GIDDINGS - Floyd Marshall Rodden, 52, of Giddings died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2002, at Phillips and Luckey Chapel in Giddings with Ray Cantrell officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Smyrna cemetery in Milano.
He was born March 6, 1950, in Odessa to Travis Marshall Rodden and Wanda Mildred Thomason. He was a pipeline welder for Pumpco, Brad and Sons Co.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and brother-in-law, Jack Streicher.
He is survived by his daughters, Amy and her husband Dave Howeth of Magnolia and Gail Williams of Giddings; son, Chris Halderman of Giddings; wife, Linda Rodden of Giddings; grandchildren, Christopher Howeth of Magnolia, Breeanna Williams of Giddings and Anastasia Howeth of Magnolia; parents, Travis and Mildred Rodden of Milano; brother, James Colt Rodden of Milano; sisters, Troy Andra Rodden of Dallas and Wanda Valera Streicher of Midland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patti Diane Stamper
CEDAR HILL - Patti Diane Stamper, 59, a childcare provider, died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at her home in Cedar Hill.
She was born Feb. 10, 1943, in Glendale, Va., to William J. “Jack” Feeler Jr. and Patti Nell Feeler of Odessa. Patti grew up in Odessa where she resided until graduation.
She attended Crockett and Bonham junior high schools and graduated from Permian High School in 1961. She received a degree in nursing from Shannon Nursing School in San Angelo in 1964.
After living for a time in the Philippines, Patti moved to the Dallas area. She lived in Cedar Hill for 30 years.
Her oldest child, Sharyle Alanette Hussey, was born in San Angelo in 1966. Tanisha Dawn Hussey was born in 1972 in Dallas. Patti married
Jim Stamper in 1981, and their son, Kelan Kyle Stamper, was born in Dallas in 1982.
Sharyle died in an automobile accident near Clyde in 1974, and Patti’s mother, Patti Nell Feeler, died in 1975. She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Annie Feeler in 1956; her grandfather, W.J. “Bill” Feeler Sr. in 1983; and her uncle, Johnnie Feeler in 1999.
Patti worked as a registered nurse for several years and provided childcare in Cedar Hill for 30 years. Children - her own as well as her nieces, nephews, grandchildren and the many children she cared for - have been the love of her life.
She became a Christian in 1963 and her aim has been to serve and honor Christ. Her favorite song was “How Great Thou Art.”
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2002, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville with the Rev. Dave Smith of New Hope Church of Duncanville officiating. Arrangements are by Jaynes Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2002, at Ector County cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Dennis officiating.
Patti is survived by her father, Jack Feeler and wife Madlynne of Cedar Hill; husband, Jim Stamper of Cedar Hill; son, Kelan Kyle Stamper of Cedar Hill; daughter, Tanisha Dawn Steadman and husband Todd of Maypearl; stepchildren, Greg and Amy Stamper of Cedar Hill; brothers, Larry Feeler and wife Pam of Odessa, Billy Feeler and wife Lori of Odessa and David Hunton of Carlsbad; sisters, Judy Pease and husband Jay, Melody Bush and Carole Anne Hunton, all of Odessa; and three grandchildren, Kambri and Karlye Steadman of Maypearl and Logan Stamper of Cedar Hill. She is survived by six nephews, Chase, Dodge and Ross Feeler and Derrick, Ethan and Jeffrey Bush. She is also survived by five nieces, Adrianne Bush, Natalie and Rachel Feeler and Deondra and Ta’Lor Hostettler.

Manuel Antonio Galindo Sr.
ODESSA - Manuel Antonio “Gordo” Galindo Sr., 36 years of age, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2002, following an automobile accident.
He was born March 18, 1966, in Ojinaga, Mexico, to Alberto and Angela Galindo.
He was preceded in death in his father, Alberto Galindo.
He is survived by his wife, Leticia Galindo of Odessa; son, Manuel Antonio Galindo Jr. of Odessa; daughters, Jessica Galindo and Angie Galindo, both of Odessa; his mother, Angela Galindo of Odessa; brothers, Jose Galindo, Ubaldo Galindo, Isaiaz Galindo and Luis Galindo, all of Odessa, and Homero Galindo of Midland; sisters, Guadalupe Galindo and Barbara Urias, both of Odessa, and Eva Galindo of Pecos; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2002, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Serafin Avenido officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.

Durwood Cook Hudson
ODESSA - Durwood Cook Hudson, 76, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Dec. 19, 1925, in Abilene.
Durwood married
Claudine Mae Murray on June 9, 1946, and moved from Fort Worth, where he attended barber school, to McCamey. They moved to Odessa in 1949. Durwood was a barber in McCamey and Odessa for 53 years and retired in 1997.
He served in the Navy during World War II and served on the USS Lexington. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, the Galilean Bible class and Young at Heart fellowship.
Durwood was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Effie Ladelle Hudson of McCamey; his daughter, Cindy Brown of Odessa; brothers, Joe and Billy Hudson; and sisters, Thelma Owens, Buena Price, Norma Jean Ivy, Maureen DeMerritt, Pauleen Powell and Lela Hickox.
He is survived by his wife, Claudine; daughters, Claudia Anderson of Bastrop and Cathy Thomason of Odessa; sister, Tommie Dean of Lufkin; nine grandchildren, Chris Cook of Dallas, Chad Cook of Dallas, Heather Caswell of Odessa, Corrie Thompson of Odessa, Melissa Hunt of Laredo, Jeff Thomason of Florida, Scott Thomason of Odessa, Monica Stewart of Wyoming and Thomas Butler of California; and 11 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Dalton and Jonathan Cook, Dillon and Anita Thompson, Kodie Caswell, Austin, Alex and Aaron Hunt, Jaret Thomason and Kayla Stewart.
Durwood was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

ODESSA - Terry Ford Levett, 39, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Jan. 4, 1963, in Kalamazoo, Mich. He married
Tosha Alderidge on Jan. 11, 2002, in Odessa. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a Protestant.
Terry was preceded in death by grandparents, William Bailey, Mrs. Corky Levett and Ed Levett.
He is survived by his wife, Tosha Levett of Odessa; daughter, Victoria “Dani” Alderidge of Odessa; parents, George and Arlean Levett of Ozona; grandmother, Vada Bailey of Plainwell, Mich.; step grandmother, Dorothy Levett of Plainwell, Mich.; uncles, Mr. and Mrs. William Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Craig Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Levett, all of Plainwell, Mich.; aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Anderson of Hasting, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Risner of Plainwell, Mich.; father and mother-in-law, David and Billie Alderidge of Odessa; grandfather and grandmother-in-law, Fred Alderidge of Odessa and Glenda Littlejohn of Monahans; sister-in-law, Tiffany Alderidge of Odessa; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Orbie Howard Redman
ODESSA - Orbie Howard Redman, age 86, of Odessa died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, in Odessa. He was born April 26, 1915, in Prague, Okla., to Omer and Della Redman.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 22, 2002, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Melvin Warren of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
He married
Dorothy Vessels on Aug. 18, 1937, in Odessa. Mr. Redman served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Germany where he was wounded and became disabled. He was an independent wholesale and retail gasoline operator. He was an art teacher and artist in Odessa where they raised their family. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was an ordained Baptist deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was a loving and caring husband and father. He was an avid traveler and fisherman.
Mr. Redman was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debra Kay Redman; and a brother, Orvilee Redman.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Redman of Odessa; sons, Gerald D. Redman of Central, Bobby H. Redman and wife Toni of Midland and Jerry Don Redman and wife Sue of Scottsdale, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Frankie E. Daniel Crawford
BONHAM - Frankie E. Daniel Crawford, age 70, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, in Odessa. She was born April 26, 1931, in Gober.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 20, 2002, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Interment will follow at Arledge Ridge cemetery. There will be no local services.
Mrs. Crawford retired from Dunlap’s Department Store after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Damon R. Crawford in August 1972, and her parents, Mina and Doyle Daniel.
She is survived by sons, Dan Crawford and wife Linda of Austin and Dickie Crawford of Odessa; daughter, Debbie Adame and her husband Louie of Odessa; granddaughter, Angie Sterling and her husband Robert of Odessa; grandson, Justin Crawford of Odessa; two great-grandchildren, Svana and Jakobe Sterling; sisters, Tuffie Mankin of Lubbock, Carol Carter of Plano and Pat Lawson of Angleton; a brother-in-law, Ray Cooper of Bonham; and many wonderful nieces and nephews also survive her.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful and caring staff in the ICU unit at Odessa Regional Hospital and the many wonderful specialists and doctors.

Jim A. James
ODESSA - Jim A. James, 65, of Odessa passed away Monday, March 18, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born June 30, 1936, in Spur.
Jim married
Nell Smith May 18, 1957, and moved to Odessa in 1963. Jim worked in the oilfields and came to own and retired from J.S.M. Drilling in 1997. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, John.
He is survived by his loving, Nell “Nana” James; sons, Danny James and Lann James and wife Heidi; daughter, Sabrina Jones, all of Odessa; brothers, Bill James of Mansfield and Joe James of Brownwood; sisters, Odell Howton of Duncan, Okla., and Marciel McAlpin of Abilene; eight grandchildren, Scott and Krista Wiehle of New Haven, Conn., Will and Crystal Jones of Odessa, Daniel James of Roswell, N.M., Laci James of Odessa and Brandyn James of Ozona; three great-grandchildren, Carson Pardue, Kennedy Wiehle and Mason James; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Jim was a devoted husband, dad, granddad, brother and uncle. Aside from being a dedicated family man, he loved Mojo football.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
