Ronald Browning

KERMIT - Ronald H. Browning, 65, of Kermit, a retired textile worker, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at his residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Allen Harris officiating. Burial will be at the Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.

He was born in Alexander City, Ala., and had been a resident of Kermit for 22 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was Pentecostal.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Lois Browning of Kermit; sons, James Browning, Leon Browning and Barney Browning, all of Kermit; daughter, Denise Speights of Kermit; brother, Charles Browning of Kermit; sister, Colleen Vickers of Kermit; and 12 grandchildren.

Marvin Chambless

HARRAH, Okla. - Marvin F. Chambless, 79, of McLoud, Okla., a retired employee of Phillips Petroleum Co., died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, in Oklahoma City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Asa Smith Funeral Chapel with Kirk Pankrantz officiating. Burial will be at Riverside cemetery in McLoud. Arrangements by Asa Smith Funeral Service.

He was born in McLoud. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: Sons, John Chambless of Harrah and Eric Chambless of Midland; sisters, Inez Butts and Oleta Newton, both of Shawnee, Okla., and Cleo Murphy of McLoud; and a grandson.

Jovita Chavez

McCAMEY - Jovita Chavez, 63, of McCamey, a homemaker, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Barry McLean officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be at Resthaven cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

She was born in Escalon, Mexico, and had been a resident of McCamey since 1982. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Roberto Garcia, Antonio Garcia and Felipe Chavez, all of McCamey; daughters, Delia Chavez of McCamey and Estela Vejil of Odessa; brother, Louis Chavez of Mexico; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mary Dominguez

PECOS - Mary Valdez Dominguez, 58, of Pecos, dietitian director at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at Reeves County Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Manuel Munoz officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Toyah and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Mucio Dominguez of Pecos; son, Jerry Dominguez of Pecos; daughters, Debbie Ramirez, Irene Cox and Norma Rubio, all of Pecos; sisters, Lupe Ortiz of Chandler, Ariz., Celia Levario of Pecos, Eloisa Flores and Becky Natividad, both of Odessa; 15 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Ellen Donahue

ODESSA - Ellen Marie Donahue, 94, of Odessa, retired owner and operator of Donahue Investment Co., died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Hospice House.

Services were at 10 a.m. Friday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Ernest Easley and Bill Cathy officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Plattsburgh, Mo., and moved to Odessa in 1936. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Mildred Mitchell of Odessa; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

Rex Ivey Jr.

ALPINE - Rex Gordon Ivey Jr., 90, of Alpine, a retired rancher, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2001, at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Elm Grove cemetery with the Rev. Phil Bob officiating. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.

He was born in Lometa.

SURVIVORS: Son, Bill C. Ivey of Alpine; sister, Mary Ether McAnelly of Lometa; brother, Bonner Ivey of Lometa; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

George Masters Jr.

ODESSA - George Thomas Masters Jr., 36, of Odessa, a roughneck for Permian Power Tong Co., died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, in Goldsmith.

Services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Herget officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Carlsbad, N.M., and had been a resident of Odessa for 10 years.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Katie Lynn Wilson Masters of Odessa; daughter, Kelcee Lynn Masters of Odessa; sons, Cody Masters and Cory Masters, both of Odessa; mother, Yvonnie Ruth Workman of Odessa; father, George Masters Sr. of Carlsbad; stepmother, Lynn "Mom" Masters of Carlsbad; sisters, Tina Kinney of Midland and Christy Meeks of Magnolia; brothers, Josh Masters and Justin Masters, both of Carlsbad, and Johnny Joe Crowley of Las Cruces; and grandmother, Agnes Nelson of Rockland.

Mildred Nolan

ODESSA - Mildred L. Nolan, 96, of Odessa, a retired owner and operator of Jack Nolan Photography Studio and Jack Nolan Real Estate, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services were at 4 p.m. Friday at Parkview Church of Christ with Charles Jones officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Paris, Texas, and had been a resident of Odessa since 1927.

SURVIVORS: Sisters, Veta Votaw and Cleta Wineberg, both of Odessa.

Melinda Ortiz

ODESSA - Melinda G. Ortiz, 40, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, in Odessa.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Odessa and was a lifelong resident. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Sonya Ortiz of Odessa; sons, Pedro Ortiz Jr. and Joe Michael Ortiz, both of Odessa; father, Ceferino A. Garcia of Odessa; mother, Eve S. Garcia of Odessa; sisters, Mary Ann Rodriguez and Nelda McGuire, both of Odessa; and brothers, Charlie Garcia, Ceferino "Billy" Garcia Jr. and Joe Garcia, all of Odessa.

Albert Siler

SILERTON, Tenn. - Albert V. Siler, 85, of Seminole, a retired farmer, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Memorial Health Care Center in Seminole.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Silerton Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Silerton cemetery. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

He was born in Toon, Tenn., and moved to Seminole from Big Spring in 1966. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Ransom Siler of Houston; brother, Rush Siler of Silerton; sisters, Bivian Naylor and Hazel Beshires, both of Silerton; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Raul Rivera

ODESSA - Raul Molina Rivera, 49, of Odessa died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

Edna Haney

SEMINOLE - Edna Lois Haney, 81, of Seminole, a retired licensed vocational nurse for Seminole Memorial Hospital, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, in Odessa.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lonny Poe officiating. Burial will follow at the Lamesa cemetery in Lamesa. Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral Home. She was born in Lamesa. She was Baptist.

SURVIVOR: Sister, Bertha Bell Little of Odessa.

Amelia Mora

PECOS - Amelia Mora, 80, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos.
