IRAAN - C.R. “Rye” Rylander, 87, of Iraan, retired owner of Rye Oilfield Supply Co. in Iraan, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. David Weyant and Rick Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Restland cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
He was born in Port Lavaca and was a resident of Iraan since 1949. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Cindy Lutz of Iraan; son, Rick Rylander of Iraan; and five grandchildren.

Mozel Pilcher
LIBERTY - Mozel Pilcher, 77, of Liberty died Monday, July 2, 2001, at her residence.
Services are pending with Pipkin Funeral Home.

Virgina Moss
ODESSA - Virgina Lee Moss, 73, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Friday, June 22, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Marlow, Okla. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Scotty Moss of Odessa; daughter, Robbie Slaughter of Arlington; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Darcy Wilkinson
LUBBOCK - Darcy Wilkinson, 48, of Lubbock, a schoolteacher, died Thursday, June 21, 2001 at her home.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Mills, the Rev. Shera Atkinson and Pat Donley officiating. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home.
She was born in Salina, Kan. She was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Craig Wilkinson of Lubbock; sons, Douglas and Darin Wilkinson of Lubbock; daughter, Diana Wilkinson of Lubbock; mother, Jean Hammann of Odessa; sister, Jodeen Thomas of Odessa; and one grandson.

Mildred Powell
ODESSA - Mildred Lee Powell, 71, of Odessa died Saturday, June 23, 2001 at Medical Center Hospital.

Mickey Johnson
SEMINOLE - Mickey Jo Johnson, 64, of Seminole, an employee of Wal-Mart in Seminole, died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Gaines County cemetery South with the Rev. Dan Dale officiating. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
She was born in Sweetwater and moved to Seminole 59 years ago from Sweetwater. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Scott Johnson of Dallas and Ty Johnson of Tampa, Fla.; and daughter, LaVon Johnson of Euless.

COLEMAN - Mildred Eppler Jones, 79, of Coleman, a homemaker, died Thursday, July 26, 2001, at Abilene Regional Medical Center.
Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Sam Wilson officiating. Burial followed at Shields cemetery. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home.
She was born in Hamilton County and moved to Coleman County in 1936. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Sam Jones of Coleman; daughters, Wanda Whittington of Kermit, Brenda Ainsworth and Cindie Jones Preston, both of Odessa; son, Kenneth Jones of Canyon Lake; brother, Wenton Eppler of Fort Worth; sister, Mabel Eppler Williams of Coleman; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Vallory Orren
ODESSA - Vallory June Orren, 67, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Hospice House.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Craig Martindale officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
She was born in Stephenville.
SURVIVORS: Husband, W. Kenneth Orren of Odessa; sons, Donald Curtis Orren and S. Blake Orren, both of Odessa, and Kenneth Russel Orren of Bakersfield, Calif.; daughters, Tracy Lee Smith and Kelly Buton Boon, both of Odessa; sister, Joyce Hogan of Odessa; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

ANDREWS - Carole Tidwell, 66, of Andrews, retired owner and operator of Mustang Video Store in Andrews, died Friday, July 27, 2001, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ted Short officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. today at Elmwood Memorial Park cemetery in Abilene with the Rev. Jim Reese officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Anson and moved to Andrews in 1975 from Big Spring.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Wanda Tidwell of Odessa, Marcia Tidwell and Vicky Tidwell, both of Andrews, and Lara Hibbard of Houston; sons, David Tidwell, Clay Tidwell and James Tidwell, all of Andrews; mother, Audie Bowers of Abilene; sister, Wanda Anthony of Abilene; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
