She was born in San Angelo and had been a resident of Jal, N.M. She was Presbyterian.

Imogene Petree
CRANE - Imogene “Gene” Petree, 80, of Crane, a homemaker, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at Crane Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tommy Parker and Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be at the Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
She was born in DeKalb and was a longtime resident of Crane. She was Christian.

Ronald “Ron” Gardner Reed
GARDNER, Kan. - Ronald “Ron” Gardner Reed, 75, of Wellsville, Kan., died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at the Wellsville Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 14, 1926, in Garden City, Kan., to Glenn McKinley Reed and Wilma Mayer Reed. He moved to Wellsville in 1984. Before moving to Wellsville, he had lived in Ottawa, Kan. He graduated from Galesburg Kansas High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1947. He was a graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in broadcasting and communications. He married
Ruth Keller Reed June 6, 1953, in Lawrence, Kan. He was a sales manager for KOFO Radio Station in Ottawa for 15 years. He reenlisted in the Navy for service at the Pentagon after leaving Ottawa.
He was a member of the 15th Street Church of Christ in Ottawa. He was also a member of the Ottawa Lions Club and Gardner American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, and a sister, Iris Arnold.
Survivors include a son, James Patrick and wife Marilyn Reed of LeLoup, Kan.; a daughter, Karen Sue Reed of Odessa; a brother, Sam C. Reed of Austin; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Bruce Funeral Home in Gardner. Burial was at the Gardner cemetery. Military honors were held at the graveside services.

Victor Yanez Jr.
BIG SPRING - Victor R. Yanez Jr., 58, of Big Spring, a retired employee of Fiberflex, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, at his residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park. Arrangements by Myers and Smith Funeral Home.
He was born in Big Spring and was a lifelong resident. He was Catholic.

ODESSA - James Hubert Cleveland, 79, of Odessa died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

He was a WWII veteran. He was Methodist.

He was born in Port Lavaca and was a long-time resident of Seminole. He was Catholic.

Ralph Denton
MIDLAND - Ralph Durwood Denton passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, March 25, 2002.
Ralph was born Feb. 2, 1937, in Big Spring to Ralph Mitchell and Trella Aline Denton. On July 30, 1962, he married
Carol Renee Keele in Blackfoot, Idaho. He has been a resident of Midland since his retirement after 20 years in the Navy in 1975. After retiring from the Navy, he was an insurance inspector for Hartford Steam Boiler Insurance and Inspection.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol; and his brother, Kenneth.
Ralph is survived by his sons, Ralph Michael Denton and his wife Dana of Kingwood and Thomas Allen Denton and his wife Louise of Provo, Utah; and his daughter, Patricia Lynn McShane and her husband Darin of Katy. He is also survived by his brothers, Jerry and Bobby Denton of Carlsbad; his sisters, Lenna Mae Bradford of Carlsbad, Teresa Ann Burgin of Arlington and Diana O’Dwyer of Stephenville; and nine grandchildren, Taryn, Elizabeth, Hayden, Eyn, Shad, Jacob, Rachel, Colby and Trent.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 27, 2002, at Ellis Funeral Home.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4805 Gateway St. in Midland with Bishop Blaine J. Bushman officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
Samuel Roy Espinoza
ODESSA - Samuel Roy Espinoza, 43, of Odessa passed away Sunday, March 24, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born May 5, 1958, to Leopoldo and Elva Espinoza in Alpine.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with Pastor Don Goforth officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 26, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Chapel.
Samuel moved to Odessa in 1978 from Alpine. He worked for Standard Sales and Glaciers Wholesale for five years. He was an artist and a member of Fountain of Life Missionary Church.
Pallbearers will be Leo Espinoza Jr., Richard Aguilar, Joe Espinoza, Ruben Alvarado and Raymond Gonzalez.
His grandmother, Cande Molinar; his grandfather, Vicente Molinar; and his paternal grandparents, Manuel and Esequiel Espinoza preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Samuel Vincent Espinoza of Odessa; daughters, Brandy E. Aguilar, Jennifer Espinoza and Katie Espinoza, all of Odessa; parents, Elva Espinoza of Odessa and Leo Espinoza Sr. of Odessa and Alpine; brother, Leo Espinoza Jr. of Odessa; sisters, Candy Torres, Yvonne Espinoza and Melissa Alvarado, all of Odessa; grandchildren, Bryan J. Aguilar, Deaven Aguilar and Damian Espinoza; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
