ODESSA - June Winslow Bowen, 90, of Odessa, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, in a local hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. David Ring officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Haven of Memories cemetery in Canton. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Lamar, Mo., and moved to Odessa in 1979 from Canton. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Son, J.W. Bowen of Odessa; daughter, Carol Garretson of Irving; and three grandchildren.

W.E. Bridges

FORT STOCKTON - W.E. "Web" Bridges, 65, of Fort Stockton, a mechanic, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, in Odessa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jim Miles officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.

He was born in Hornbeck, La. He was a Marine Corps veteran. He was Presbyterian.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Susan Wilson of Fort Stockton; and Julie Bridges of Tamaqua, Pa.; brother, Mitchell Bridges of Vidor; sisters, Charlotte Kroger of Austin; Sonia Bridges of Lafayette, La.; Selma Beasley of Houston and Margaret Spallino of New Orleans; and three grandchildren.

Glenn Casey

AUSTIN - Glenn W. Casey, 82, of Austin, a retired construction company owner, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, in Austin.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bethany United Methodist Church. He was born in Cherokee, Iowa, and moved to Austin in 1970. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Norma Casey of Austin; son, Pat Casey of Austin; daughter, Joyce Casey of Austin; stepson, Steve Cranford; stepdaughter, Julie Cranford Border; sister, Lois Brown of Austin; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

J.D. Elrod

ODESSA - J.D. Elrod, 66, of Odessa, an oilfield worker, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at his residence.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jack Watkins officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in Lamesa and moved to Odessa in the late 1950s. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Moneke Elrod of Odessa; brothers, Willard Elrod and Noble Elrod, both of Odessa; Calvin Elrod of Houston; sisters, Mamie Lee of Ashville, N.C.; Mozelle Dees of Oklahoma; and Bernice Baze of Odessa; and two grandchildren.

Velma Greenfield

ODESSA - Velma Ruby Greenfield, 87, of Odessa died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Williamson County and moved to Odessa in 1962. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Troy Greenfield of Odessa; daughter, Janice Christesson of Odessa; brothers, Buddy Tovin of Leander; and Sonny Tovin of Austin; sisters, Dorlas Myers of Austin; and Blanche Dickerson; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Bessie Yancy

ODESSA - Bessie Kathrine Yancy, 66, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Latter Rain Worship Center with the Rev. Craig DeArmond officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Del Rio and was a longtime resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Beverly Lane of Odessa; son, Steve Reed of Arlington; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Elmer Sutton

ODESSA - Elmer W. "Rusty" Sutton, 79, of Odessa, a retired oilfield salesman, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at a local hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Wilson, Okla., and moved to Odessa in 1945 from Denver City.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Elaina Lance of Odessa; and Vicky Trifon of Corpus Christi; brother, John L. Sutton of Clairmore, Okla.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

F.B. Carruth

ODESSA - F.B. "Fred" Carruth, 65, of Andrews died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, in Hughes Springs.

Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home.

Maria Montez

STANTON - Maria Losoya Montez, 83, of Stanton, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Westwood Medical Center in Midland.

Services are pending with Stanton Memorial Funeral Home.

Don Carson

SEMINOLE - Don Carson, 88, of Seminole, a self-employed home building contractor, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at Seminole Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Dale officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County cemetery North. Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral Home.

He was born in Graham. He farmed and ranched for many years. He was a member of the International Order of the Oddfellows.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Roberta Carson, of Seminole; sons, Joe Delton Carson of Saint Martinville, La. and Charlie Don Carson of Sheffield; daughters, Donna Ruth Munnerlyn of Saint Martinville, La., Carolyn Sue Warren and Sherry Juan Davis, both of Hawkins, Patsy Naomi Shrauner of Andrews, Mary Lynn Taylor of Clyde and Shirley Kay Whisenant of Seminole; sisters, Reba Salugther of Lubbock and Trude Lantis of Bakersfield, Calif.

Jerry Coomer

McCAMEY - Jerry H. Coomer, 79, of McCamey, U.S. Marine veteran of World War II, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at his home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Jim Hill officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

He was born in Wilson, Okla. He worked for Shell Pipe Line as a microwave technician until his retirement in 1984. He moved to McCamey in 1953.

SURVIVORS: Son, Mike Coomer of Lubbock; daughters, Patti Sewell of Fort Stockton and Shirley Badgett of Sonora; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Herminia Ornelas de Pallares

PORTALES, N.M. - Herminia Ornelas de Pallares, 57, of Portales, N.M., died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at Lubbock Covenant Medical Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church with Allen Urioste officiating. Burial will be at House cemetery. Arrangements by Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.

She was born in San Antonio Del Bravo, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Socorro Pallares of Portales, N.M., daughter, Fabiola Gutierrez of Portales, N.M.; sons, Socorro Pallares Jr. of Sanger, and Ray Pallares and Jose Pallares, both of Portales, N.M., and Javier Pallares of Arlington; sisters, Josie Sanchez of Stanton, and Lucia Carrasco and Esperanza Lopez, both of Portales, N.M., Elena Pallares of Clovis, N.M., Remedios Herrera of Roswell, N.M., an dJuana Sanchez of Arlington; brothers, Domingo Ornelas, Tito Ornelas and Gonzalo Ornelas, all of Midland, Mariano Ornelas of Marfa and Jesus Ornelas of Portales, N.M.; and five grandchildren.
