Erma Campbell
MIDLAND - Erma Campbell, our loving mother and friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 21, 2001.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2001, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Kepple officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
Erma Campbell was born Oct. 12, 1922, in Coleman County to William Henry and Lucy Williams. She was reared and educated in Talpa and Valera. She married
Marshall B. Campbell. She operated Erma’s Restaurant in Midland until her retirement. Erma was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 7208 and the 55 Dance Club.
Erma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marshall Campbell; her parents; a son, David Campbell; a grandson, Jason Plunk; three granddaughters, Karen and Sharon Warren and Donna Gardner; and a great-grandson, Randy Struck.
She is survived by her three sons, Bob Cude and his wife, Kay, of Ballinger, Gary Campbell of Ballinger and Joey Campbell of Dallas; her three daughters, Nancy C. Plunk and her husband, Gene, of Midland, Marsha Cook and her husband, Joe, of Odessa and Gail Warren and her husband, Mike, of Ballinger; a sister, JoAnn Baker of Valera; a brother, Archie "Bud" Williams of Brownfield; her 30 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Don Miller, Joe Handley, Bill Bowden, Noble Kendrick, Mark Thompson and Travis Jarnagin.
Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Nolen Farrington.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
Anjie Lou White Edwards
ODESSA - Anjie Lou White Edwards, 64, of Van Horn passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Hospice House. She was born April 29, 1936, in Seymour. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of West Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Edwards; parents, Elmer and Loyce White; and sister, Elaine Clark.
She is survived by a son, Verlon Hoyt Edwards of Van Horn, and four brothers.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Odessa.

ODESSA - Mary Keele, 64, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Sept. 10, 1936, in Lufkin to Edwin and Sara Mae Presnall. Her parents preceded her in death.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Keele of Odessa; sons, Starrett Keele of Fort Worth and Robert Keele of Odessa; sisters, Sarah Ferguson and Shirlee Rogers, both of Odessa; three grandchildren, Jackson Bridges and Mason and Conner Keele; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were in the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Sara Beth Wade
ODESSA - Sara Beth Wade, 46, of Odessa passed away Friday, March 30, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Jan. 20, 1955, in Odessa to Waylon and Ruth Flanery.
A graveside service will be held Monday, April 2, 2001, at 1 p.m. at Rose Hill cemetery with Pastor Jess Little of Sunset Heights Baptist Church officiating.
Mrs. Wade was raised in Odessa, graduating from Odessa High School in 1973. She married
Henry Wade on June 7, 1973. Her life has been lived as a devoted wife and mother to her family and friend to the Odessa community.
She was a member of the OHS swim team booster club. Mrs. Wade always had a booth at the VFW flea market. She attended Sunset Heights Baptist Church in Odessa.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Wade of Odessa; two daughters, Sarena Weatherly and Rachel Wade, both of Odessa; a son, Travis Wade of Odessa; a grandchild, Willow Lamb of Odessa; a sister, Rena Elmore of Whitney; parents, Waylon and Ruth Flanery of Whitney; and her paternal grandmother, Bea Flanery of Hillsboro.

Ruby Kathryn Ward
ODESSA - Ruby Kathryn Ward, 79, of Odessa passed away Friday, March 30, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born May 31, 1921, in Sayre, Okla. She married
J.D. Ward on Feb. 5, 1938, in Lovington, N.M. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Mrs. Ward moved to Odessa in 1946 from Brownfield. She was a homemaker and a member of Belmont Baptist Church for more than 50 years.
Survivors are her sons, James E. Ward of Midland, Henery E. Ward and wife Rita of New Braunfels, Norman L. Ward and wife Debi of Odessa; daughter Reba Heard and husband John of Odessa; sister Patsy Moore of Dallas; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2001, at Belmont Baptist Church with Rev. Rex Clayton and Rev. Kerry Peacock officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Manuel Estrada Ybarra Sr.
ODESSA - Manuel Estrada Ybarra Sr., 57, of Odessa died Friday, March 30, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Houston. Mass is at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.
Rosary services are at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.
Mr. Ybarra was born June 27, 1943, in Marfa. He was a journeyman pipefitter. He was Catholic.
He was preceded in death by brother Rufino Ybarra.
He is survived by his first wife, Alicia Ybarra of Odessa; son Manuel Ybarra Jr. of Odessa; daughters Angie Y. Sauceda, Maria Y. Gallegos, and Melissa Ybarra, all of Odessa, and Stephanie Y. Gonzales of San Angelo; parents Antonio Ybarra Sr. and Angelita E. Ybarra, both of Odessa; brothers Tony Ybarra Jr. and Hector Ybarra, both of Odessa, and Sammy Ybarra of Midland; sisters Hortencia "Tenchi" Gomez and Mary Pando, both of Odessa; and 16 grandchildren.
He is also survived by special friend Maria Rodriguez and best friend Joe Ruiz; and 14 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jose Ybarra, Tony Ybarra III, Rudy Rodriguez, Bobby Sauceda, Luis Gonzales and Joe Ruiz.
Juan Jasso
Juan Leyva "Papo" Jasso, 72, of Odessa, a laborer, died Sunday, March 4, 2001, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilberto Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Ector County cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
Viewing and visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and Tuesday, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Rocky Jasso, John Jasso, Jessie Jr. Jasso, Jamie Del Bosque, Henry Gonzales, Eduviques Jasso, Miguel Angel Arroyo and Ralph Carrillo.
Mr. Jasso is survived by his wife, Esther Olivas Jasso, of Odessa; sons Johnny Jasso, Sesario Jasso and Jesse Jasso of Odessa; daughters Lina Subia, Diana Ramirez, Tammy Jasso and Norma Mancha of Odessa; sisters Sofia Jasso and Angela Arroyo of Chihuahua, Mexico; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Jasso was preceded in death by his parents, Sesario and Jovita Leyva Jasso.
He was a special husband and wonderful father - not only his kids and grandkids, but also a special friend to many. We were blessed for 72 years. Papo will be missed.
Monroe T. Buels
ODESSA - Monroe T. Buels, age 87, of Odessa died Feb. 28, 2001, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village. He was born Dec. 11, 1913 in Ft. Bend, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2001 in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with Roy Smalling and Dr. Jesse Cone officiating.
Monroe was a chief warrant officer during World War II serving as an aide to General Patton.
Mr. Buels married
Annie L. Lewis on May 4, 1947, in Lubbock. They moved to Odessa in 1951, and he was a member of the Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ. He was employed by Marks Crane and Rigging for 12 years.
He is survived by a son, Ralph M. Buels of Georgetown.

Lillian Thames Porter Fambro
ROCKWALL - Lillian Thames Porter Fambro passed away March 3, 2001, in Rockwall, Texas. Born Sept. 11, 1915, in Evant (Hamilton County), Texas, she was the last of Joseph and Annie Whitley Thames’ eight children.
At age 3, she lost her mother, brother and brother-in-law to the great Spanish flu epidemic. In 1933, after graduating from Forsan (Texas) High School, she married
Robert P. Porter of Chemult, Oregon.
Mr. Porter, the father of her four children, died in 1966. In 1973, she married
Ranald McDonald, who died two years later. She married
Tom Fambro in 1978. He died 10 years later.
Left to honor her life are her children, Robert B. Porter and Gary L. Porter of San Angelo, Richard L. Porter of Rockwall, and Jacklyn Porter Antweiler of Austin. In addition to her four children, Lillian is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A devout Christian, Lillian was a member for most of her life at the First Baptist Church of Odessa, Texas. She started her professional life as a chart clerk, then became the librarian for Phillips Petroleum Company in Odessa. She worked for Phillips some 22 years.
For many years, she was active in the Jane Phillips Sorority, serving in several elected positions in the local chapter, and at one point was president of the national Jane Phillips Sorority.
She enjoyed music and was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s, a women’s singing group. She lived for the past few years at the Summer Ridge Assisted Living Center in Rockwall, Texas.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 4, 2001, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel, with Melvin Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
