ODESSA - Kellie Deanna Rimer, 33, of Midland, an interior designer, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Easley officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Odessa and was a resident of Midland for six years. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Father, Larry Rimer of Odessa; step-mothers, Pamela Rimer and Margaret Rimer, both of Odessa; brothers, Larry Rimer Jr. and Joshua Rimer, both of Odessa; sister, Melanie Rimer Davis of Odessa; stepsister, Christy King of Abilene; and grandmother, Wilma Matthews of Odessa.

BRADY - Felix Eugene "Gene" Howell, 73, of Brady died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, in Brady.

ODESSA - Hatte Marie Hall, 89, of Odessa, a retired nurse’s aid, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Church of the Nazerene with Terry Pierce officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Fonde, Ky. She came t Odessa in 1970 from St. Louis, Mo. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Othelia Swinney of Odessa; sons, Jerry Hall of San Diego and Henry Hall of Tulsa, Okla. and Sherrill McCarty of Vermont; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Alfonso Jimenez Sr.

ANDREWS - Alfonso P. "Poncho" Jimenez Sr., 71, of Andrews, a carpenter, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at his home in Andrews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Gully officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the church. Graveside services will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Valentine cemetery in Valentine. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

He was born in Marfa. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Edens S. Jimenez of Odessa, Alfonso S. Jimenez Jr. of Andrews and Eugene S. Jimenez of Texarkana; daughters, Elsie E. Reeves of Roswell, N.M. and Alice J. Revelez of Andrews; brothers, Fred P. Jimemez and Chon P. Jimenez, both of Odessa; sisters, Magia J. Nichols of Fresno, Calif., Flora J. Lara and Trinidad J. Trevino of Odessa; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

ODESSA - Thelma Wheat Shepperd, 81, of Odessa, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Cecil Maxey and Jeff Franklin officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill cemetery. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Eastland County. She moved to Odessa in 1947 from Ranger. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Derrell Shepperd of Magnolia; daughter, Vickey Banks of Midland; brothers, Lee Wheat of Ranger and John Wheat of Grand Saline; sister, Pat Herrington of Salado; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

MIDLAND - Jacqueline Buttery, 71, of Midland, a retired teacher for the Midland Independent School District, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Resthaven cemetery with the Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.

She was born in Mead, Okla., and moved to Midland in 1953. She was Baptist.

Maurine Tumlinson

GRANBURY - Maurine Tumlinson, 72, of Cresson, a retired nurse’s aide, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at her residence.

Services were at 3 p.m. Monday at Holly Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Paul Miller and Tom Starnes officiating. Burial was at Holly Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements by Martin’s Funeral Home.

She was born in Odessa and was a resident of Cresson since 1973. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Monroe Tumlinson of Cresson; son, Edward Tumlinson of Granbury; daughter, Bertha Meador of San Angelo; sister, Madeline Glascock of Odessa; brother, Leman Douthit of Odessa; and seven grandchildren.

He was born in Flora, Ill. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was Baptist.
