ANDREWS — Lillian Bloom, 67, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Church of The Nazarene with the Rev. Robert Williams officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Big Sandy and moved to Andrews in 1960. She was a member of the Nazarene church.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Cheryl Bloom and Kalina Bloom, both of Andrews; sons, Cliff Bloom of Odessa, Damon Bloom of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Terry Bloom of Andrews and Zackery Bloom of Waxahachie; sisters, Shirley Billings of Big Sandy and Nina Mason of Houston; brothers, Billy Johnson and Robert Johnson, both of Big Sandy, and Lonnie Johnson of Odessa; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

E.C. Carter
CENTRALIA — E.C. Carter, 77, of Irvingon, Ill., a business owner, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
Services were at 5 p.m. Sunday at Irvin Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Swisher cemetery in Lake Dallas. Arrangements by Irvin Funeral Home.
He was born in Oklahoma. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Neta Carter of Irvington, Ill.; son, Ron Carter of Midland; daughter, Debi Holmes of Centralia; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Abel Dominguez
MARFA — Abel M. Dominguez, 75, of Marfa, a Safeway clerk, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at his residence.
Services will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Marfa.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Herminia Dominguez of Marfa; daughters, Mae Hernandez, Belinda Dominguez and Minerva Leos, all of Marfa; sisters, Nina Wilcox of El Paso and Elodia Sotelo of LaPuente, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Sherwin Evans
CRANE — Sherwin Evans, 65, of Rankin died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at the Rankin Hospital.
Services are pending with Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

Terry Gettings
ODESSA — Terry Gettings, 54, of Odessa died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Lasaro Abalos Sr.
RANKIN — Lasaro Lopez Abalos Sr., 89, of Rankin, a retired construction laborer, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, in Odessa.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the Rankin Park Building with the Rev. Barry McLean officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Rankin Park Building. Burial will be at the Rankin cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Camargo, Mexico, and was a longtime resident of Rankin.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Paul C. Abalos and Basilio C. Abalos, both of Hereford, Richard C. Abalos, Frank C. Abalos, Lasaro C. Abalos Jr., Rosendo C. Abalos, George F. Abalos and Jesse F. Abalos, all of Odessa, Johnny F. Abalos of Levelland, Selso F. Abalos and Lupe F. Abalos, both of Rankin; daughters, Linda Rojas and Victoria Dominguez, both of Odessa, and Martha Black of Rankin; 55 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

SILVER CITY, N.M. — Scott R. Campbell, 52, of Silver City, N.M., director of quality/risk management at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at his residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. MST Monday at Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Vance Curtis officiating. Burial will be at Memory Lance cemetery. Arrangements by Bright Funeral Home.
He was born in Kansas City, Kan., and had been a resident of Odessa. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
SURVIVORS: Sisters, Sheree Bern of Phoenix and Sandra Bradley of Dallas.

Ernesto Cordova
ODESSA — Ernesto Cordova, 50, of Odessa, a self-employed auto mechanic, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Home Hospice.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Services.
He was born in Aldama, Mexico, and was a resident of Odessa for 16 years.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Clay Omar Cordova, Neri Carrasco, Juan M. Cordova and Cain E. Cordova, all of Odessa; brothers, Jesus Zubia of Monahans, Juan Palma, Goyo Palma, Macimo Ribera and Santos Palma, all of Ojinaga, Mexico; sisters, Caylota Palma, Maria Elena Cordova and Julia Palma, all of Ojinaga; and six grandchildren.

Rosa Funes
MANUEL BENAVIDES, Mexico — Rosa Emma P. Funes, 32, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today at Panteon de Manuel Benavides. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
She was born in Manuel Benavides, Mexico. She was Christian.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Elmer Funes of Dallas; son, Samuel Pina of Odessa; parents, Jesus Lopez Pina and Guillerma O. Pina, both of San Carlos, Mexico; brothers, Alfredo Orozco Pina, Jorge Orozco Pina and Elizardo Orozco Pina, all of Dallas, Ernesto Orozco Pina and Efrain Orozco Pina, both of San Carlos, and Elias Orozco Pina of Odessa; and sisters, Etelbina Pina Medrano of Odessa and Gloria Pina Galindo of San Carlos.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Mount Gilead Baptist Church with the Rev. J. Jerome Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Abernathy cemetery. Arrangements by Jamison’s Funeral Home.
He was born in Lubbock. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Jana Lou Henderson of Lubbock; daughter, Alexis Henderson of Lubbock; son, Mack Henderson Jr. of Lubbock; and a grandchild.

ODESSA — Homer Edward Sparks, 88, of Odessa, a retired employee of Halliburton Energy Services and Texaco Inc., died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Hospice House.
Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Steve Trout officiating. Burial will follow at the Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Rosebud. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Nephew, Larry Sparks of Odessa; and two great-nephews.

ANDREWS — Annie Mae Woods, 78, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, in Andrews.

She was born in Temple.
