He was born in San Ignacio, Mexico, and moved to Odessa in 1986 from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

FREER - Adolfo Homero Garcia, 55, of Fort Stockton, an employee of the Department of Criminal Justice in Fort Stockton, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, in Odessa.

He was born in Alice. He was an Army veteran.

Lois L. Craddock
Lois L. Craddock, 89, of Burnet, passed away at her home Monday, Dec. 31, 2001. She was born Sept. 13, 1912, and was a long-time resident of both Hobbs, N.M. and Odessa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Craddock of Shell Pipeline, and the brother of Mrs. Frank Baker of Odessa.
She is survived by two daughters, Lexey Griggs of Burnet, and Annette Harris of Dayton. She leaves eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial Services will be held at a later date at the Burnet Presbyterian Church.
Services are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Homer Willis Hagerty
ODESSA - Homer Willis Hagerty, 88, of Odessa, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at the Hospice House.
He was born July 18, 1913, in Clarksburg, W. Va. He married
Addie Marie Hunt in 1935 in San Angelo. He moved to Odessa in 1960 from McCamey. He served in the Navy Sea Bees in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1989, and his daughter Dolores Hagerty Knight in 1997.
He is survived by three sisters, Pegy Hamby of Cat Springs, Texas, Virginia Kinsey of San Marcos and Mary Hunt of San Angelo; grandson, David Knight of Round Rock; and two great-grandchildren, Travis and Natasha Knight.
Family will visit with friends from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Hubbard-Kelley Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice House of Odessa.

ODESSA - Marie C. Thurman, 85, of Selma, Ala., died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at the Selma Baptist Hospital. She was born March 3, 1916, in Catherine, Ala.
She was a homemaker and a member of Johnson’s Chapel Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Thurman; daughters Ama Jean Thurman Simpson and Enna Jean Thurman Reese; and son, Andrew Thurman Jr.
She is survived by sons, Willie James Thurman and wife Virginia of Pittsburg, Texas, Curtis Thurman and wife Vivian of Midland, Leon Thurman and wife Betty of Sacremento, Calif. and Maurice Thurman of Dallas; daughter, Mozel Jones and husband John of Folsom, Calif.; brothers, Wilmore Clark of Birmingham, Ala. and Rev. Moses Clark and wife Lucille of Atmore, Ala.; sisters, Cemtial Lewis and husband Joe of Pensacola, Fla., Betty Cox of Prichard, Ala., Ida M. Clancy and Rebecca Jenkins both of Camden, Ala., Estelle Pointer of Tuskegee Institute, Ala. and Lucille Hill and Susie Westry both of Detroit, Mich.; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; son-in-law John A. Reece Sr. of Selma, Ala.; brother-in-law Edward Thurman of Selma, Ala.; sister-in-law, Annie Rucker of Orrville, Ala.; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
