barber of Cross City, Fla.; and three granddaughters.

ODESSA — Barney Glenn Cockurm, 40, of Odessa, an oil field driller, died Sept. 13, 2000, in Odessa.

ODESSA — Marshall Fields, 71, of Odessa, a U.S. Navy veteran, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

He was born in Lamesa. He lived in Odessa for 50 years after moving from Lamesa. He was the owner and broker of Marshall Fields Real Estate.

MIDLAND — Noman Reese, 81, of Odessa died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, in Odessa.

He was born in Winnsboro. He lived in the Odessa-Midland area most of his life, working as a heavy equipment operator in the oilfield.

HOBBS, N.M. — Thomas Travis 'Tip' Tipton, 86, of Granbury, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, in Granbury.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Temple Baptist Church in Hobbs, N.M. with the Rev. Lavoid Ford officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Haven cemetery in Hobbs, N.M. Arrangements by Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
He was born in Como. He worked for W.M. 'Billy' Walker Trucking Co. He was Baptist.

Audrey Taylor
ODESSA — Audrey Marie Taylor, 74, of San Angelo, a longtime Odessa resident, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at San Angelo Community Medical Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Church of God with Martin Kehler and Paul Jones officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Bristow, Okla. She designed airplanes for Lockheed during World War II. She was a past vice-president of Atco and a founding member of the First Church of God in Odessa.

Bettie Lou Varner
MONAHANS — Bettie Lou Varner, 72, of Grandfalls, a retired secretary, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at her home in Grandfalls.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Grandfalls with the Rev. Allen Speed officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
She was born in Oklahoma.
