ODESSA Edward K. Downing Sr., 83, of Odessa, a retired educator, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

He was born in Valley Mills and was a longtime resident of Odessa. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

MARFA Guadalupe "Lupe" Garcia, 71, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at an Odessa hospital.

She was born in Colorado City and had been a resident of Marfa. She was Catholic.

Woodrow Jordan
ODESSA Woodrow "Woody" Jordan, 88, of Odessa, retired owner of an automotive machine shop, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at Avalon Place.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dick Brown officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Irma, Mo., and moved to Odessa in the 1930s from Tulsa, Okla. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

ODESSA Faye Meek, 86, of Odessa, a retired licensed vocational nurse, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at her residence.

She was born in San Antonio and moved to Odessa in 1989. She was Baptist.
