HASKELL — Jessie W. Neatherlin, 76, of Wink, died Sunday at Winkler County Hospital.
Services are pending with Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors of Haskell.

Grace Asbury
MONAHANS - Grace Asbury, 99, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Hospice House of Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today at Monahans Memorial cemetery with Jeff Box officiating. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
She was born in Portales, N.M., and was a resident of Monahans since 1939. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, John Asbury of Monahans; daughter, Lula Stewart of Odessa; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Ethel Howell
MIDLAND - Ethel Mae Howell, 90, of Midland, retired owner and operator of the Decorating Center in Midland, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, in Breckenridge.
Services were Nov. 28 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Hopkins officiating. Burial followed at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Waco and moved to Midland in 1940. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Larry Howell of Arlington; daughter, Jan Clark of Breckenridge; sisters, Baylor Blair of Omaha, Neb., and Margie Peyton of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Jessie Neatherlin
HASKELL - Jessie Willis Neatherlin, 76, of Wink, a retired oilfield pumper, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Kermit Memorial Hospital in Kermit.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. J.C. Amburn officiating. Burial will follow at Willow cemetery. Arrangements by Holden-McCauley Funeral Home.
He was born in Arizona. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Bonnie Lee Neatherlin of Wink; sons, M.L. 'Tex' Neatherlin of Odessa, Clifton A. Williams of Big Spring, Marshall Dale Pritchard of Stamford and Everett Leon Pritchard of Wink; daughters, Bonita Bale of Lancaster, Shirley Ann Deutsch of Odessa and Jessie Darlene Harris of Aztec, N.M.; brothers, Walton Pierce 'Bud' Neatherlin of Brownwood, Lloyd Ray Neatherlin of Timberton, N.M., and Lonzo Milton Neatherlin of Odessa; sisters, Tressie Gertrude Baxter, Bertha Jane Lespreance, Lenora Ann Lowe and Joyce Laverne Butler, all of Medina; 20 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

Billie Renfroe
MARFA - Billie Clent Renfroe, 64, of Marfa, owner of Presidio County Abstract Co. and Alamito Real Estate Co., died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at a ranch near Alpine.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Daniel Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at the Marfa cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in San Angelo and was a longtime resident of Marfa. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Carolyn Renfroe of Marfa; son, Billy Dell Renfroe of Ozona; daughter, Cami Stephens of Marfa; and four grandchildren.

Otto Renz
BALMORHEA - Otto Herman Renz, 83, of Toyah, a retired rancher, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Balmorhea cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Abbott officiating. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Balmorhea and was a lifelong resident of Toyah.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Susan Renz of Toyah; sons, Jim Renz of Fort Stockton, Lee Renz of Balmorhea and Scott Renz of Alpine; stepsons, Wade Dodson of Angier, N.C., and Brian Gibson of Pecos; sister, Pauline Barton of Cedar Hill; and six grandchildren.

Joe Servantes
MIDLAND - Joe Servantes, 53, of Midland, a truck driver, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, in Crane.
Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Lamesa. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
SURVIVORS: Son, Joe Servantes Jr. of Midland; mother, Maria Servantes of Lamesa; brother, Jesse Servantes of Lamesa; sisters, Louisa Servantes and Mona Martinez, both of Lamesa; and a grandson.

Alan Matthews
MIDLAND - Alan Matthews, 62, of Odessa died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.
Services are pending with Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.

Gordon Smith
ODESSA - Gordon 'Flash' Smith, 70, of Odessa died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at his residence.
Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

Dr. Edwin T. Blair
ODESSA — Dr. Edwin T. Blair, 83, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Jan. 5, 1918, in Paris, Ark. He moved to Odessa in 1946 after serving in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He married Phyllis Adams on Nov. 21, 1950, in Odessa.
Dr. Blair was a pediatric dentist. He practiced in Odessa many years and retired in 1987. He was a life member of the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He was also a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Phyllis of Odessa; son, Phillip Theron Blair of Fort Worth; daughters, Betsy Blair of Manhattan, Kan., and Sallie A. Blair of Midland; and eight grandchildren.
The family will meet with friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Ernest Easley officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at the Oakwood cemetery in Paris, Ark.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Royce C. Mitchell Sr.
ODESSA — Royce C. “Mitch” Mitchell Sr. of Odessa has gone home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001. He was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Eastland County.
Mitch was preceded in death by his sister, Maxine Swindle; parents, Emmitt and Josie Mitchell; grandson, Jeff Mitchell; and father-in-law, Benito Garcia.
Mitch is survived by his wife, Mary Mitchell of Odessa; son, Royce C. Mitchell Jr. of Odessa; daughter, Marla K. Cranson of Odessa; and three stepdaughters, Patricia Rodriguez, Pamela Rodriguez and Nancy Chavez, all of Odessa. Mitch had 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He also had numerous nieces and nephews. Mitch is also survived by a brother, Joe Mitchell of Abilene, and sisters, Midge Green of Fort Worth and Dean Morris of Granbury.
Visitation will begin from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Emmitt Barnard officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Les Mitchell, Wade Mitchell, Donny Mitchell, Joe Dan Mitchell, Dimas Chavez and Justin Cortez.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Home Hospice of Odessa in memory of Royce C. Mitchell Sr.
Services by Odessa Funeral Home.

Serenity Johna Alexander
ODESSA — Serenity Johna Alexander, an infant, was stillborn Sunday, July 22, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services were at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Louis Robinson officiating.
Survivors are her father, Terik McCall of Odessa; mother, Latesha Alexander of Odessa; and grandparents, Royce McKee of Milwaukee, Wis., Katherine Cook and Adrian McCall, both of Odessa.
Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

Matthew Wayne Lummus
ODESSA — Matthew Wayne Lummus, 41, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at his home after a lengthy illness. Matthew was born Oct. 27, 1959, in Odessa to Edward and Odessa Lummus.
Matthew graduated from Permian High in 1978 where he played baseball with the Panthers and Downtown Lions Club. He married his wife of 22 years in Odessa Sept. 15, 1979. He was a longtime employee of Southdown as a welder. He was a member of the Union Trustee at Grace Baptist Church.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. William Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
Survivors include his wife, Erin of Odessa; son, Christopher Lummus of Odessa; daughter, Rebecca Dawn Lummus of Odessa; parents, Arlen and Odessa Lummus of Odessa; brother, Damon Lummus of Odessa; sister, Pam McCollum of Odessa; grandmother, Hazel Lummus of Odessa; and numerous aunts, uncles and nephews.
The family request memorials to the American Cancer Society and Grace Baptist Pew Fund.
