Lottie Sue Hughes

KERMIT - Lottie Sue "Sudie" Hughes, 94, of Slaton, a homemaker, died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel in Kermit with the Rev. David Weyant officiating. Burial is at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel Inc.

She was born in Sherman. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Son, A. F. Hughes Jr. of Kingwood; daughter, Sue Jane Hale of Lubbock; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Ida Shelton

MONAHANS - Ida Shelton, 93, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at Odessa Medical Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Southside Baptist Church in Monahans with Craig Rhotan officiating. Burial is at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Coleman, Colo. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, J.K. Shelton of Monahans.

Katy Borron

FREDERICKSBURG - Katy Borron, 79, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, April 14, 2001, in Fredericksburg.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Imperial cemetery in Imperial. Arrangements by Beckmann Funeral Home.

LaVesta Chennault

ODESSA - LaVesta Chennault, 80, of Odessa, a retired bookkeeper for Fitz Equipment Co., died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at Hospice House.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Odessa Tabernacle Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Jayton.

SURVIVORS: Son, Randy Chennault of Hemet, Calif.; daughter, Sandra "Sandi" Hudman of Odessa; brother, B.R. Lee of Stephenville; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Alvin Hutson

SEMINOLE - Alvin Edwin Hutson, 68, of Seminole, a retired senior operator for Exxon, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. David Moore and Dr. Brian Gorden officiating. Burial will follow at the Gaines County cemetery South. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

He was born in Lawton, Okla., and moved to Seminole in 1968 from Fort Stockton. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Jo Hutson of Seminole; sons, Joe Hutson of Lubbock, Ronnie Hutson of Mesquite and Lonnie Hutson of Sugar Land; daughter, Tammy Clark of Seminole; brothers, Jack Hutson and Gary Hutson, both of Fletcher, Okla., and Wesley Hutson of Birch Tree, Mo.; sisters, Bernice Gibson of Coke Dale, Colo., Sharon Cullars and Patricia Frazier, both of Corpus Christi; and 13 grandchildren.

Anastacia Lujan

STANTON - Anastacia A. Lujan, 90, of Stanton, a homemaker, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Revs. Arturo Pestin and Ernie Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.

She was born in Casa Piedra.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Rita Cantu, Elva Salgado and Amparo Garza, all of Stanton, Gloria Rios of Big Spring and Lola Jimenez of Ysleta; sons, George Lujan and Joe Jimenez, both of Stanton, Juan Catano of Banning, Calif., and Dario Catano of Pomona, Calif.; stepdaughters, Lupe Venegas of Marfa and Maggie Lara of Odessa; brother, Chon Aguirre of Monahans; 54 grandchildren; 91 great-grandchildren; and 73 great-great-grandchildren.

IRAAN - Eileen Stuard Weehunt, 54, of Lubbock, a beautician, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, in Iraan.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Restland cemetery with the Rev. Jesus Galindo officiating. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

She was born in San Angelo.

SURVIVORS: Son, Gregg Martin of Lubbock; daughter, Julie Weehunt of Lubbock; parents, Claud and Marjorie Stuard of Iraan; and brothers, Ron Stuard of Sheffield and Joe Stuard of Dierks, Ark.

ODESSA - Caron Boen, 55, of Odessa died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

He was born in Memphis and moved to Andrews in 1996 from Nacogdoches. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

He was born in Whitharral and was a resident of Odessa since 1962.

SURVIVORS: Son, Bryan David Kramer of Odessa; daughter, Rita Lynn of Midland; mother, Lou Emma Burrus Edwards of Levelland; brother, Glenn Edwards of Levelland; sisters, Shirley Breeden of Brownfield and Mary Spruiell of Center; and three grandchildren.

Nora Hapenney

EWA BEACH, Hawaii - Nora Jane "Nix" Hapenney, 80, of Honolulu, retired business manager of the Odessa American, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, in Ewa Beach, Hawaii.

Services will be private. Arrangements by Ultimate Cremation Services of Hawaii.

She was born in Delavin, Ill.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Jim Hapenney of Honolulu; son, Dan Hapenney of Waco; sister, Pat Harrington of San Francisco; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
