He was born in Ojinaga, Mexico. He was Catholic.

ODESSA - John R. Weisz, 88, of Odessa, a retired office manager for Kewanee Oil Company, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Jack Watkins officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Beaver Falls, Penn., and moved to Odessa in 1948. He was a Baptist.

OZONA - Thomas Henry 'Hank' Wellman, 64, of Ozona, a plumber, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 1997, at his residence.

He was born in Iowa Park and had been a resident of Ozona for 30 years. He was a Methodist.

RUIDOSO, N.M. - Ruby Lee Carver, 88, of Ruidoso, a retired Odessa Police Department employee, died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997, at her residence.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Ruidoso with the Rev. Don Madaris officiating. Arrangements by LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso.
She moved to Ruidoso in 1974. She was Baptist.
