She was born in Monahans and was a longtime resident of Midland. She was Baptist.

KERMIT - Vickie Ruiz, 56, of Kermit, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, at her residence.

She was born in Barstow and was a 39-year resident of Kermit. She was Catholic.

She was born in Clarkville and had lived in Wickett since 1985. She was Baptist.

ALPINE - Addie Louise Cowell, 88, of Monahans, a retired nurse, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Tom Gorman and Robert Mitchel officiating.
She was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., and had lived in Alpine for 61 years before moving to Monahans in 1987. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Bessie Marie Harkey of Monahans, Gladys Lindeburg of Hondo and Marion Myers of Houston; sons, Charles 'Pete' Cowell of Midland, and Lee H. Cowell and Billy Eugene Cowell, both of Alpine; sister, Billie Roberts of Alpine; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
