Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Baptist Temple Church in Troy, Okla., with the Rev. Richard Coffman officiating. Burial will be Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Troy cemetery in Troy, Okla. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel in Kermit.
He was born in Tishomingo, Okla., and lived in Kermit 50 years. He was Baptist.

MONAHANS - Rafael Porras, 72, of Monahans, a retired grocery store owner, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Mass will be at 11 a.m. today at St. John’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be in Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home in Monahans.
He was born in Julimes, Chihuahua, Mexico, and moved to Monahans three years ago. He was Catholic.

PECOS - Jack Howard Rogers, 82, of Pecos, a retired building contractor, died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at Reeves County Hospital.

He was born in Wichita Falls. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and had lived in Pecos since 1944. He was Methodist.

Norberto S. Rivera
ODESSA - Norberto S. Rivera, Sr., 74, died Friday, January 26, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. He was a farmer and became a groundskeeper at Permian High School, retiring in 1995.
There will be no services locally. Funeral Services will be held this week at in Zaragoza with internment to follow at Cemetario Pancho Municipal. Arrangements by Frank Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Zaragoza, Coah, Mexico, June 15, 1926, and lived in Odessa since 1982.
