He was born in Alpine and was a lifelong resident.

OJINAGA, Mexico — Jesus Galindo Hererra, 78, of Odessa, a retired farmer, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001, at his residence.

He was born in El Mulato, Mexico. He was Baptist.

ODESSA — Ruth Loveless Todd, 90, of Odessa, a retired worker in land development, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001, at Hospice House.

She was born in Hillsborough and was a resident of Odessa since 1975.

Leroy Boyd
Harlan Leroy Boyd, age 70, of Odessa, passed away at his home on July 3, 2001. His father, Luther Boyd and a brother, Ronnie Boyd preceded him in death.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tom Hiser of Sherwood Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Leroy was born Sept. 11, 1930, in Biggers, Ark. To Luther and Laura Meredith-Boyd. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S. Toledo during the Korean Conflict. He married
Martha Davidson on Nov. 17, 1950, in Odessa. They moved to Odessa in 1952 from Stockton, Calif. after he was discharged from the Navy.
Leroy worked as an electrician for Texas Electric, El Paso Natural Gas, Elcor of Midland and Slough Equipment. He enjoyed hunting, but his favorite hobby was his family.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Boyd of Odessa; sons, Dennis Boyd of Odessa, Larry and wife Gayle Boyd of Victoria; daughters, Karen Boyd and husband David Alexander of Austin, Kay Duree of Odessa, and Amy Boyd of Round Rock; mother, Laura Boyd of Stockton, Calif.; brother, Glenn Boyd of Palm Dessert, Calif.; sisters, Jean Gilmore of Boerne, Joyce Lee of Stockton, Calif., and Rita Aguilar of Duncanville; eight grandchildren — Morgan Boyd, Jarrod Boyd, Marci Boyd, Aaron Gore, Rachel Duree, Danielle Duree, Evan Alexander and Drew Alexander; and three great-grandchildren.
