FORT STOCKTON - Guadalupe Carrasco Benavides Jr., 20, of Fort Stockton, an oilfield motor man, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, in Ozona.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Assembles de Dios Triunfo de la Fe with the Rev. Ventura De La Rosa officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born in Fort Stockton and was a lifelong resident.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Guadalupe and Mary Lou Benavides of Fort Stockton; brother, Michael Benavides of Fort Stockton; sisters, Mary Cela Ochoa and Christina Benavides, both of Pecos; grandparents, Jesus and Maria Benavides of Fort Stockton; and great-grandmother, Maria Del Refugio Morales of Fort Stockton.

ROBERT LEE - Olvia 'Dutch' Brown, 90, of Robert Lee, a homemaker, died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at Hospice House.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Southside Church of Christ with Frank Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Robert Lee cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer Funeral Home.
She was born in Coke County.
SURVIVORS: Son, Paul Newton Brown of Odessa; sister, Ruby Hearn of Pasadena; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

ODESSA - Frank Buffenbarger, 76, of Odessa, a retired sheet metal worker, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was an Army veteran. He was Lutheran.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Aileen Buffenbarger of Odessa; sons, Doyle Butch Smith of Tucson, Ariz., and Wendell Smith of Andrews; daughters, Fern Elderding of Decatur, Ind., Ilene Bunny Maerker of Wilcox, Ariz., Carolyn Gerlach of Odessa and Sue Bizek of Detroit; brother, Don Buffenbarger of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

McCAMEY - Aubrey Carroll, 83, of Lubbock, a retired employee of West Texas Utilities, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, in Lubbock.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Resthaven cemetery with Sheldon Johnson officiating. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home.
He was born in Quanah and had been a longtime resident of McCamey. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Jean Carroll of Lubbock; son, James Aubrey Carroll Jr. of Carenage, Trinidad; daughter, Pat Blackwell of Lubbock; sisters, Jean Malone of Clovis, N.M., Lorie Nelson of Palm Springs, Calif., Marie Bennett of Upland, Calif., and Fran Deigan of Lake Elisnore, Calif.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

ODESSA - Mary Edge McWilliams, 67, of Odessa, a retired real estate broker and saleswoman, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Odessa cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Pyote and moved to Odessa 20 years ago from Hermosa, Beach, Calif. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Dana Guy Wilson and David Jay Wilson, both of Odessa; brothers, Bill Edge and Gary Edge, both of Odessa, and Jimmy Edge of El Paso; sisters, Linda Edge Moore and Carol Edge Reneau, both of San Angelo; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

ODESSA - R.A. 'Ancel' Palmer, 91, of Odessa, a retired airport manager, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Center.
SURVIVORS: Son, Robert Ancel Palmer Jr. of Dallas; and stepdaughter, Barbara J.H. Johnson of Odessa.

ODESSA - Larry F. Turner, 59, of Odessa, retired owner of Turner Auto Supply, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ with Roy Smalling and Deral McWhorter officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Big Spring and moved to Odessa in 1957 from Terminal. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Sharon E. Turner of Odessa; sons, Todd Turner, Larry F. Turner and Justin Turner, all of Odessa; stepson, Scotty Denney of Odessa; daughters, Sherry Rood and Leslie F. Turner, both of Odessa; stepdaughter, Lori L. Denney of Odessa; parents, Jack and Maureen Turner of Odessa; and five grandchildren.

ANDREWS — Linda Lee Hanks, 60, of Corpus Christi, a schoolteacher, died Monday, June 25, 2001, at Sunny Brook Healthcare Center in Corpus Christi.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Andrews North cemetery with the Rev. Robert L. Bonnington officiating. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mathias Episcopal Church. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Le Flore County, Okla., and had been a resident of Andrews.

DURANT, Okla. — Gene Rains, 87, of Durant, Okla., a retired custodian, died Friday, June 22, 2001, at Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant.

He was born in Henryetta, Okla., and had been a resident of Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Ranell Rains Hopkins of Houston; sisters, Lucille Long and Mary Stephanos, both of Dallas; two granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter.

CRANE — Mattie Buchanan Staggs, 78, of Odessa, a retired nurse, died Monday, June 25, 2001, at Avalon Place Nursing Center.

She was born in Goodrich, Tenn.

She was born in Detroit. She was Lutheran.
