ODESSA - Vell V. Huntley, 68, of Odessa, a retired construction worker, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Hospice House.

Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Ector County cemetery with the Rev. H.L. Lewis officiating. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Bradley, Ark.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Bettie Huntley of Phoenix; and brother, Hermon Carter of Odessa.

Verda McAdams

ODESSA - Verda Beatrice McAdams, 86, of Midland, a homemaker, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Terrace West Nursing Center in Midland.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at First Church of God with Martin Kehler and Paul Jones officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Beaver, Okla. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Beaver and moved to Midland in 1971. She was a member of the Church of God.

SURVIVORS: Son, Max McAdams of Odessa; daughter, Carole Beegle of Loveland, Colo.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Vernon Scott

ODESSA - Vernon Scott, 74, of Odessa died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Allie Webb

ODESSA - Allie Ruth Webb, 98, of Odessa died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at her residence.

Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Agnes Armstrong

KERMIT - Agnes B. Prather Armstrong, 71, of Kermit, a retail sales clerk, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital in Kermit.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Kermit cemetery with the Rev. Wilburn Brock officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.

She was born in Emory and was a resident of Kermit for 10 years. She was Pentecostal.

SURVIVORS: Brothers, Kenneth Wayne Prather of Kermit, William Bradford Prather of Albuquerque, N.M., and Louis Edward Prather of Shreveport, La.

Neva Brendlinger

BIG SPRING - Neva Mae Brendlinger, 78, of Big Spring, a retired employment agent, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at a local hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. James Liggett officiating. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.

She was born in Dayton, Iowa, and moved to Big Spring in 1994 from California. She was Episcopalian.

SURVIVORS: Son, John Michael Manusos of Des Moines, Iowa; daughter, Nancy Marie Manusos of Big Spring; and sisters, Lorene Miller of DeWitt, Iowa, and Ione Romig of Solvang, Calif.

Charlie Hogue Jr.

BATSON - Charlie Lorenza Hogue Jr., 86, of Big Spring, a retired teacher and mobile home park operator, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at a local nursing home.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Guidrey cemetery with the Rev. Alvin Tomlinson and Jimmie Cryer officiating. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.

He was born in Emmet, Okla. He was a Navy veteran. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: There are no survivors listed.

Maria Larrea

ODESSA - Maria S. Larrea, 47, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Fidelo Lugo officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

She was born in Presidio and moved to Odessa from Presidio in 1974. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Son, Cipriano Torres Sawyer of Odessa; daughter, Claudia Larrea of Odessa; mother, Maria Torres of Odessa; brothers, Manuel Torres and Oscar Juarez, both of Odessa; sister, Josefina Torres of Odessa; and a grandchild.

Wyatt Silver

CINCINNATI - Wyatt Silver, 34, of Golf Manor, Ohio, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at his residence.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Mount Auburn Presbyterian Church with the Rev. A. Stephen VanKuiken officiating. Arrangements by Renfro and Piper Funeral Service.

He was born in Hobbs, N.M.

SURVIVORS: Father, Lester Silver Jr. of Cincinnati; mother, Luella Thomas Williams of Odessa; stepmother, Marcia Silver of Cincinnati; brother, Reginald Silver of Odessa; sisters, Leslie Silver of Cincinnati and Paulundres Terry of Odessa; stepbrothers, Jeremy Sedam and Trai Sedam, both of Cincinnati; grandparents, Lester Silver Sr. of Cincinnati and Luther Thomas of Odessa.

Elva Juanita Braddock

ODESSA - Elva Juanita Braddock, 84, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, May 5, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parkview Church of Christ with Charles Jones and Larry Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelley Funeral Home.

She was born in Lawton, Okla. She was Christian.

RANGER - Harvey "Pete" Brown, 57, of Odessa, a former oilfield truck driver, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at Memorial Medical Center in Midland.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Evergreen cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Speer officiating. Arrangements by Edwards Funeral Home.

He was born in Ranger. He was an Army veteran. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Gwen Thompson, Carla Lewis and Kim McCormick, all of Odessa; son, Larry Ray Brown of Odessa; and sister, Alta Faye Grumbles of Ranger.

He was born in Fort Worth. He was an Army veteran. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Virginia Lee of Kermit; sons, James Donald Lee and John Kerrington Lee III, both of Arlington; mother, Mildred B. Lee of Arlington; brother, Don Lee of Kansas City; sisters, Allonia McCoy and Peggy Knight, both of Houston; stepson, Carlos C. Howell of Plains; and a granddaughter.

He was born at Saleces, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was Catholic.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lakeview Christian Church with the Revs. Raymond E. Holman Jr. and Thom Phelps officiating. Burial will be at Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

He was born at Sepulpa, Okla. He was Christian.
