KERMIT — Billy Ray Tidwell, 74, of Manor passed from this life in Austin on Thursday, June 7, 2001. He was born April 20, 1927, to James Edward and Grace Marie Roundtree Tidwell in Wortham. He married
Patricia Mather Nov. 27, 1980, in Andrews.
Billy was a special man and will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Tidwell of Manor; five sons, Ronnie Tidwell of Odessa, Danny Tidwell and wife Tammie of Sonora, James Tidwell of Lake Brownwood, Scott Mather of Manor and Lonnie Mather and wife Claudia of Tenn.; two daughters, Rita and L.B. Shifflett of Novice and Sheryl and Jerry Oberle of Bastrop; three brothers, Kenneth Tidwell of Andrews, Don Tidwell of Euless and Teddy Tidwell of Odessa; three sisters, Doris Thomason of Odessa, Anita Lakey of Liberty and Linda Tidwell of Odessa; eight grandsons and seven granddaughters; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Grace, and brother, Bobby.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Kermit cemetery with the Rev. Ted Short of Andrews officiating.

ODESSA — Armando Gonzales Jr., 40, of Odessa passed away Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Fort Stockton. He was born Dec. 5, 1960, in Hobbs, N.M. He moved to Odessa 15 years ago from Hobbs. He married
Malinda Paysinger Nov. 18, 1990. He was a toolpusher supervisor for Timbersharp Drilling Co. He was Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his father, Armando Gonzales Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Malinda Gonzales of Odessa; daughters, Kimberly Ramirez of Hobbs and Brianna Gonzales of Odessa; mother, Carolyn Lopez of Plainview; five brothers, Joe Gonzales, Ray Gonzales, Diego Gonzales and Saul Lopez Jr., all of Hobbs, and Billy Gonzales of Plainview; three sisters, Syndee Martinez of Plainview, Maria Fyke of Carlsbad, N.M., and Rosie Lopez of Odessa; and a granddaughter, Alisa Ramirez of Hobbs.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Little officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

MARFA — Robert H. Gille, 84, of Marfa, an independent contractor electrician, died Friday, June 1, 2001, at Home Hospice House in Odessa.

He was born in Moran, Mich. He was Baptist.

She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had been a resident of Alpine for 17 years before moving to Rockport. She was a Jehovah’s Witness.
