He was born in Oklahoma City and moved to Odessa in 1950 from Monahans. He was an Air Force veteran. He was Methodist.

ODESSA — James “Jim” Anthony Goodwin, 58, of Odessa, chief appraiser and executive director of the Ector County Appraisal District, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with the Rev. Michael A. Jasper officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Sherman and was a resident of Odessa since 1979. He was an Air Force veteran.

SAN ANGELO — Norene Morgan, 89, of Miles, a retired schoolteacher, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Baptist MemorialsCenter in San Angelo.

She was born in Miles and had been a resident of Odessa.

FORT STOCKTON — Ethel Jean Williams, 89, of Fort Stockton, a retired registered nurse, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at her residence.

She was born in Rotan and was a resident of Fort Stockton since 1964. She was Methodist.
