MIDLAND — Mara Christine Morgan, 94, of Midland, a retired employee of Wilson Dry Goods Store, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at a local care facility.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Myron Unruh officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Hillsboro and was a longtime resident of Midland. She was Baptist.

IRVING — James Elmer Sweat II, 20, of Irving, a student at the University of North Texas in Denton, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at South McArthur Church of Christ with Arthur Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial cemetery in Ferris. Arrangements by Washington Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Dallas. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

KERMIT — Lencho Abila, 68, of Wink, owner and operator of Lencho’s Citgo Service Station, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church.Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel of Kermit.
He was born in Barstow and had lived in Kermit for 47 years. He was Catholic.

DENTON — Vaughn Baxter Hunt, 71, of Denton, retired owner and operator of AJ Hunt Contracting Co. in Odessa, died Saturday., Nov. 10, 2001, at Denton Community Hospital.

Hunt was born in San Angelo and moved to Denton from Roswell, N.M. and Odessa. He was a U.S. Army veteren of the Korean War. He Presbyterian.

STANTON — Kevin August Keller, 35, of Odessa, a songwriter and guitarist, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at his residence.

HAMILTON — Murdell Rowlett, 78, of Hamilton, retired cafeteria manager, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, in Beaumont.

She was born in Ranger and moved to Hamilton from Andrews. She was Baptist.

KERMIT — Sam A. Cates Sr., 84, of Kermit, a retired self-employed laborer, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at his residence.

He was born in Pontotoc and was a resident of Kermit for 50 years. He was Christian.

She was born in Madison and moved to Odessa in 1974 from Monahans.
