ODESSA - Inez Carrasco Lopez Jr., 37, a painter, died Monday, June 30, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel with George Rodriquez officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Pecos and was a resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Betty Lopez of El Paso; sons, Tommy Lopez of San Jose, Calif., Marcos Lopez and Adam Lopez, both of El Paso; daughters, Melissa Silvas and Jackie Aguilar, both of El Paso, and Jessica Leann Lopez of San Jose, Calif.; father, Inez Lopez of Odessa; mother, Martina Lopez of Odessa; brothers, Alfred Lopez, Eddie Lopez and Andy Lopez, all of Odessa; sisters, Sylvia Lozano, Patsy Hernandez, Sulema Casillas, Melinda Villareal and Deanna Brito, all of Odessa; and grandfather Pete Carrasco of Odessa.

Austin Palmer

ODESSA - Austin James Palmer, infant son of Justin Reed and Kizzy Palmer of Odessa, died Monday, June 30, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Thorpe officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

SURVIVORS: Parents; grandparents, John Palmer and Debra Palmer, both of Odessa; and grandparents, Eugenia Reusch and George Reusch of Odessa.

Ron Stephenson

AMARILLO - Ron B. Stephenson, 49, a real estate agent, died Monday, June 30, 1997, at Canyon.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mescalero Baptist Church of Amarillo with the Rev. Roy Almaroad officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens cemetery. Arrangements by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.

He was born in Plainview and was a resident of Odessa before moving to Amarillo. He was an Air Force veteran and a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Jeanne Stephenson of Amarillo; sons, Robert Neal Stephenson of Round Rock and Russell Bart Stephenson of Amarillo; mother, Louis Stephenson of Odessa; brother, Donald Ray Stephenson of Odessa; sister, Patricia Ann Outcalt of Georgia; and two grandchildren.

Victor Brito Jr.

ODESSA - Victor G. Brito Jr., 21, a carpet layer, died Tuesday, July 1, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Andrews and was a resident of Odessa. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Laura Brito of Odessa; daughter, Abrianna Brito of Odessa; father, Victor Brito Sr. of Odessa; mother, Rosie Brito of Odessa; sisters, Yvonne Brito of Odessa and Elizabeth Navarro of Midland; grandparents, Manuel Castillo and Mary Castillo, both of Midland and Genoveva Brito of Odessa.

James Clancy

ELDORADO, Okla. - James E. Clancy, 67, a retired Northern Natural Gas Co. employee, died Monday, June 30 1997, at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City after a brief illness.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Eldorado Methodist Church with the Rev. Elbert Shumaker officiating.

Burial will be at Restlawn cemetery. Arrangements by Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

He was born in Olustee, Okla., and was a resident of Odessa for 13 years before moving to Olustee. He was a Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Betty Clancy of Olustee; son, Eddie Clancy of Spring; daughter, Rhonda Grisham of Fort Collins, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

Estefana Montanez

FORT STOCKTON - Estefana B. Montanez, 89, a laundry business laborer, died Tuesday, July 2, 1997, in Fort Stockton.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Fort Stockton Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Charlie Geller officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

She was born in Alpine and was a resident of Fort Stockton.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Thomas Montanez of Fort Stockton; sons, Eddie Bustamente and Roman Montanez, both of Seminole; daughters, Virginia M. Gonzales of Fort Stockton and Eva Flores of San Angelo; brother, Pidel Cano of Alpine; sister, Rebecca Fuentes of Bronte; 20 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Harold Skaggs

ALPINE - Harold Skaggs, 68, a maintenance man, died Friday, June 27, 1997, at the Veterans Association Medical Center in Albuquerque, N.M.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.

He was born in Louisville, Ky., and was a resident of Alpine. He was a World War II Army veteran.

SURVIVORS: Stepson, Shawn West of Odessa; stepdaughter, Tonoah Walden of Midland; and two grandchildren.

Lorene Byrom

ODESSA - Lorene Byrom, 75, a retired machinist, died Friday, July 4, 1997, in Odessa.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Charles Sheffield officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Byers and was a member of Westview Church of God.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Richard Baker of Odessa, Fred Byrom of Midland and Westley Byrom of Weatherford; daughter, Billie Gladding of Odessa; brothers, Tom Ellis of San Jose, Calif., Kennith Ellis of Lubbock, Jack Ellis and Billy Ellis, both of Bowie; sister, Gerane Russell of Odessa; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

James Crosson Sr.

COMANCHE - James Monroe Crosson, 73, a retired pipeline supervisor, died Thursday, July 3, 1997.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Comanche Funeral Home.

He was born in Old Glory and lived in Odessa before moving to Gustine. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Leola Crosson of Gustine; sons, James Crosson Jr. and Billy Crosson of Gustine, Jimmy Crosson of Snyder and Larry Crosson of Odessa; daughters, Vicki Cearly of Comanche and Peggy Crosson of Gustine; brother, W.O. Crosson of Artesia, N.M.; sisters, Tressie Box of Ouitron, Okla., and Mozelle Wilson of Gustine; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Joy Henderson

KERMIT - Joy Bee Henderson, 82, a homemaker, died Thursday, July 3, 1997, at Muskogee (Okla.) Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. L.D. Green and Johnny Lee Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.

She was born in Memphis, Texas, and lived in Kermit for more than 50 years before moving to Muskogee, Okla. She was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Riley D. Henderson of Keefton, Okla., Kenneth Henderson of Burgaw, N.C., Terry Henderson of Wink and Larry Henderson of Houston; daughters, Wanda Cooper of Stigler, Okla., and Peggy Baker of Pampa; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Joel Hermosillo

ODESSA - Joel H. Hermosillo, 43, a former roughneck, died Thursday, July 3, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Fuenral Directors. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.

He was born in Fort Stockton and a life-long resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: daughters, Amy Hermosillo and Jamie Hermosillo of Monahans; parents, Hilario and Bertha Hermosillo of Odessa; brother, Esequil Hermosillo of Odessa; and sisters, Sandra Canales of Odessa and Michelle Hernandez of Midland.
