ODESSA — The Rev. R.D. Medlock, 70, of Odessa, a retired minister of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at Hospice House of Odessa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Hanson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Groesbeck and was a resident of Odessa since 1940.

ODESSA — Manuel Antonio Aragon, age 43, of Odessa died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, in Amarillo. He was born April 19, 1958, in Carlsbad, N.M.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Mark Woodruff officiating.
Mr. Aragon had been a teacher for a private school.
He is survived by his wife, Flor Polanco Aragon of Mexico; mother, Maria Aparicio of Odessa; sisters, Norma Clark and Delma Aragon of Odessa and Dorothy Najera of Midland; brothers, Ruben Aparicio of Denver, Colo., Gerardo and Joel Aragon of Odessa; daughter, Jasman Aragon; son, Sergio Anthony Aragon of Mexico; grandfather, Francisco Gonzalez of Odessa; 21 nephews and nieces; and five great-nephews and nieces.

He was born June 7, 1942, in Commerce to Nellie Daniels and Cecil Turner. He was self-employed and a Baptist.
He is survived by his mother, Nellie Imogene Reed of Odessa; son, Christopher Gene Turner of Odessa; daughters, Stacy Jane Noble and Haley Dawn Turner, both of Odessa, and Lynne Turner of Austin; and two grandsons, Daniel Noble and William Turner Ball.

Jesusita Maria Huerta
ODESSA — Jesusita Maria Huerta, 85 years of age, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born May 12, 1916, in Presidio. She married
Juan G. Huerta Oct. 14, 1937, in Marfa. She was a housewife and a Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan G. Huerta Sr.; son, Frank Huerta; parents, Pedro and Lupe Hernandez; brother, Pedro Hernandez Jr.; and sister, Virginia Vargas.
Surviving are her four sons, all of Odessa, Sisto Huerta, Cypriano Huerta, Juan Huerta Jr. and Carlos Huerta; four daughters, Emma Betancourt of Odessa, Mary Garza of Arlington, Ramona Bonilla of Midland and Juanita Villescas of Odessa; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
