ODESSA – Frank Hernandez Tercero, 75, of Odessa died Sunday Dec. 31, 2000, at his residence.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Frey officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.

He was born in Brogado.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Basilia R. Tercero of Odessa; sons, Frank R. Tercero Jr. of Odessa, J. Carlos Tercero of Ft. Worth; daughters, Teresa Fierro of Odessa, Lily F. Tercero of Ft. Worth; brother, Billy H. Tercero of El Paso; sisters, Josepha Dalton of Fort Lee, N.J., Alicia Moody of Grafton, Ohio, Ellena Gonzalez of Marfa; and six grandchildren.

Opal Young

LUBBOCK – Opal Young, 84, of Lubbock died Wednesday Dec. 27, 2000, in McAlester, Okla.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Resthaven Abbey Chapel with the Rev. Cliff Igo officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home.

She was born in Gordonville. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Nadine Inzer of Odessa, Gloria Jean Hausler of Clarksville, Ark., Cherlyn Kay Dyer of Tacoma, Wash.; sisters, Lindell Siewert of San Diego, Calif.; Peggy Clinton of Tacoma, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Eunice Creekmore

SEMINOLE – Eunice Creekmore, 83, of Seminole died Sunday, Dec. 31. 2000, at Memorial Hospital.

Services are pending with Boyer Funeral Home.

Curtis Abernathy

ODESSA - Curtis Alvie Abernathy, 81, of Odessa, a retired American National Insurance Co. agent, died Friday, May 18, 2001, at a Big Spring hospital.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Wesley Evangelical Methodist Church with the Rev. Ronny Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Marietta, Ga., and moved to Odessa in 1949 from Roswell, N.M. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Gussie Abernathy of Odessa; and brother, Charles Abernathy of Cedartown, Ga.

Larry Bradford

KERMIT - Larry W. Bradford, 58, of Kermit, a construction worker, died Thursday, May 17, 2001, at Baylor Medical Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Northside Baptist Church in Kermit with the Rev. Trey Turner officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.

He was born in Cass County and had been a resident of Kermit for 30 years. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife: Sue Bradford of Kermit; Sons, Randon Bradford and Kelly Bradford, both of Kermit and Ben Bradford of Kingsville; daughter, Redana Cabrera of Kermit; brother, Ernest Bradford of Odessa; sisters, Pam Broadway and Remona Cherry, both of Kermit, Peggy Houtchens of Midland and Melba Turner of Livermore, Calif.; mother, Mona Bradford Galt of Kermit; and 10 grandchildren.

Betty Cox

ANDREWS - Betty Morgan Napper Cox, 71, of Andrews, an operator, died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with the Rev. David Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Baird and moved to Andrews in 1960. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Gary Glenn of Andrews; brother, Tom Morgan of Graham; sisters, Shirley Derebery of Dennison, Margaret Fitzgibbons of Big Spring and Matchie Ribble of Danville, Ind.; and one grandchild.

Karen Hogan

ODESSA - Karen Dale Hogan, 42, of Odessa died Thursday, May 17, 2001, in Odessa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

She was born in Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Brandi Reynalds; sister, Carla Roupp; parents, Wayne and Jimmie Hogan; and grandmother, Trilby Snyder.

Liz Humphrey

ANDREWS - Liz Humphrey, 77, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at Andrews Health Care Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ivy Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Louisville, Ark., and was a longtime resident of Andrews. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Morris Humphrey of Andrews; sons, Don Humphrey of Midland and Mack Humphrey of Farmington, N.M.; brother, Edmond Cornett of McCloud; sisters, Ellen Faye Humphrey of Del City, La., Louis Teare of Vivian, La., Jean Knoddinham of Vivian, La., Nelda Tracwelle of Felton, Mo., and Wanita Watson of Shreveport, La.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Doris Ivy

ODESSA - Doris Jean Ivy, 63, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Friday, May 18, 2001, in Fort Stockton.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church in Fort Stockton with the Rev. Ernie Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

She was born in Starkville, Miss., and had been a resident of Fort Stockton since 1957. She was Christian.

SURVIVORS: Husband, James W. Ivy of Fort Stockton; daughter, Karen Klassen of Olathe, Kan.; stepson, James Ivy III of Midland; stepdaughter, Lori Apodaca of Albuquerque, N.M.; and six grandchildren.

ODESSA - Felipa Matta, 67, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

She was born in Carlsbad, N.M., and had been a resident of Pecos. She was Catholic.

ODESSA - Rita Gonzalez, 47, of Odessa died Sunday, May 20, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

Luis L. Carrillo

ALPINE - Luis L. Carrillo, 55, of Alpine, a carpenter, died Saturday, May 5, 2001, at his residence.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.

Carillo was born in Alpine. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Father, Calistro Carrillo of Odessa; brothers, Andres Carrillo of Midland, Jimmy Carrillo of El Paso, Rodolfo Carrillo of Canutillo and Calistro Carrillo Jr. of Odessa; sisters, Gregoria Melgoza, Juanita Luera and Dina Carrillo, all of Odessa, Viola Valades of Roundrock and Mary Sanchez of Devine; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jamie Klinke

ODESSA - Jamie Lee Ann Klinke, 15, of Odessa, a student, died Sunday, May 6, 2001, at her residence.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Klinke was born in Tucson, Ariz. She was Baptist.
